Had a great meal tonight. Dixie Chic wrap and a Blended Burger. Both were very good. Our waitress, Ansley D. was great, as well. She had good knowledge of the menu and good recommendations. We will be back soon. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER. We went with a party of about 10 people and they were in sheer panic of our group being "too big." We asked if our group was too big and they said "it's fine we will serve you," so we proceeded to order just to have the server come back and say oh I thought y'all left I haven't put your order in yet, THIS WAS AFTER AN HOUR! Keep in mind, we hadn't even gotten our drinks yet! Literally ridiculous. So if you are a group of I'd say anywhere over 2-3 DO NOT GO HERE. read more

The wings (red hot) are sooooo good!!!!! Grilled fish sandwich was delicious too!!! We will be back!!!!

SERVICE is really TERRIBLE. 1. they forgot to put the 5 sauces we requested in our order. 2. charged me for 3 drinks but forgot to include them. Of course, we found out of missing items when we already arrived at the hotel, 15 min away, and driving back in the rain wasn´t an option. 3. only 1 of 8 workers I saw wore a mask, no requirement for customers to wear them, and there wasn't a manager around to point it out. This is the worst for customer satisfaction. Food is mainly fried and just so-so in taste, probably the sauce they forgot to give us could mask the food. A very expensive place for low-quality food and extremely bad service. Don´t waist your time and money in this place. read more

Bill-Es is a quaint little spot to have a casual meal and:or drinks. I am traveling the country right now searching for unique and tasty sandwiches. The pork belly sandwich was to die for! The salty pork belly was amazing, the perfect fat to meat ratio and cooked perfectly sits in a house made bed of coleslaw to add a little sweetness. So good. We had the two pieces of bacon as an appetizer (which lead to a purchase of a pound of bacon to take with me) a cup of gumbo that was really good and my husband had a chili dog. The hotdog was fried and different than "normal" hotdogs but very good. That and the drinks made it a perfect meal. I regret not trying the fried pies, or the chocolate pork belly bites. Next time! read more

I went by tonight while visiting home from Boston. I ordered a bunch of apps for my family to enjoy. They were extra understaffed tonight and the crew that remained was so helpful. My friends and I enjoyed a round of corn hole while waiting for our food. It was hot and DELICIOUS. Well worth the wait. We had barbecue and sweet Asian wings as well as tenders and an amazing smoked tuna dip. Treat your tastebuds and meet some really nice people. read more

A friend suggested we come here for a burger. What a great suggestion. Service was excellent. A very eclectic atmosphere, two different rooms, an open courtyard and the bar. My husband had the chicken sandwich, our friend had the infamous "Holy Cow Burger", and I had the mushroom Swiss burger. Nice thick juicy burgers, cooked to perfection on a great bun. Not your typical hamburger bun. They both had the fries, I had the onion rings. Both were excellent. A good selection of beers on tap and decent affordable drinks. What a great find! We are in the area for two weeks, and I am sure we will be back. read more

We went to Bill-E's on a Wednesday night for dinner and trivia. Trivia was fun, but the service and food left a lot to be desired. It took a long time before a waitress appeared to take our drink order, and she served two groups who had arrived after us, even bringing their drink orders before moving to us. The whole evening was characterized by slow service and numerous errors. The kichen prepared my husband's order that included ice cream at least 15 minutes before my order was ready. He was finished with his food before mine even arrived. I ordered the BLT with fries. The picture on the website of what appears to be a BLT is of a nicely assembled triple decker that looks quite appetizing and worth $13. The sandwich I actually got was haphazardly slung together and not a triple decker, and came with chips. The BLT was composed of two pieces of terrible cheap and dry white bread (supposedly Texas toast), one single slice of tomato(!), lettuce that appeared to be grabbed from the salad bowl, overcooked bacon unevenly dropped in the sandwich, and sauce that was gooped in the center of the bread, not spread on the bread properly. The waitress's response to my feedback about the poor quality of the sandwich was that the kitchen was busy. That does not fly as a reason - it wasn't that busy - there were plenty of empty tables, and does not explain the poor quality of ingredients and lack of attention to dish composition. The bacon is not good enough to coast by solely on its reputation, plus it was overcooked. A BLT is a simple dish, one where the quality of the ingredients is key. Frankly, the BLT at Waffle House is better than this one was and is only $5 or so. We've tried Bill-E's on three different occasions, and the food isn't good enough to overcome the disheveled atmosphere, uncomfortable seating and lackluster service. It's not bad, it's not good, it's just okay. Not worth the drive. We'll find somewhere else to play trivia. read more

I LOVE Old 27 Grill! My husband and I stopped by when he was working in the area a few months back and I still dream about that meal. I got two bullet burgers with extra cheese and tomato with fried pineapple. YALL. That is what a burger is supposed to taste like. I also got a vanilla milkshake for the ride home and it was made from the same stuff rainbows are. Thick and creamy with a homemade taste. The decor is adorable. Comfortable. Down home. We love sitting in the bar area where we can look out of the old windows. This is a MUST stop by place. I can't wait to go back. read more

BILL-E's - Old 27 Grill. Best burgers! - Burgers Near Me - Fairhope, Alabama

Not very good lots of stuff was forgotten on my chicken sandwich and for the price it definitely should have looked/tasted better...I was hoping that I would be able to have a good first time experience here trying the food but the food was just thrown together in a box looked liked cafeteria food for 12-14$ sigh oh well read more

Bacon is da bomb! Great service in a unique and awesome environment. Food was well priced.

Nobody even came to take our drink order. Place was hot, dirty and full of bugs. We couldn't leave fast enough. Not a place to go with your family or if you are thirsty and hungry. You will starve. read more

Food and atmosphere are very good. Service is lacking if you aren't a regular. Had a burger which was cooked well and flavorful.

So disappointed. This place used to be a local favorite of ours, and nowadays, it's mediocre at best. It's only teenagers working, which doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, but it's kids that have little to no work ethic. We've ordered twice within a few months and will probably never do it again. Both times, they received our order but never fixed it. Tonight, they said they received the order but they closed and that was that. I had to basically talk them into getting our order since it was put in before closing. Then the salad literally is what's pictured. EXTREMELY disappointed. read more

I wanted this to be an awesome experience. Unfortunately it was not. The young man who seated us (who subsequently became our waiter) asked what we wanted to drink. We just told him two waters. Only after I flagged down the other guy for some water (35 minutes later) did we get anything to drink. Appetizer came out fairly quickly and was good. No silverware or napkins (after asking a couple times, until I got up and got napkins from the bar). After about an hour our entrees came out. Our food was not hot (by the time we ordered there were only a hand full of tables), fries are not "rough-cut" (they are obviously bagged frozen French fries) and they were cold. My sandwich was not as described on the menu, So he took it to get a new one. The second sandwich came out still incorrect (grilled chicken instead of fried which would have made the sandwich perfect). The kid who was waiting on us, however, said that he had mentioned to the kitchen on the second one. He also got us some hot French fries. Maybe the cook doesn't know the menu? The boy did speak with the manager and had the sandwich removed from the ticket. That was really sweet. The food was good for what it was. I wish the fries had really been rough cut fries. These poor kids running this dining area either need training or help or both. We watched at least two couples leave. That made me sad! We were told, when we were leaving, that the young man who waited on us was brand new. That whomever was supposed to be training he and the other boy didn't show up. This is the sad reality of the day BUT I wish he'd have told us. Or Someone would have. There were experienced wait staff at the bar who could have maybe helped or been a buffer. That makes me even more sad. The atmosphere here is great. The place is cute as it can be. Just maybe need to work out a few kinks. I really wanted to try the chocolate belly but, now two hours in, I've lost interest. Maybe next time. read more

Very casual, very good! Fried green beans and the grilled salad were the highlights today. Great burger and huge hotdog too. Plenteous servings. Loved the music blasts from the past too. read more

Only gave 1 star because our waitress was very sweet but kitchen cannot get it together. Burger was cold, burnt bacon, cheese was disintegrated. Server sent two meals back but kitchen never cooked a new order after she went twice to get it. Group of 5, two people got their orders which one was overcooked and the other was undercooked with burnt bacon and the rest of us sat for an hour and watched them eat dinner while we continued to wait for food that never came out. Manager on duty was a teenager who was busy waiting tables. Will never eat here again. A place that prides itself on burgers and bacon that cannot seem to cook either one correctly. Wait staff very apologetic. I was sitting in view of kitchen where staff was arguing and wait staff being pummeled by angry customers as food was inconsistent. Never eating here again. Better restaurants with better bacon and burgers elsewhere. read more

A very laid back place with good food and the best bacon I've ever eaten. This is some of the best "bar food" in the area. Their burgers are very good and their sweet potato fries are a nice addition to your meal. read more

Omg, this place was very delish' if i say so myself! Everytime i go there, i order the blt and french fries because they weren't kidding about that bacon! Its like you can taste the crispyness in the fries and bacon. Even the lettuce is burst full of flavor! It won an easy 5 stars from my stomach! You should give a raise to my waitress i always get, Pamela Bergevin! read more

Will not be going back for awhile!!! Food was great but service wow. I understand the work shortage but when you have people wait 40 minutes to pay. Not good. Then walk to find someone to pay you notice three workers in kitchen just sitting down eating!!!! read more

The food here is really good and made fresh... we enjoy the menu options The only reason for the low score is the environment. This restaurant is mostly outdoor seating. Not much is done to prevent flys and mosquitoes. Since it tends to be raining or very humid in fairhope outdoor seating is uncomfortable, so we dont eat here much. The indoor seating seems dark, small and unsanitary. We would eat here very often if there was more indoor comfortable seating. read more

Awesome place to stop in. Very casual, good food great drink selections and friendly staff. Stop by and give it a shot. But do yourself a favor and try the bacon! read more

This was our first time dining here after passing many times traveling to Fairhope. We had great service and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The pimento cheese appetizer was tasty. I was a little disappointed in our entrees. Neither of our burgers came with the caramelized onions as described on the menu. My husband ordered the fries and they were not the delicious looking hand cut fries in the photos we had seen and as described on the menu, but rather frozen, crinkle cut fries. I asked for the green beans as a side, assuming they would be regular green beans cooked with some of the delicious bacon. What I got was breaded, fried green beans. They weren't bad, just not what I was expecting based on how the menu is written. We tried to order boiled peanuts and were told they were out, so maybe the issues with our entrees were due to other items being out as well. read more

Love being in Fairhope with my in-laws. While we are here, we are always looking for a new place to dine. It was a rainy day so it wasn't very busy but had a wonderful outdoor area for seating! I didn't see anyone at first when I walked up, so I was a little confused about where the host stands. However, our service was great! I ordered a burger and sweet potato fries. My little one ordered a kids hot dog which was a foot long hot dog! It was a good portion. The fries were the best according to my teen. The bacon was the highlight of our meal! We had friends from Baltimore done with us and they were really impressed! When ordering appetizers, I would order several orders of the bacon! read more

CORRECTION- BILL-E's IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS! ----------------------------------------------- The note in YELP is in error. We have notified Bill-e's so they can address with Yelp themselves. We will send a review after we have eaten dinner this evening. -------------------- As mentioned above. We went back for dinner Saturday evening. Party of 4. We were seated right away. Our server took our order. We all ordered one of their Hamburger options. 2ea Wagyu Beef, 1 Black and Blu and 1 Mushroom Swiss. Everyone had very positive feedback on their selections. Both the rough cut fries and/or homemade chips served with burgers came back with good comments. Bilie's staff also checked on us after serving as follow-up for satisfaction and refills . Etc. Atmosphere is relaxed and casual. read more

Great atmosphere and burgers. The burger options were amazing, the fries and chips were great! Prefer the chips over the fries. The bleu cheese burger was my favorite out of all! Holy cow burger was great too, but for sure need to eat it with silverware. Outdoor setting was nice and music was very country beach vibes. read more

We have driven by Bill E's a few times, we have to try there. I hs a the Holy Cow, with the bacon. It was a great seasoned burger with fries. Had 2 Orange Blood beers recomme by the bar tender. They have a fun outdoor area for seating along with various games including a game where a metal ring attached to a string and you have to swing it to catch on a hook. We definitely will be coming back. read more

I wasn't going to write a review after our horrible experience last night because we were comped our whole meal after complaining to our server. I think it was a manager that came over and apologized for how bad our burgers and homemade chips and fries were. We told her that we have never had such a terrible meal there and that we were very disappointed. That's when she said she was not going to charge us for anything and said she hoped we would come back again. Our server was wearing a mask but no one else in the place was. They did not have tables separated or require customers to wear a mask. The music was so loud we couldn't even carry on a conversation. We asked for a fork and after 10 minutes or more I finally got up and got my own. While I certainly appreciate our meal being free, there was just so much wrong with the whole experience, I doubt we will go back again. Better to close down until you find good staff or stop your catering biz and pay attention to your restaurant. . At least that way you aren't damaging your business and reputation. read more

The hamburgers are great but this restaurant needs a lesson on how to cook French fries. The are soggy and disgusting.

Killer cheeseburgers w this creamy pepper sauce that makes it pretty special. He makes a specialized bacon that goes great on your bacon cheeseburger. I had the sautéed mushrooms, onions and Swiss cheeseburger. I couple more mushrooms would have made it better I think I might have had 2 small slices of a mushroom on the whole thing. Oh well, it was still good. Live music on occasion and friendly owner. Snagged a coupon for a free draft beer! read more

Great casual setting. Love the partially covered seating. Friendly staff but they need to tighten up on their attention to detail. Incomplete orders when we received our food. We had burgers and they were very good. Great battered onion rings. Very good selection of beer. They also have live music in certain nights. There is inside seating as well as seating in the bar. My wife a vegetarian likes this place because they have a veggie burger. The last time we were there they were out of veggie burgers. Bummer! It would be nice if they had a few extra hot vegetarian options. We'll be back. read more

Thank you to our cooks and waitress for a lunch that serves the best comfort food at a super price! I had their chili burger sliders with fried green beans that were excellent! My friend had a 10inch all beef hotdog with an ample amount of onions, red peppers, etc. He also had hand cut french fries that I tried and they reminded me of the famous fries from the amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio at Cedar Point! I sure wish I had ordered them! I will be back for them. Their hamburgers and hotdogs are the best! For dessert I had a huge brownie with vanilla ice cream with Carmel and chocolate sauce that was so heavenly! Pull up a picnic bench and enjoy excellent American food, and feel welcomed by their entire staff that are friendly, attentive, and quick on their feet to make it a great dining experience! read more

We never post any reviews.. but this one is a must. We placed a delivery order and out of 3 orders 2 were wrong and all 3 were the absolute worst meal all 3 of us have ever TRIED to eat. We have ordered from here many times before and have never received food like this. Ordered medium cooked burgers.. Received 2 BURNT dried out patties. Buns were stale. The comeback chicken was so dry we couldn't tear it with our hands must less bite into it. Who ever was in the kitchen apparently was preoccupied and forgot our food was on the grill.. what a huge disappointment. This shouldnt even receive 1 star!! read more

What a huge disappointment today. My husband and I went in for lunch today to the inside room. They saw us come in as they looked at us and one of the gals said someone just came to inside dining. It took them about 10 or more minutes to wait on us. The waitress said thank u for your patience we are busy outside. Ok we ordered and when it cAme my husbands was wrong. He told the waitress he wanted fries and gravy with his sandwich , he got chips. He told her to take them back. Well she gave us a disgusted look took them back and when he had one more bite of sandwich the fries came without the gravy. So he asked for gravy another disgusted sigh and off she went. I heard the cook or some man say well tell them it will take a long time now for gravy. Then the original waitress shows up says this is my third day thank you for your patience and brought a tiny little cup of gravy. I had totally run out of patience as once another waitress delivered the wrong order we never saw the original waitress till then. Then we are done eating another 15 mins till we get the check. Again she never comes back for the money for about 20 minutes. Then says thank you for your patience. I was done by then having any patience left. I just wanted out of there. The service was totally unacceptable and we will never return as the staff can't seem to control their comments which we clearly heard in the dining area. If they don't want to wait on ppl and serve the correct order without comment they don't need to be in that business. There are many other places that are much better and the service is really good. They want you to be there. Every customer should be important. I learned this after 25 yrs in customer service. From the outside you may not try it. I personally love places like this. I had an appt in fairhope and looking at yelp reviews for this place i thought we should try it. My husband and i both had the mushroom swiss burger. I had sweet potato fries which were delicious . The burgers were perfectly cooked , with really fresh ingredients on top. I could taste the beef not just the toppings which is usually the case. It is a tiny place inside but there are tables outside. Ours had a heater on the table. We did use it but it was only slightly chilly. We will be back to try something else if i can get past that tasty burger. The service is quick and very helpful with menu items.. Went last week again and their shrimp Sandwich. It had huge shrimp, cheese, bacon , special sauce and was awesome. read more
