I'd been meaning to check this place out as I kept seeing it as an option in the area for both breakfast and dinner. I can't speak to the breakfast part yet, but the double chili cheeseburger dinner I had was worthy of coming back for. When it comes to chili cheeseburgers I always look for the same few things. A good base burger to build upon and a unique chili with a homemade feel to it. One doesn't work without the other. The basic double cheeseburger here was great. I'm almost tempted to get a patty melt next time because I trust the baseline patty will be just as good in that. And the chili didn't taste like the generic Sysco-leaning store-bought brand. It tastes like someone had took some time making it. I could be wrong, but it added a nice original taste profile to the whole burger. The service here couldn't have been nicer. Whether from the ordering process, to dropping off the food itself, to the request for refills--everyone was so courteous and friendly. It's the type of operation that you can tell appreciates its loyal customers. I like the ambiance too. There are several tables and counter space spread over an extensive dining area. I especially liked the layout as it wasn't just the same set of booths repeated; it had a variety of table counts and booth counts next to each other. I can see how different parties relieved that there is a way to seat everyone without any awkward dividing up everyone. It was also relatively quiet and relaxing inside. Another restaurant I've driven by for over 20 years, and finally stopped in to check it out. It's your typical mid-service restaurant where you order at the counter, and they bring the food to you. They have a good selection of burgers/sandwiches, Mexican, and breakfast items. It wasn't very busy when we arrived, so there was zero wait. I was so surprised by this place... Was definitely just expecting your standard charbroiled hamburger place, and to be honest I really just went for their fried zucchini. I love a good order of fried zucchini, and that is hard to find. I feel like they are either huge pieces that are hard because they're not cooked enough or they're a greasy mess... this place was neither. Perfectly cooked, crispy and delicious with amazing ranch to dip them in. The order was also huge and literally half the price of similar places. We also took the leftovers home and ate them the next day. They crisp up perfectly in the toaster oven and were just as good as the day before. I also got the crispy chicken salad... not only was the chicken amazing (if you are a chicken tenders lover, definitely try this place) but the salad as a whole was great. It was fresh, the lettuce was super cold and crisp and all of the ingredients were fresh and they chopped them all up and mixed in the perfect amount of dressing. I'm not kidding you when I say this was a fantastic salad! There are not many places you can get a good salad at a reasonable price especially a place that has a drive-through. My mother ordered the pastrami sandwich and it was so big she brought half of it home and ate it for dinner the following night. I took a little taste of it and I agree, their pastrami was delicious as well. The service was super quick and the staff was so attentive, kind and helpful. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE. The money they spent on remodeling this place they should've instead spent on either training their staff or hiring better people. First off they got my order completely wrong I ordered a sandwich with no tomatoes no turkey. They gave it to me with both tomato and turkey. Next I asked TWO different waiters for ranch. I never got it. I had to go stand up and ask the kitchen people for it. Then I asked for chiles toriados AGAIN never got them. They ended up taking it off my bill. The last thing was my daughter having to use their restroom. There's only one single bathroom for women with one single stall. There's only was a line of 4 people waiting. We waited 30 minutes with no one leaving the restroom finally people started just leaving the line since no one was walking out when finally the worker walked out. The whole time it was a worker in the restroom for 39 minutes like wtf???? That was a whole lunch break in that restroom. Anyways. Never coming back here again read more

We ordered the carne asada nachos, carne asada plate, carne asada burrito, and bacon burrito. We asked for the carne asada to be cooked well done and crispy, but it wasn't. To avoid making a big deal, we only requested the carne asada from the plate to be cooked more, since the nachos and burrito were already a lost cause. When they brought it back, it looked exactly the same. The carne asada was bland, and both the salsa and beans tasted like they came straight from a can. Nothing about the food stood out. I used to come here with my coworkers before the remodel, and they swore by this place. Maybe there's a new owner now. Either way, I won't be coming back. The chili has good chunks of meat in it and the fries have a gentle crunch to them, not soggy or super crispy. They're perfect in my opinion. They also have Tapatío and those banana peppers if you want to add some spice. I saw a sign saying they've been open since '92 and I can see why. Definitely will be coming back!
