This PLACE IS A MUST STOP !!' If you are in Branson, the FOOD is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING & service is down Home country hospitality I can't wait to come back next time I am vacationing from Chicago! 5 Stars isn't enough... They deserve 13 STARS

Love this place !! It tastes as good as it looks. The coffee is excellent too. They have a couple of locations. We always go to the original on 265. Enjoy

Billy Gail's was our first stop when we got into Branson, and it was the perfect way to kick off the trip! They're known for their stuffed French toast, candied bacon, and massive 14-inch pancakes, so naturally, we had to try all three. The 14-inch pancake was easily our favorite. I'm not sure how they manage to make a pancake THAT big and still have it come out so perfectly fluffy and delicious, but they do! Come hungry because the portions here are no joke. Definitely a fun Branson breakfast spot to add to your list.

    Biggest pancake I've ever seen

The waitress was awesome! The food was kind of hit and miss. My cousin ordered the chicken and pancake. The biggest pancake I've ever seen! My other cousin had the country breakfast and an order of grits. He said the best grits he's had. My Gail's Famous Omelette was good. I asked them for soft cooked but didn't quite get it. Hubby ordered the 1 Lb Ham breakfast which came with 2 eggs and hash browns and toast. He said the country ham was really good but everything else came out cold. Cute eclectic place. Get there early! It gets packed!

Chicken fried steak the size of a small pizza!

Food was delicious and generous portions. Our server Josh was amazing! Friendly, upbeat and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!

They are not kidding about their pancakes. I have never seen such huge portions! The place is absolutely beautiful and family friendly. I loved the decorations! The service was quick and our waiter was very kind to us and our babies. You have to check out this place while you're in town. I highly recommend the blueberry lemon pancakes

This a total country breakfast experience. Decor is rustic country, lots of license plates and signs on walls. Lots of booths and tables. Servers add to the atmosphere. Massive pancakes, well made, can taste the vanilla. Generous portions for everything. Left satisfied and with leftovers.

French toast, crispy bacon, well done but raw hash browns, bacon.

This was the very worst meal we had while on our trip. The waiter Joshua was slow to greet us and once he took our order we never heard from hom again. If you want a big pancake by all means go. The French toast was mediocre and the chicken fried steak was burnt and inedible. The decorations were cute with a 70's theme. This was a big bummer for us.

    14" pancake

Went to Billy Gail's this morning, seated very quick. Jennifer our waitress started us with coffee and water. Gave us plenty of time to look and gasp at the food sizes. We had been before but forgot how much food you received. We ordered omelets, wife thought we needed one pancake (14"), way too much food. Jennifer out our food which was very warm, nice presented on plate and set down the pancake. We ate what we could and took home wife's omelet, hash browns my biscuit (for her), and 1/2 of the pancake. Breakfast tomorrow

[July 2025] This place is a huge tourist attraction. Parking is very difficult. We ended up having to park across the street at a neighboring business' lot that wasn't open yet. I had Gail's Famous Omelet - Ham, mushrooms, cheddar jack cheese, onions and green and red peppers. The omelet was perfect in thickness and the toppings were balanced. They omelet paired well with their garlic hot sauce. I had hash browns and wheatberry toast for my sides. My brother ordered their infamous 14" pancakes. Their bacon is crispy and thick. Their coffee was good too! My mom had a BLT with fries. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we definitely will be back when we are in Branson again.

    Deluxe Hash with Tri-tip

After driving overnight from Denver for our vacation, we were starving. Luckily, Billy Gail's was open and seated us right away. Our server was so amazing! I regretfully forget her name, but I want to say it was Regina (sorry, if I'm completely off on the name). We were greeted immediately upon being seated where our server told us she would be right with us after attending to another table. Once she came back, she introduced herself and told us about the specials then asked if we would like coffee. Yes, we both definitely want coffee. She went to get coffee and allowed us to look at their extensive menu. We ordered the billion dollar bacon as our appetizer. I ordered their deluxe hash with tri-tip and the hubs ordered their chorizo burrito. The billion dollar bacon was so heavenly and I used the syrup to sweeten my coffee, which was so perfect! I can put down a lot of food, but that hash came out and it was HUGE! I ate it for about 45 min before tapping out and it looked like I took only 2 bites. That hash lasted me 3 more meals! It was so delicious and I wanted to eat more, but clearly ran out of stomach real estate. The hubs' burrito was delicious too and he only ate half of it. Had it been my meal, I would have eaten the entire thing but still would have been waddling out. The MOD came by to see how our meal was and of course, we told him it was amazing! If you love country food, you definitely need to come to Billy Gail's! The prices are amazingly low for the amount and quality of food you get. Get there early though, especially on a Sunday.

This pancake was so delicious! We loved Billy Gail's so much the first time we couldn't wait to go back. This is a fun quirky restaurant! Our server was quick and friendly.

    Is their bacon spicy?

No, it has a maple glaze on it, so it's slightly sweet.

Does this place have gluten free options? If yes, what are some of them?

    Doubtful.

Is this still cash only or do they take cards now?

They take cards. Their card machine was down part of the day Monday but I'm sure they've resolved it by now.

    Do they take reservations?

No they do not. You arrive and put your name on a list. Seems to go pretty quickly.

    Are there vegan options?

My wife has celiac disease, and they had stuff for her, but not sure about vegan options.

I thought I read someplace that you close for part of the winter. Do you still and if so what is your close?

Hi Amy, our last day open is December 21st and we reopen on March 1st. Happy Holidays!

Are they open on Mondays or Tuesdays in November?

Yes 7-2 7 days a week. This Monday not sure since it is Veterans Day but you could call Sunday and ask them

I thought these ribs here were much better than anything we tried in Kansas City. While the smoke flavor isn't as pronounced as Texas style the dry rub and layering of flavor on the ribs was superb. I was pleasantly surprised by the brisket. While it lacked the intense smoke I'm used to and deeply rich bark, it was quite tender. The ribs however were a 10/10!

I walked in and they gave me the absolute worst seat in the house in an empty restaurant. WHY? I mean right next to the kitchen. CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! The beared-fellow that was host seemed miffed that I didn't want that seat. Maybe I read the situation wrong however. I moved back to the front by a window. Better. The waitress was an elderly gal from Texas that was quite sweet. The restaurant itself is an unattractive mess. I mean, just tacky tacky tacky. Like an old Sizzler steakhouse covered with cartoon pig art. One of the most unattractive "dining" rooms I have had the displeasure of sitting in. The good news? The ribs are some of the best I've had. Caramelized burnt sugar on the tips. A great sauce. Nice pull away. Etc. Just pork perfection. The BBQ sauce on the table is superior to anything else they can bring out. Stick with that. It's an excellent sauce. So this is a tough review. I didn't try anything else, but the ribs.. and they were next level great. So of you go here and my review doesnt jive - remember I ONLY had the ribs. This is a 2 star place but I am going higher because the ribs are just so doggone outstanding. Best ribs in Branson. (Oh, and I think the name of the place is lame too.)

It was bigger, it had a huge area in the front to shop, and they were able to seat the amount of people that we had in our crowd. We only had about a 10 minute wait while the servers cleaned the tables. Once we were seated, we were immediately served our drinks. I had taste for catfish, although I know that they are widely known for their brunch and the 14-inch pancake that they serve. It was around 8pm, so I wanted dinner. I will go back and try it when I am in the area again. Back to my meal...I had three sutchi catfish fillets lightly breaded in Gary's cornmeal concoction, served with hushpuppies. Instead of the fries, I had the okra. The food was pretty good. The fish was my favorite, then the okra. I think if you are in the area, it is definitely worth trying. I will return to try the brunch.

Me and my buddy decided to visit Branson for a movie and we decided to stop in at a random place to…read moreeat. We decided on Crazy Craig's treehouse, one that looked like cozy simple affordable food. Upon walking into the establishment, we discovered that the parking lot is a tight entry with the infamous Branson hills. The exterior was appealing and cool to look at yet the interior was cramped and barely any room to sit. They did have a nice area to sit upstairs though the pool table upstairs didn't contain the ball rack and the table was incredibly dirty/unmaintained. Moving onto the service. We were told to sit anywhere and someone would come and check on us, it was several minutes before someone came to check what we wanted with little to no business going on. However they were nice so that was a nice plus. The pricing for this place is a little overpriced for the simple food menu they have. We paid 10 dollars for chips and queso and the serving size that was on the platter was barely enough to feed us both. Our main entrees were easily 15 dollars a plate and not to mention that it took quite a lot of time for everything to come out. The overall taste of the food/drinks were very disappointing. My Dr Pepper was extremely flat no matter a refill or not, the chips were stale, and the queso tasted like fake cheese (only cheese I can compare it to is lunchables). My chicken sandwich I ordered was incredibly subpar: especially since when I pay 15 dollars for a sandwich I want a patty and not two chicken tenders plastered on a bun. Especially the pepper jack cheese on my tender sandwich had absolutely no spice which made me believe it was fake cheese as well. Even the pepper from the shaker only had a hint of the taste of pepper. The worst experience in this first and last visit was the fact that the pepper sauce (hot sauce) was all expired. Our tables sauce had expired on July 2025! I checked other tables and only one of the tables had a September 2027 date the rest had May 2025. So I didn't use any condiments on my food which overall ruined my meal. The only truly good food product I had was the French fries so if you go here just order the fries from the appetizer section and seeing how they are a bar as well: drink while you're here because you will need it to get through main entrees. Overall: friendly slow service, bad food, bad soda, and tight space and parking lot. Not worth your time!

The bacon jam added such a great flavor. For my meal, I had the tenderloin sandwich with fries, and it was SO good. The tenderloin was extremely tender with a perfectly flaky, well-seasoned crust. Inside, we were handed a pager and told we may have a 20-minute wait. A very kind and pleasant young Black man readily offered up his seat to older patrons, spoke kindly, and did so at least twice. The wait was short. A kind, smiling young waitress took our initial order, and soon hot food began to arrive, even though the place was packed. A nice touch was the live solo country musician performing. I ordered fried green tomatoes, and my wife had the catfish basket. As I looked around, the helpings were large. No way I could eat all that! I noticed on Yelp that one could order the fish half size. Water and lemonade round out the entree. The fried green tomatoes were battered, flaky, and cooked well. But after eating a few, it was too oily. The catfish was done well but was too salty, as were the hush puppies. I've never drunk toilet water, but if I had, it surely would taste like the water I drank. No thanks. The water tasted bad even with the lemon. The restaurant didn't make the water. However, it desperately needs a filter--cudos to the kitchen and servers for plating and serving the food nice and hot. Now the bill. I noticed a 3.5% surcharge if you used a card. I was also shocked to find an additional charge of 1.99 because, according to the receipt, I was over 12 years old ordering a kids' meal. Wait, what! Less food, but an upcharge? Then another upcharge for substituting onion rings for fries. Now my final takeaway. I always ask myself, would I return for more? No, I would not. I try to judge the food first because there are "hole-in-the-wall" places that serve great food. Was the food seasoned? The food was, but when the salt is the main thing that stands out, it's just too salty. If so, what are you trying to hide? Last, they didn't even question whether we wanted dessert from the menu: just a smile and a goodbye from the waitress. I left a nice tip for the service and went on my way.
