Worse of all they didn't even do a half decent job cleaning my suit and shirts. Never go here, if I could give them negative stars I would. This is the worst cleaners ever. After asking him if he knows how to handle Canada Goose jackets, he said yes and shrunk all three jackets and completely ruined the jackets. The jackets appear discolored, the stitching is coming apart, and all the fur is gone. After addressing this with him, he said he would fix the matter and to come back in 5 days. I come back and the jacket is even worse. The jacket won't zip and he tells me I'm not trying hard enough. So I tell him to zip it for me and when he couldn't, he says "this has never happened idk what you did". Now I'm completely flabbergasted at how he has tried to turn this on me. He refused to replace my item and told me he will only give me 100 dollars for the jacket. When I paid 1000 dollars and it is only 1 year old. He was rude and unprofessional. These guys did a good dry cleaning job with my suit and ties for a fair price, but I can't agree with what some of the others have said about the timeliness. I dropped off a jacket as well for a zipper repair and was originally told it'd also be ready by today at noon...only to have them let me know that I can come back in tomorrow to get it. Not a big deal, but it's good form to give customers an accurate pick up time. After I left my former white collar employer, I put away my suits and never looked back. Oh, and by put away of course I mean rolled up into a ball and threw in the black hole that is my closet. Well who would have thought that one day I'd need to wear a suit again? Hiding underneath a pile of shoes and dead hookers I found my favorite black suit totally wrinkled and dirty. Whoops. With only a few days before I needed to play dress up, I rushed down to Bijan and dropped off my life. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and told me exactly when to come back. I've had my share of horrible experiences at a dry-cleaner's (e.g. losing shirts, rips, stains, etc) but this establishment seems to be run in a very organized and professional manner. I believe the place is owned by a Korean family and they always do an excellent job, always returning your freshly cleaned garments on time. They also take credit cards. There's a wedding I need to attend next month so I'll probably bring my suit here for tailoring as well. read more

They are a bit pricey for shirts, but its quality. Plus they do a real good job on alterations. I brought my designer jeans over there to get them shortened, original hem, and the stitching looked better then it was when I dropped them off. My second visit, I ripped my dress pants to a suit and brought it to a tailor by work who seemed to be the guy for the job, he was going to over charge me plus he said that it wouldn't look right. I'm a college student new to Boston so I decided to try Bijan Cleaners because it was nearby. I brought my favorite black coat. Both pockets were ripped inside, one of the pockets was ripped a little on the outside, and the interior lining seam has come undone so it was hanging loosely off the coat. When I brought the coat in I asked for both pockets to be fixed and for the interior lining to be re-attached to the coat. My first minor grievance was that he said the coat would be ready by Monday but when I came in Monday he said he needed an additional day. This, however, didn't bother me that much. After Monday though, I decided to look at the receipt and I realized the charge was for 80$. (I realize I made a mistake in not looking at the receipt on the day I dropped the coat off but I figured it wouldn't total to that much). So, I went to pick up the coat today (Tuesday), intending to ask about the charges on the receipt because they were slightly confusing. I got the coat and asked about the charges. He had apparently charged me for a dry cleaning I didn't explicitly ask for (30$). Then I figured the two other listed charges, 20$ and 30$ were for the seams I requested. I was slightly upset that he dry- cleaned my coat without me requesting that service, but I figured it was a lesson to learn and that next time I would be clear. I left the dry cleaners and shortly after took a look at the coat. The pockets were sewn, although slightly messily. But the interior lining wasn't even sewn onto the coat. I was very frustrated because I was charged what I considered to be a pretty high rate and the job wasn't even done properly. I went back (my third time within 2 days) and brought up my issue. I asked why the seam wasn't done when I had asked for it to be sewn and the man just tried to convince me that the lining was not supposed to be sewn onto the coat. I was frustrated and doubted myself a bit in the moment and didn't want to get upset further so I left. I totally felt gaslighted and taken advantage of. 80$ for an incomplete job is totally unprofessional. read more

I've been bringing my dry cleaning and alterations here for over 7 years. I started going here because it's close to my office. I would never go to any other dry cleaner if I can help it! My office is moving soon (which is a good thing), but I'm super bummed that I'll have to find a new dry cleaner! Help! I don't trust anyone with my clothes but Bijan!!! Seriously, they do a wonderful job. Always on time, and they have never lost or damaged anything - even silk or items with sequins/beading that are delicate come back perfect. I had a satin clutch purse with a large and visible stain from alcohol being spilled on it...I thought it was a goner but I brought it to Bijan and they made it good as new! I have also had good experiences with alterations at Bijan. Other reviewers are right - the owner couldn't be nicer and even knows your name if you come in regularly. read more

DO NOT USE THIS CLEANER: A complete hassle and an immoral business owner. I understand that things happen, but don't lie to your customers. There are plenty of other cleaners in the area - I would go somewhere else. Story below: He shrunk my brand new silk button-down shirt. He was extremely tight and uncomfortable and very obviously puling at every seam and button. He very nicely admitted he shrunk my shirt. He apologized. He asked I would let him try to stretch it to fix it. He also told me that if it did not work, he would replace my shirt. I said ok. Stretching the shirt did not work. He then told me that he did NOT shrink the shirt, but that "it came that way" and that "seeing your bra was normal these days so its ok." Um. NO WAY pal.... I reminded him that he already admitted that he shrunk the shirt, hence the reason he was trying to stretch it. He conceded and then suggested he move the buttons over to give more room. He again said he would replace the shirt if it did not work. I said ok (what I supposed to do!?) I came back 2 weeks later and he had not yet moved the buttons. He said he wanted to "pay a friend" to move the buttons. I said fine. (I had pretty much given up on him at this point. It was clear he was lying.) Shocker - That did not work either and the shirt was still tiny and pulling and yes, completely showing my bra between the buttons. As you can probably imagine, he again said he did NOT shrink the shirt, told me "showing your bra was the way it was supposed to fit" and yes, HE REFUSED TO COMPENSATE ME. Again, a complete hassle and an immoral business owner. I completely understand that these things happen, but don't lie to your customers. There are plenty of other cleaners in the area. Wow I just started coming here after some issues with the cleaners down the street on Columbus. One shirt with brown stains that always came back with the stain still there was gone the first time I dropped it off here! Price is little higher than Columbus cleaners but guess you get what you pay for and worth it. Shirts look so much better too bc it's done at the location. Collar isn't flattened out. read more

I live down the street from the cleaners and really needed two pairs of jeans hemmed before the Boston salt and snow ruined the bottoms of my pants. I did some research on Yelp for a god place and this was the closet. Thy did a great job. When I called they told me 15 per pair, but when I went down they said that was the price for a new hem, but to reuse the old hem would be 25 a piece. I figured that was fine and that it would look better. I was right. They did an awesome job. The new seam is the same dark color as my jeans and sits only a few millimeters up from the original hem. There is a more substantial seam on the inside that is folded over, i don't know how to describe it but you can't see the big seam from the outside. I'd up load a photo if those jeans weren't in the wash. They look great! read more

Sure, they cleaned my suit all right. But when a cleaners can't press a shirt better than I can, they're doing something wrong. No consistency. Also their prices are the highest in the area, from what I've found. They are friendly though, and I might try them for some tailoring. When I brought in a blanket from Mexico, they took the time to call me before cleaning it to let me know that the colors might run (they didn't, in the end). I've been taking my shirts here for years, and they have yet to mess anything up. Ever. And, they're really nice, professional, friendly, etc. etc. I don't tend to wear a lot of dry-cleanables, but people of the more female persuasion who are perhaps a bit fussy about such things tell me that they do a very good job with that too. read more

These guys did an outstanding job dry-cleaning a year's worth of dry-clean-only clothes for me (I'm lazy and never get around to going to the dry cleaners). This included several sweaters, a silky shirt I was worried would get destroyed in the cleaning process (nope- it was fine), a winter jacket that I thought would look gross forever (no longer) and some t-shirts that I thought I'd have to scrap due to staining (no longer). I usually go to Gallery Cleaners at Huntington and Mass Ave but decided to try Bijan as it is right around the corner from my house. I didn't check the prices before dropping of as I expected that the charges for services were pretty standard. I was disappointed with the rude service and the price. He charged me over $7 to launder and press a dress shirt because it had snaps instead of buttons. Gallery cleaners has laundered the same shirt for years for only $2.50. After viewing all the prices I found them all to be higher than other cleaners along with rude service. Not going back! read more

I Moved from Seattle recently and began my search for a dependable drycleaners in the area. I noticed Bijan Cleaners which sits right between Mass Ave. and Columbus Ave. in the South End and very accessible on my way to work. As a result I decided to check it out to find out for myself and was impressed on a few ends. My dress shirts came back crisply pressed with just enough starch, my suits looking fantastic, and a couple of holes I had asked to be patched on my cashmere sweaters done seamlessly. Very friendly service and have yet to experience any issue with them having used them for a good year and a half. I suggest that you GO ELSEWHERE, TRY ANOTHER DRY CLEANERS ON COLUMBUS AVENUE! I came here to get a white silk skirt dry cleaned. Not in bad shape, but there were 2 small yellowish spots that were barely noticeable on the right hand side, near the seam. I came back to find the skirt in the same soiled condition PLUS additional water stains that must have transferred when the skirt was dry cleaned. In addition, the skirt has a black seam on the belt, pockets, and bottom hem - WHICH BLED black onto the white silk. When I started inspecting the skirt, I couldn't believe my eyes. At first the owner stated that he would try to get out the water stains, but it's difficult. Um, excuse me?! You're in the business of dry cleaning - water stains should be the LEAST of your worries. After he kept saying that the black dye that bled on to the white silk will not come out, I finally had had enough and requested not to pay for the job poorly done and that I would take my business and skirt elsewhere. He had no problems with it, as I assume, he realized just how bad of a he did. THIS IS LITERALLY MY FIRST TIME RECEIVING AN ITEM BACK FROM THE DRY CLEANER IN WORSE CONDITION THAN IT WAS ACTUALLY SUBMITTED. Will not be returning! read more

The people here were unbelievably nice, so I was heartbroken when I got my jeans back and saw that they had done the worst original hem shortening job I've ever seen. I'm only 5' so I have to get alllll my jeans shortened. All my jeans from other places come back looking like they came right out of the factory in the length I needed. However, the sub-par hem job from Bijan was quite obvious. And it wasn't cheap: $24... but like I said, the guys there were very sweet and gave a first-time customer 10% discount. This is the closest tailor to my apartment, so I dropped by to get a vest (one of those trendy, cropped women's vests) taken in as well as get the interior of a bag fixed (lining had ripped). Do not go here unless you enjoy wasting your own time and money. I brought a pair of pants in to be hemmed a few inches on Wednesday the 17th. I tried them on in the cleaners and they were pinned. I returned on Monday the 21st, the pickup time I was given, and the man working there had forgotten to give them to the tailor so they were not ready. I was told to return on Wednesday the 23rd. I did and when I got home the pants were nowhere near short enough, despite being assured that they would not touch the ground. I was honestly unsure if they had even been hemmed at all. I went back and tried them on again and had them re-pinned and was told they would be ready on Saturday the 26th. I returned that day to pick them up and was told that the tailor had left some of the hem un-sewn and that they won't be ready until Wednesday the 30th. After all of this, I still had to pay full price, which was not cheap. The employee didn't seem to take any accountability for the delay and was not willing to give a discount despite the shoddy work and extreme waste of time. It shouldn't take almost two weeks and 4 different trips to the dry cleaner to get a pair of pants hemmed, especially for what Bijan is charging. I did not even receive a call to let me know they were not ready, and discovered it each time I went there to pick up. Once these pants are done, I will certainly not be returning. read more

I had two pairs of new pants hemmed at Bijan and they messed up both pairs. On one pair, the legs are two different lengths. The other pair had cuffs when I dropped them off at Bijan but now the cuffs are gone (the receipt even says keep cuffs!). read more
