Definitely one of my favorite veggie burgers around Baldwin County! Always receive great service and incredible food.

the only reason i'm giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because they need WAY more inside seating. If they had more inside seating this place would be my go-to weekly!! Super strong drinks and great food (WIN WIN)!! read more

We're sold! The place we planned to eat was closed, so we decided to give Old 27 Grill a try. We had heard good things about it, but it far exceeded our expectations. We started with fried green tomatoes. They were smaller slices but they gave us a basket full. My husband debated between the beer brat and the Conecuh dog. He settled on the brat with mustard, relish and sauerkraut, with onion rings on the side. He said it was great. I quickly decided on a burger, as I've been on a stupid diet and craving a real burger for days. I added blue cheese, bacon and threw a couple of those fried green tomatoes on it. They weren't stingy with the blue cheese and they make their own bacon. The bacon slices are wide and smoked to perfection. I had hand cut fries on the side. Even though the food was sick good (by sick good I mean I'll eat it until I'm sick because it's too good to stop eating), we still managed to find room for dessert. We decided on the sweet potato pies. Those are small fried pies with whipped cream for dipping and they are delicious! Those pies are definitely a can't miss item there. We had all of that food for only $36. The service was great too! In fact, the owner even came around to all the tables to introduce himself and see if we were enjoying everything. Brownie points for that. By the way, brownies are another dessert option. The atmosphere can't be beat. There was indoor dining, outdoor dining on picnic tables under the big ole trees, and a cool looking little bar area. They have live music sometimes too. The parking lot seemed full when we pulled in but there was plenty of seating. Don't let a full parking lot scare you off. I'm not sure why we waited so long to try this place, but we will definitely not wait that long to go back. It was a dining experience we were actually excited about. Did I mention Bill E. makes his own bacon here? We loved everything about Old 27 Grill! read more

5 stars for atmosphere, 4 stars for food, and 3 stars for service. The food would have gotten 5 stars but a place that takes the time to make the potato chips on site should not use canned chilli. The chilli only gets 1 star. It was that bad. My 27 burger was great. The sweet potato fried pies are amazing! The saving grace of the whole meal. I'll go back for the fried pies alone. We sat outside and it was so much fun. Being that it's picnic tables it feels like a fun family reunion. All the patio s are friendly. The band playing was pretty good and allowed for a fun atmosphere. Now I only gave the service 3 stars but the waitress was as sweet as she could be. And she came around in a timely manner but there were just a few oops with our order that keeps me from giving her a higher score. I'm sure it was just an off day or possibly she was new. I'd allow her to wait on us again since she did suggest the fried pies. Did I mention how good the fried pies were? read more

service was bad,no napkins,no salt or pepper on the table, had to ask for everything we needed. Burger came Raw and had to be recooked. The Burger had no flavor ,and By the time I got it I decided to take it home because everyone was done eating. I ordered it Medium well and didn't get that. Not going back. read more

Very disappointed tonight! My husband got his food. My food was ice cold so I sent it back. My Mom never got her's. The waitress didn't come back to refill drinks so I asked another young teen. I did get that. Manager Never came to the table. Finally asked the server what's up. The real manager is in the hospital so they have a teenager managing. The Cook's were arguing with staff. I've been here before and it was decent. What happened? We were there almost 2 hours. Finally had to ask for my check. Very very disappointed. read more

Bad. 1st Server asked simultaneously if I could pay while sitting 1/2 the order down (wrong) because her ride was otw.. 3 times they made food- wrong each time.. also, there was a rock fight between two of the servers kids.. I will say she addressed that when it was brought to her attention but how could a rock fight be something that occurs in a restaurant.. it was a fist size rock.. my mouth dropped.. if the kid hit the other kid he'd have been hurt.. it dented the wall.. to date the most outrageous thing I think I've ever seen at dinner.. the manager said earlier in the day the 1st server we had dumped a bowl of gumbo on a toddler and she had to buy a shirt.. what happened to the kid??? "Wild Bills" would be both accurate and catchy.. change the name again.. read more

It was our first time here and we will def be back. Our visit was pleasant and relaxing. They're Sunday Brunch is esp nice with their delicious mimosas. We tried the pimento cheese and house made chips appetizer. It was very good. The chips are extra crispy and just the right size for dipping without making a mess. SO got the Bill-E's Blended burger. The patty was juicy and tender with a perfectly cooked egg on top. I tried the Bill-E's Bacon Cheeseburger. It was cooked to order with a generous topping of cheese and the house-made bacon. What made our visit here extra special was our waitress, Jessica. She was the perfect blend of personable and professional. She took great care of us while we were there. We enjoyed our visit to Bill-E's and the choice to sit inside or out was a tough one. The place seems bigger than it really is, because of it's layout. read more

Wife and I went to Old27 for our 10 year anniversary (moved here the day before). We had the crab stuffed jalapeño poppers, smoked tuna dip and the shrimp tacos. Poppers took a little longer than the smoked tuna, but that wasn't an issue. Wife and I really enjoyed the shrimp tacos. Shrimp is grilled and the fish is fried so we chose shrimp. Also, happy half off Miller Lites ($2) is pretty legit. Service was above average as well. We will be returning! read more

Saw this place driving into Fairhope and thought I'll try it before I left and thank goodness I did! Awesome place for downright killer grub. The Holy Cow burger is awesome and the peppercorn sauce is tasty! You can really taste the meat and although I tend to like soggy fries, these were definitely on the top of my fry list and the drowning in peppercorn sauce made everything even better! The staff is as friendly as they can get and don't worry, portions are big as you can tell! Parking can get a little tight when they are busy. read more

Cool place good live music. Empty of people, it took 30 minutes to get 2 slices of bacon. The burgers were another 15 (total of 45 minutes) Ordered medium and they were both hard and gray completely through. The fries tasted fine but were served at room temperature. The pork belly was excellent though. Overall not worth the wait. Will not be back for the food. read more

First time visiting this location. After being sat by the hostess at an inside table (with 2 more tables that had already ordered) for 15 minutes or more having multiple employees passing and not one acknowledged we were there, I called the restaurant from our table to place a to-go order and was told it was extremely busy and would be a long wait for the order. I explained we had already been sitting at a table inside for about 15 minutes and no one had spoken to us yet so figured it would be easier to place the order to go. She remembered seating us and said she would be right there to get our order but no one ever showed up so we finally just left. Hoping this is not how service is every time. read more

The service was terrible. The food took almost an hour to get and the place wasn't even close to being packed. We asked to have our appetizers brought out before our entrees, which should be obvious and they still brought out the appetizers with the entrees. Once we got our food it wasn't even hot. read more

We decided to try this place after hearing good things from the locals. We ordered the fries with cheese and gravy as an appetizer and they were delicious. We got the burger bullets with bacon ((best bacon EVER)) we also ordered the brownie and strawberry cobbler DELICIOUS! I will definitely be returning read more

Great dive find. Good burgers, live music, patio recently expanded for much more seating. Service was appropriately attentive and food came quickly. The bullet burger (2) was the perfect portion so I didn't leave feeling overly full. The kids portions were generous. The homemade chips were yummy. The fries are handcut. The downside, their fish isn't local??? Hello we are in Fairhope by the shore. read more

BILL-E's - Patio area, potions are covered - Burgers Near Me - Fairhope, Alabama

I had the crab stuffed peppers for a appetizer and the Holy Cow with onion rings. This burger is the only burger i've eaten with a fork and will be back! The side orders could be larger and overall I will be back. They have an extensive menu including brat's and hot dogs! The service is good and back yard feel is excellent. Its like a restaurant in the detached garage. Check it out! read more

Thank you for the excellent turkey I picked up from you for the holiday. I did brine it before delivery to you. It was ready when promised and one of the best-tasting birds I have had in quite some time. It was a huge hit and I will see you for Christmas. read more

Had the holy cow burger. Realized afterwards it was a ripoff. Same size as the other burgers, but cost $4-$5 extra. The difference? It comes on a plate and it has some sauce. Seriously that's it. $4 for some sauce. That was even confirmed by the waitress. Burger was good, but the scam left a bad taste. Soggy fries. No reason to go back for the food. Decent beer selection and the staff was nice. read more

Horrible! They give you a menu that has items they no longer have. Service was horrible. Burger was missing the sauce it was supposed to have. When we inquired we were told "yea, they forget it sometimes and I don't like to dig in the food to see if it's in there". Drove in to town today after an 8 hour drive from Augusta, Ga. and this was my first stop because it's always been very very good. Not this time and now that the chick arrones are no longer available I'm pretty sure this will be my last visit here. read more

Wonderful food and even better atmosphere! Who doesn't like bacon? It's literally on everything here and even better, they make it in house! The bloody Mary's are my favorite! read more

I've been a few times. Atmosphere is amazing. Food is basic. Burgers did not taste fresh. Entire crew seemed unfriendly and untrained. Great location with huge potential. read more

This is my third time at Bill-E's, not sure why I went a third time, but each time the dishes are disgusting, the utensils are disgusting and food took an hour with three other tables in the entire place. Disgusting and never again. read more

Laid back atmosphere, reasonable prices, good burgers and their side of bacon was really good. We did ask them to light their fire pit as soon as we arrived so we could enjoy the fire, they kept saying they'd get right to it, finally got to it as we were finishing our dinner and about to leave. Other than that we enjoyed it, we will go back again. read more

Friendly greeter, very nice and outgoing waitress. Our order was taken quickly and our food arrived shortly thereafter. Hamburger was very good. Hubby ordered BLT, said it was delicious. Only issue we had was with the french fries, which cost 1.50 extra. Sad little things, undercooked and limpy. Should have gotten the potato chips. Much better. Better fries would have garnered a 5 . read more

This is a very unique find!!! Driving there, I didn't know if I was coming to someone's home fir dinner since it's sort of in a neighborhood in the highway. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The child was really good! Fries are freshly cut and the coleslaw was not good typical recipe; it had kale! The burgers are really good. Although the courtyard was filled with annoying gnats, it still was a memorable experience. Definitely visit! read more

Always love going to Bill-Es for lunch and my favorite football spot. I can't say enough about how delicious any of his meats are, specifically the bacon and his pork belly. The owners have mastered the art of slow cooking meat for sure. Great atmosphere and great beer selection for college football Saturdays, and now I can bring my dog to their special dog patio where she eats too! read more

Really wasn't impressed, which is unfortunate because I've heard good things. Our waitress was super friendly, but upon our arrival we were sort of confused as to where to sit or if we were to seat ourselves, etc. The host wasn't very welcoming. Ordered a burger and a chicken sandwich. The burger was great. The fries were terrible. Super, super soggy and literally sat in a puddle of grease on the plate. Seemed like they were fried more than once or maybe in old grease? Chicken sandwich wasn't good and didn't come out as I had ordered. The chicken was completely tasteless, topped with undercooked bacon and cheese. I got the green beans as a side (for an up-charge) which were served cold. Atmosphere and waitress was nice, but that is sadly the only good things I'd have to say. $45 for a couple sandwiches at lunch just doesn't seem worth it for the quality that was provided. read more

Fun evening. Anyone who goes there and doesn't get caught up in the wacky charm of the place, must be a stick-in-the-mud. We had boiled peanuts, pimento cheese with bacon for appetizers. Husband had the award winning pork belly sandwich and loved it. I had the shrimp sandwich but wished I'd had his. Mine didn't quite have enough flavor. The hit of the evening was my Bloody Mary which was virgin but delicious. Bartender had crushed dill pickle within the mix and every sip delicious. Can't wait to try it at home. I have pictures but can't get them to go. Sorry. read more

I arrived at 3 PM on a Sunday afternoon. I sat down beside my friend at the bar, who had already ordered. The bartender told me it would be just a minute. 20 minutes later, my friend asked the manager to get me a drink and a menu. He made the drink while I looked at the menu. 15 minutes after I was ready to order, the bartender grabbed the menu in front of me and put it up. She never asked me what I wanted to eat. It was at that point, I asked for the ticket and left to eat at another establishment. I'm local and have never had such terrible service while sitting at the bar. read more

The food is good but not outstanding, the fries have improved tremendously. Burger is the highlight to me, the "27" fixins are a great feature. The steaks and shrimp and Grits are "meh". I'm really annoyed about the service on call in orders. I don't want to stand next to garbage and dirty plates to get my food. Absolutely no greeting at the door, and then have to "find someone" to get waited on. read more

I got a burger. Literally the simplest thing on the menu. They forgot my cheese and when I asked for cheese they brought my shredded cheese. The burger was so greasy the bun was soggy. The tomato on the burger was white. My fries were so greasy and underdone that they were soggy. The manager gave me $3 off, I'm assuming 10%. Won't be back. read more

This place has gone WAY downhill. We went on a Sunday afternoon. They weren't very busy...but we waited over 15 mins for anyone to acknowledge us. Finally we got someone to take drink orders...another 10 mins later we got our water/tea. Then he said "I'll be back in 2 mins to take your order..." Nearly 10 mins later he came and took the order. Didn't write anything down and even though I corrected him twice on the order, he brought one of us (me) the wrong thing. Left the wrong item there anyway saying we wouldn't have to pay for it. The item was not eaten, as it wasn't what I wanted anyway. When I FINALLY got what I ordered, everyone else was finished eating. The bill comes, and BOTH the wrong item and my VERY late item were on the bill. I understand it is hard to get help right now...but using staff like this is going to kill your business. We won't be back. read more

What a gem! The food is outstanding! OUTSTANDING! The service is great! And don't forget to add Bill E's bacon on whatever you order. Guaranteed to make you happy! read more

Worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. Started with the server taking our drink order, my husband ordered a Bloody Mary, I ordered a Pepsi. Waited forever and the bartender is the one who brought the Bloody Mary, no Pepsi. Server came back to take our food order in which we ordered an appetizer and our food. I asked for my Pepsi also. She finally brought my drink but no appetizer. Finally our food arrived, before the appetizer. I'm not sure who brought our food but we asked her to bring our appetizer (boiled peanuts). She brought them however they were spicy, we ordered regular. All in all, every little thing took forever, there were tables who arrived after us but received food before us. Mind you, there was about 5 total tables while we dined. Not busy at all! Will not return. Food was mediocre at best. Would've left a Facebook review but reviews have been disabled, hmmmm?? read more

This was one the worst experiences at a burger place I've ever had. A couple of friends ordered Waitr from here Friday night. We ordered 3 burgers, all ordered medium well. The burgers arrive and there is like one limp old piece of lettuce on the burgers and half a pickle. That's it, no sauce, tomato, onions or anything. The burgers were all raw. Like maybe cooked a minute per side. Dark pink. I've tried to redeem this place over the last couple of years because it's local, but no more. read more

Ate at Ole 27 Grill for the first time today with my family and it was awesome! The burgers were amazing and you have to try their homemade pimento cheese! And, oh the bacon! Made right there and it's the best I've ever had! Definitely a must try! Glad we did! read more

My wife and I decided to take a little road trip for this dive that we have heard good things about. It was a rainy night, so the crowd was sparse. Most of the seating is outdoors or on a patio thus not covered from the elements. We sat at the bar and what wonderful service we had from the bartender. The conversation was good and she was very helpful with the menu. We had the tuna dip with the house made chips as a starter and it was really good. The chips were a great touch. We both are burger lovers so we went with the black and blue burger and it was awesome. I had the onion rings and she had the fries. The onion rings were a 8 and the fries were a 10. This is a good "dive" option in this area. Really good quality. read more
