I absolutely love going to the Old 27 Grill! It was one of the first restaurants we discovered after buying a house in Austin Brook Subdivision. The music really is great. We always take our family and friends who come to visit us from our previous hometown in Ridgeland, MS here to eat and enjoy the atmosphere and the food. We take our grands here and they love it!!! The food, drinks and service is out of this world!! read more

$40.00 for a shrimp sandwich and a hot dog.. We ordered our food. The server came back about 5 mins later and told us they were out of rid eye.. We ordered the side salad for $2.00 with our steak. Since they were out of steak they should have taken the salad off but they sent it to our table and charged us $8.00 for them. Since they were out of rib eye the ticket was trashed along with the rest of the order, except the salad. We then ordered the shrimp sandwich and a hot dog. To the tune of $40.00. The other guests with us had to wait on their food since the order was thrown away. Oh.. $3.50 for a root beer.. It was good but not worth the price. We had visited here before while on vacation but never again! read more

GREAT ATMOSPHERE!! Such a cool place to grab a delicious meal, with an awesome beer selection! We vacationed in Fairhope, and it rained two of the days we were there, but once we found Old 27 Grill nothing was able to ruin our time! The bartenders are extremely friendly, and were very accommodating to which games we wanted to watch on the TVs in the bar. Would recommend this place to anyone! read more

BILL-E's - Burgers Near Me - Fairhope, Alabama

These burgers are nothing short of amazing. Completely blown away. The blended burger was by far the best burger I've had in along time, if not ever. read more

The variety of burgers alone is enough for 5 stars but the quality was too. Service was excellent as usual. Love this place

Excellent food and atmosphere. Great service! Make sure you get anything with bacon! read more

Love the new menu! I was fortunate to meet the wonderful owner who was so gracious and sat with us for a moment to tell us all about his restaurant and the unique process they use in creating their soon-to-be world famous Bill-E's Bacon. We tried the new sampler appetizer and it was fantastic. The burgers are the not-so hidden gem here in my opinion. My family loved the unique setting and vibe and the live music added to the overall ambience. Definitely worth checking out. Our server was attentive and all our meals were correct the first time - help can be challenging as we all know but no problems this visit. I look forward to returning the next time I'm in the area. Definitely worth the trip IMHO! read more

This place has gone down hill. Our order was wrong and it took way to long. Plus over priced for the food you get.

Great atmosphere and one of the best burger and beer experiences around. BILL-E's is not only famous for their small batch bacon, but their food as well. Really nice Craft Draught beer selections, and surprisingly good wines as well. We like to come here for lunch or dinner and listen to the song writers. read more

The Yelp site popped up a closed sign for Bill E's but it had just been recommended to us so we checked it out. Open, doing a good business and we had a great bacon cheeseburger. read more

On March 14th, 2014, a group of five friends and I decided to go to the Old 27 Grill in Fairhope. On first glance, the place seemed pretty fun. It was full of people and the food smelled pretty great. We went in to see if we could get a table for all of us, but we were told that we'd have to wait a bit since there was a live band playing and people tended to stick around to listen. We decided to grab seats at the bar and order drinks while we waited. The first thing I noticed after sitting at the bar was the horrible smell of bad bar. It smelled of nothing but old beer. After about ten minutes, we saw a large group getting up, so we flagged a waitress and were told we could sit at their table. We sat and then we waited... and waited... and waited. After about 25 minutes of waiting, a waitress came up to us and asked "Have you been welcomed?" We said no and she walked to the kitchen. In ten minutes, she never returned. We ended up just leaving. It's a shame that this place seems to be plagued with such poor service as it seems like a great place to grab a burger and beer. I won't be giving it a second try. read more

We had 3 steaks priced at $19.99,when I got the bill before I was taxed I was charged $61???? How does that even add up!!! I have eaten all over the USA and after eating here i would rather cook at home and save my money My steak was poorly seasoned Ihad to add my own salt and pepper,I do not use steak sauce ever, here was the first time I can remember having to use it to add flavor. This is not a place I would recommend,I travel to this area often and here I was very disappointed.... read more

Crab stuffed jalapeño poppers are awesome! We tried the "Holy Cow" burger, and "comeback chicken sandwich", both were good choices! Can't wait to become a regular!! Service was great too read more

First time visiting the Fairhope area. Glad someone told me about this place. I went classic and had a burger with their local brew to drink and could not have had a better time. Definitely will be back next time I am in the area. read more

I love the live music! Great burgers and handcut fries. The Holy Cow Burger is one of the best burgers I've had in Alabama.

On our first visit to the Old 27 Grill back in March, we thought the food was good -- we really liked their burgers and onion rings -- but the service was not. On our second visit last weekend we were pleased to note that the service was excellent. They had live music that evening and the place was packed, but the servers seemed to have no problem keeping up and the food was as good as we remembered from our first time there. We would definitely recommend it as a great place to kick back and enjoy live music (Thurs., Fri .and Sat.) as well as for the food and drinks. To really enjoy the music, try to snag a table outside on the porch or sit at the picnic tables in front of the stage. read more

I visited this place for the second time in about a month. Service was not good the first time. Worst the second time. Walked in about 8:25pm and sat at a table. Waited for about 10 minutes and no one came to my table. There were only 2 other tables with customers. Never saw a server. Got up and left. I gave it 2 stars because the food was good the first time I was there. Never got waited on to try it again. I don't think I will be back. Also a couple of kids hanging around. Maybe the wait staffs??? read more

Balance between fun, live music, and indecent food. Burger was old, dried, and flavorless. Quiche was burnt. Next time we'll stick to the music and beer and eat before we go. read more

Nice environment, quick service and good food! My husband had the burger and I had come back chick sandwich both were good.

Very disappointed. My husband and I have been here twice. Both times were disappointing. Service was S L O W. We sat at the bar and had to ask the bartender to take our order. We felt like we were invisible! First time we ordered potato skins, VERY GREASY and I ordered a Bloody Mary, It was "chunky", not appealing at all. I don't want to eat my drink. I had a Hamburger at a golf tournament that 27 Grill catered, it was cold and RAW in the middle. We will never go back. read more

Love everything about it. Give it a try if you find yourself in Fairhope.

We've eaten here several times and we always get the same thing! I get one of the salads with chicken and my fiancé gets the Comeback Chicken Sandwich. It is consistently good and we feel the prices are fair. We've never had charred chicken or bad service! read more

The burgers and food is nice but you guys should adjust the timing for your Blended burgers!! This is the third one that has come out rare after two previous failed attempts. We love you guys and your restaurant but please, fix the timing you cook some of the burgers with so that way you don't have customers coming there a bunch of times leaving with the same thing they complained about. It's disappointing expecting it to be better and it come out the same as before. Seems like it was tossed back to heat up then tossed back on the same bun. read more

Found this place completely on accident (was looking for another spot); glad I did; cool atmosphere, reasonably priced, great food. Shrimp/bacon/Swiss cheese sandwich? Never would have tried that, but really great flavors! I'll definitely be back! read more

Food is great but make sure you keep ALL your receipts. Our waitress ran our card for another table and "voided" the transaction without ever mentioning it to us. Luckily I checked our bank account. It's been a week and have spoke with 2 different managers and still waiting to get my money back. The food is good, but clearly their customer service is lacking. read more

Gah! Old 27, for me, is like a blind date that was amazing but it should have ended there. Instead, I kept holding on to the crap in hopes I would have another awesome experience like the first time. I think I'm finally calling it quits. Our first trip here was in February. Sabrina was our server and she was fantastic as well as the food. What a cool atmosphere! So many old, vintage, farmhouse decorations with games to play. We couldn't wait to bring all of our friends and out of town family to this hidden gem. It was my first time having anything pimento. (I'm from the north)My grilled pimento sandwich was so delicious. A week later, hubs and I took our friends who had never been. I was sure to let everyone know to look up the menu online so we could order as soon as we got there as I was having pimento withdraws.... When our server brought our meals he didn't have mine, I assumed he ran back to get it because he didn't ask us if we needed anything. 10 minutes later he came back (smelling of cigarettes) and asked us how we were doing. I told him I never got my meal (that I was craving !) his response "what did you order?" After watching everyone complete their meals I received mine. My girlfriend hung out with me while our guys played corn hole. Our server apologized and asked us if we had tried a new type of vodka. Thinking he was going to give us a courtesy drink we acted interested. He went us to tell us he did a few shots before his shift and he can't wait to share the rest with his date that he met on Tinder.... Last week my mother in law was in town. Apparently, we made a big deal of this place back in February and she wanted to try it. On this night, there were two very talented 16 year old ladies playing the guitar and singing for everyone. Thank God for this nice entertainment because service was really slow. We had to ask random servers to take our drink order, meal order and for refills. Hubbs and his mom loved their fish sammies but my grilled pimento cheese was a bit soggy and cold. Yesterday, our friends wanted to try Old 27. I was sure to tell everyone to make time for this place as service is slow but the food is worth it. I was correct about the first part. 3 of us got my favorite. It was a joke! They put the butter on the bread and totally forgot to grill it. It was COLD. We all asked our server if she could simply throw it in the microwave. She was gone for about 10 minutes and another girl brought back our plates. Sandwiches were still cold and now the fries were cold. No one came to check on us so I went up to the kitchen window with my plate and asked the line cooks (all of which had long hair, pulled back, but no hair nets) if they could throw my plate in the microwave. One of the servers asked me if everything was okay and I told her all of our "grilled" sandwiches were still cold. She apologized and removed them from our bill. Still, no one checked on us. We tip at least 20% and enjoy beer with our meals. This place could have made so much more money off of us but we're DONE. read more

My husband and I have been enjoying Old 27 since the day it opened and I still can't get enough of their yummy creations! My personal favorite is the Holy Cow Burger, this burger is BEYOND AMAZING! The "Holy Cow!" Burger is served with caramelized red onions, grilled tomato, Swiss Cheese and smothered in a peppercorn cream sauce that is to die for... I always nix the bun and get a fried egg on top and all this yumminess is surrounded by hand cut French Fries! I love the atmosphere and staff at Old 27, they really make you feel at home! read more

I wanted to write an update to my first review, and let people know that the owner of the restaurant saw my review, and called me personally to apologize for our experience. In my book, that tells me he really cares about customer satisfaction. We will go back again, as we had planned to anyway, because the food is THAT good. We may even ask for the same server we had the first time, because anyone can have an off day, and she deserves a second chance. read more

First and last experience. The burgers were greasy, burnt from being cooked too hot, and burnt bacon doesn't leave the best taste in your pallet, either. The one positive is the sweet tea was surprisingly good. read more

Crab stuffed poppers, old 27 draft beer, a band, plenty of outdoor seating, and a delicious shrimp sandwich... What could be better!?

Hole in the wall/divey atmosphere but the food and beer is great. Good place to have a cold beer and watch a game. Not sure how it would be in the elements because most of the place is uncovered. Would definitely come back here for a cold beer. read more

Solid food, confusing layout, interesting spot. Overall a decent experience and a good burger.

I don't enjoy the food here. My family went once, had a bad experience, and then went again to give them another chance. The "service" was atrocious and the food tasted like it went from Freezer to Fryer to Table. I also had their catering at a wedding and unsurprisingly it wasn't good and lady in charge of setting it up/serving was rude also. We sometimes wonder how they stay in business, and I think it must be because of the paucity of other options in the area. read more

Bullet Burgers - add chili, pickle relish, cheese, onions and bacon. Yea, I know its like a hot dog hamburger, but it is one of the best burgers in Fairhope. The family loves this place. One weird thing on the menu that is really good are the Green Beans. Yes, green beans are one of the best things on the menu. They cook them in white wine and are kinda addicting. read more

It's average food at a gourmet price. The atmosphere is nice, and the decor sets a cool vibe. I find the prices to be a little too high for the food, but that's about the only down side. The service was stellar and he staff very friendly. Food: 3/5 Price: 2/5 Atmosphere: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Overall: 2.9/5 read more

Great location. Great food. Staff is nice.. But slow... I mean c'mon girls... Less talky and more worky.. But I love it here.. Outside seating and music is great. read more

Tons of atmosphere, offers a limited menu but filled with great food. Their Tomato Gouda soup is so good that you'll want extra to take home. All of their soups are made from scratch and served the next day. Consistently my favorite thing on the menu. But you can't go wrong with their burgers either. I like my burgers rare, but they leave them a little too rare. Keep that in mind when ordering. I'm not really a fan of a hot dog, but they serve impressive gourmet hot dogs. My daughter and her friends rave about them. I highly recommend trying Old 27 Grill. read more

I love the vibe here. The food is good and the crowd is normal. Service can be hit or miss but we just go now not expecting to be in a hurry. Happy to have this place in my neighborhood!!! read more

Really wanted better out of this place...the food was good for the most part, but our service was lousy and slow. It was a Monday night and not busy. The waitress did not know basic terms like draft, tap and bottle....asked what was on tap (several times) and were surprised with bottled beer. As for the food, the mushroom burgers were really good and so were the fries...but when there's an upcharge for fries, please put a sufficient amount on the plate (very inconsistent from meal to meal, some had a normal serving, others really small). My son ordered an Old 27 Burger and said it wasn't very good. He also ordered chili on the side and it came cold and no silverware was provided...because our service was so inconsistent, we had to go seek some out. The food, while good for the most part, was overpriced for what we received. I doubt we'll give it another try. Edited to add: Due to the way the owner responded (thumbs up for that), I'm willing to give the Old 27 Grill another try sometime. When I do, I'll update my review. read more

Excellent food and atmosphere. We sat outside and had a great server. The bacon was excellent and margarita was delicious. We had a large burger and onion rings as well as the chips and cheese. Will definitely come back. read more
