Met a friend here for brunch. We arrived when they were first opening. We were sat at a two top. Unfortunately, their seats don't allow for purses to hang over the back, so we had to request an additional chair to set our purses on since they were not able to accommodate us at a large table due to additional reservations. We both participated in the bottomless brunch option. The cocktails were really good. We had the crab Rangoons and I had omelet. Both were delicious. I will definitely be back.

What's not to love about a place where great food, amazing martinis, and TV screens can be found?! Our waiter Alp was incredible and he did a great job providing us with recommendations for drinks and best eats. I also wish to shoutout the entire serving staff. Their kindness and attentiveness to guests did not go unnoticed. First, when you sit at your table prepare to be given the option for water with fresh add ons: sliced oranges, cucumbers, lemons, or limes. You take your pick! Next, we went to watch the soccer game and was able to sit by the comfy highboys in front of the bar. The entire ambiance of the bar gave a vintage feel. All of the decor from the door to the bathroom had an excellent design touch. Drinks: Alp informed us that they were known for their martinis and he wasn't wrong! I ordered the Filthy Greek which carried a perfect bitter balance and is ideal for those who don't like sugary drinks. LOVED IT! My boyfriend ordered the Mezcal mule and I must say that he thoroughly enjoyed it! Food: can I just say that their food is STELLAR! It's very rare that I'd find a restaurant and enjoy everything from the starter to the main course. Starter- we ordered the Gyro egg rolls to start and HONEY! These egg rolls melted in my mouth with each bite. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender and the rich dough securely kept all of the ingredients inside, creating a surprise with each bite. What a phenomenal dish. They paired it with tzatziki and green sauce (both worth trying) Sorry but my mouth is salivating as I type this review-that's how INCREDIBLE they were! For my main I ordered the Angie burger which comes with fries. BEST SMASHED BURGER in TOWN! The patties were juicy-a theme found in their savory dishes. The sesame seed bun was perfectly baked and buttery soft! The toppings were ideal, in fact, the entire burger needed no support-AMAZING! The fries were also delicious as I had a few and took home the rest. My boyfriend ordered the Wagyu French dip sandwich and after a bite, I can see why he kept raving about it. This place marinates their meats to perfection and everything that we had was melting upon bite and bursting with flavors. We did not have room for dessert but already have one in mind for when we return. Great place to catch a game! Quality vintage bar Incredible food Remarkable drinks Affordable prices Excellent service! What's not to love about anything listed above. They also have great lunch and dinner deals so please check it out.

I recently took my wife to bar Angie for date night. I was pleased by my experience. They have a pretty wide variety to choose from as it refers to their cocktails. The host and staff we had for the evening was fantastic. The Cajun style add to the stake was elite. I was a little disappointed of the Angie burger. For the price point, I was expecting burger with a lot more flavor. Nevertheless, the experience was good and the bar was pretty lively because of one of the World Cup games.

Came here recently for lunch Sunday--food and service were excellent! Our server Don was friendly & attentive, and made our experience much more fun! This place offers Bottomless Martinis for $45--highly worth it if you want a few drinks minimum. They have a martini cart that comes around to make your martini, but it was slow service--our other cocktails (made at the bar) were brought out way before the cart came by our table. Cool perk, if you tag them on social media, you get a free round of shots! Food was delicious--everything is well flavored and good portion size. Highly recommend the Angie Burger, Wagyu French Dip, and Lobster Salad. The Mussel Frites and Lobster "Escargot" were good too!

I went to Bar Angie for lunch as a solo diner. I was seated right away and immediately taken care of. There is even a server walking around with freshly cut citrus and asks you if you'd like any in your water (free of charge may I add). Because it was lunch and I was alone, my order was light but that didn't affect the way the server treated me in the slightest! I got one lobster and caviar roll with a side of Angie fries. The sauces for the fries were all so delicious I can't decide which was best! The lobster roll was the perfect size for me, but may be small for others, so that might be more of a preference thing. However, you can order by piece so you can adjust to your appetite! It was not fishy and they did not skimp on the lobster or caviar. The perfect amount given the price is $20 per piece! The inside was clean and well lit, such a cool spot. They also offer matchbooks if you collect! It was very modern and open. They also have a lovely patio (covered) with heat lamps. Definitely a place I would recommend!

Did a happy hour for two at the high top tables. The Angie's Happy Meal is a cute concept but if you're hungry expect to keep ordering. The drinks were great, would come back for those alone. Will definitely come try some additional menu items

Bar Angie is a great spot for a girls night. My friends and I went for a few drinks and bite to eat, and the drinks were great. The presentation of them is so nice you don't even want to drink some of them. The oysters were really tasty. We tried the lobster salad which couldn't used more lobster for the price, but it tasted good overall. I have not tried a full meal here yet, but definitely a great place for some apps and drinks with your friends!

Bar Angie may be be on a quiet street in West End but it sure is lively and fun. My friend and I went on a Saturday night and while there was no live music there was a big crowd and it was very loud. I could barely hear my friend or the waiter. The service was good but distanced though I didn't feel like we were being ignored. I had a dirty martini and my friend had a glass of white wine. We shared the lobster escargot and the grilled corn salad to start. The lobster escargot was delicious and dipping the bread into the butter was the best part. I liked that they split the salad for us and it was fresh, crunch and crisp. The choice of water garnish was also a nice touch (I'm boring and choose a lemon) as was the whipped butter. My friend wanted the swordfish milanese but they were out of swordfish so she went with the chicken. It was a huge piece of chicken and she enjoyed it. I had the wagyu french dip and it was so tender. The horseradish and the au jus were the perfect compliments. We were so full that we didn't get dessert but I would love to go back to try some other items on the menu and get a sweet treat.

My family who has visited me in DC many times over the years rated this their best meal here ever. That's about the highest compliment you can get. Honestly, I almost hesitated to post this because it's already tough to get a reservation...but it absolutely deserves the hype. The space is large and versatile: a big outdoor patio (weather permitting), a lively bar area with TVs, and a main dining room. That said, they really pack people into the dining area - it's dark, moody, and can get very loud. Something to keep in mind if you're with a group or bringing older family members. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. Several of the hosts at the front seemed like it was their high school weekend gig where they received no training, were disorganized, and not particularly welcoming...no greeting, no smile, and seemed overwhelmed. On the flip side, the waitstaff was fantastic despite how busy it was, and the bus team kept everything moving and tables spotless. The menu isn't groundbreaking. It leans heavily into that French bistro/NYC brasserie vibe (think Le Diplomate or Pastis), but the execution is excellent, with some fun, elevated touches (caviar options, seafood towers, lobster escargot, ...). As for the food: sooo good. We started with the crab rangoons and French onion soup...both standouts. For mains, the French dip was massive and perfectly done (the horseradish was very mild, which I actually preferred), and the spicy rigatoni was the kind of dish you don't want to stop eating and lick the plate when you're done. Even the lobster salad impressed. Truly not a miss across the board. We wrapped up with espresso martinis and crème brûlée: an ideal ending to a great meal. I'd absolutely come back to explore more of the dinner menu (and even brunch). One last note: the area is still pretty quiet, which makes parking easy, but also means there's not much to do before or after. If you have nearby recs, I'm all ears.

Our first time here and I/we absolutely loved this restaurant in DC. Food was delicious-Fresh ingredients and very enjoyable. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and pleasant. We had an array of food: Corn salad ( I think it was called) was absolutely divine with a light lemon vinaigrette dressing. Caesar slides, and Chx Pillard. Everything was fabulous and I would come again when visiting again.

Service needs to be improved. It took a while to even just get water. The food tasted ok but was not good enough to justify the high price. I will say the fries were very tasty.

Everything was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. I loved the espresso martinis, and my partner really enjoyed the Pinot Grigio. Some of our favorite dishes were the crab rangoons, the lobster caviar roll, and the burger. Our server, Joe, was phenomenal and truly made the experience feel special. He thoughtfully brought each dish out in courses so we could enjoy and share everything at the perfect pace. I would absolutely recommend dining here and can't wait to come back.

Bar Angie was such a cute adult playground. We went for happy hour and split a bunch of appetizers and small plates which was the perfect way to dine there. The martinis were balanced nicely and they had so many varieties so there's bound to be something for anyone. The wagyu in a blanket was a cute play on a classic but my favorite thing was the adult happy meal which came with a martini, cheeseburger, fries, and ring pop!

Server came by, not so much as a greeting or introduction, just a short, "do you know what you want?" Fine - no problem. We ordered two avocado toasts and side of fries to share. Now, the menu clearly says the avocado toasts are served with a "runny egg". Ok sure, no problem. What i did not anticipate was a half raw egg with the yolk swimming in a sea of translucent completely uncooked "whites". It was like a golden disc encased in a snot rocket. Ok, maybe that's their "runny". Slide it off the toast and press on - snail trail of mucus be damned. The avocado spread was great - bright, citrusy, and well seasoned. The "hot sauce" was likely from a bottle and could have been left off. The radishes would have benefitted from being tossed in lemon, salt and pepper. The image of the "runny" egg was too much so I ate half the toast serving and meandered to the fries. Not bad, crispy , hot, and...wait...sweet...something is off, I can't put my finger on it but at least it's not a raw egg. I keep eating. My kids looks at me and says, "do these remind you of funnel cake?" THAT'S IT - FUNNEL CAKE. We have both had enough, ask for the check. The garlic aioli dip was a great pairing for them. The burger was fine. It wasn't anything out of this world but it was still good. All the toppings blended well with the burger. From start to finish, I have absolutely no negative feedback at all. 1. The Food Everything we ordered was completely divine! Here's the rundown: -Sandwiches: My husband got a Bogan Bun. My son a Mumbo Bun chicken sandwich and listen, he didn't speak a single word the entire meal because he was enjoying it so much! I ordered the Lucky Bun made with an Impossible patty. It was everything! Best I've had at a restaurant! In fact, my son, who loves beef burgers and claims he doesn't like plant based meat, ended up eating the rest of my burger! He tore that plant based meat DOWN! -Thick cut chips & Queso: The waiter let us know that their portion of fries (chips) could easily feed 3 to 4 people. He was not lying at all. The three of us shared one basket. I don't know if the sandwiches or the fries stole the show. These fries were seasoned to absolute perfection!!! SERIOUSLY! Not the typical sprinkle on top, but seasoned on every single side like someone picked up each fry and hand sprinkled each fry. Think I'm fibbing look at my pic. We ordered a side of queso for dipping and it was so good I wish I had some right now. If you're reading, hear me out Lucky Bun....add tortilla chips and queso to the menu please!!!! I would buy it just to scoop up that delicious cheese. -The Garlic Aioli: why am I highlighting a condiment???? Because!! lol!! It wasn't just standard mayo mixed with garlic powder. You could tell someone actually finely minced fresh garlic and herbs into it. It was so good I couldn't decide whether to dip my fries in the aioli or the queso! So that's why it's in my review! 2. Service The service was exceptional. There was no wait time at all. We walked straight in and were seated immediately. The food came out extremely fast which surprised us since we all ordered completely different proteins. They were speedy but all of our food arrived perfectly warm. The host, a slim gentleman, and our waitress, a lovely young lady rockin locs, were both incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. I'm telling you good service makes the food even better! 3. Restaurant Look and Seating The inside of the restaurant is fairly small, but they maximized the space with multiple tables and a full service bar. They also have outdoor dining and a front waiting area with outdoor furniture, which would be perfect for a nice summer day. You don't even have to ask me because you already know the answer. YES!!! The next time I am in DC, I will specifically make time to go there. Even if I'm not staying in the immediate area, I would gladly take an Uber just to eat here again and so will my family! Make sure you get there too!
