Got a doble original bunger And the pade was burnt and so was the bread and the service was okay but overall all i think the only good thing was the fires i don't think it was worth 18 dollars for a burnt buger. read more

There wasn't a good thing that we tried. All of the meat was dried out and cold, fries were soggy, sweet potato fries were under cooked. The worse was that out of 2 racks of ribs, pulled pork, brisket, it was all so dried out and we wasted most of it. read more

Delivery was fast and food was still hot. Staff was good and had no issues. Wouldn't say it's was the best chicken I've had, but still very good. read more

Perhaps my expectations for small town food is high but the ribs were dry and overcooked in fact, there were jerkyish. Thankfully they provide a large cup of water because you will definitely need it. The service was very good and fast. Lastly, the fresh cut fries were delicious (similar to in-and-out burger's). Ive read the reviews and am hoping that this particular experience was rare. read more

No no no. Just no. Is what is it. Bad food. Got the ribs and it he meal was out in about 2 minutes... I'm no chef but I think it takes longer to cook ribs... So wonder how long they sat before landing on my plate. So gross. Couldn't even eat them. read more

Big Tex Bar-B-Que - Gross ribs - Barbeque Near Me - Willcox, Arizona

good food, love the fried green beans. The ribs & brisket are real yummy, great service.

This place got our attention with the bright red rail car, and after visiting Chiricahua National Monument, we stopped for lunch. Pulled pork and brisket were delicious, but the fries were soggy. The place was pretty much a mess. Waitress said she'd clean off the table wherever we decided to sit. Just about every table was still covered with the remains of previous meals. Unappetizing to say the least. Service was good and food came fast. read more

Great chicken sandwich with tons of onions and green chiles. Went here after the Wilcox flyer and the food was excellent, along with HUGE glasses of much-needed water. read more

OMG! Definitely the jewel of Willcox! This is one of those places you should stop at if you're passing through Arizona towards New Mexico. The restaurant is in an old cable or train car, which is fun I'm itself, the staff are very nice and service is great! But the stand out is the food. The BBQ sauce is to die for! I will definitely be returning whenever I can!! read more

Outside appearance of an old train car is super cute. Inside decor is lacking greatly. The train part is small so odds are you'll be eating in the addition which is as bland as the food. Had the fried mushrooms. No seasoning in batter, basic bar food. Also tried the regular plate with pulled pork, beans & potato salad. Pulled pork needs bbq sauce otherwise there's no flavor, same with the beans. Came on Wilcox Wine festival weekend so wait staff was constantly running. Did they napkins, refills or asked if we needed anything. Had to flag down waitress for check when we gave up on having a pleasant lunch. I'd suggest trying off hours, setting your expectations low & getting Mexican across the street. read more

The owner is a great guy, and his whole family too. They are there almost all the time, super friendly, kind, respectful, I mean I've never felt so comfortable in a restaurant atmosphere like this. This place was recently remodeled after a fire that destroyed almost half the restaurant. And I can tell you this place is so wonderful and worthy of a 5 star rating that. The food is great, and the best thing about this place is that there is a section of the restaurant that is a train car. read more

Ribs too dry, brisket just right. Reasonable prices. Lots of seating. Cute place. Good solid service. Just nothing to write home about.

I ordered the grilled turkey which was cold for being grilled, but the green chili gave it some good flavor. My friend however ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich which consisted of a dry, hard, thin chicken breast on a huge bun with the BBQ sauce on the side. The chicken was so hard I couldn't even stab it with my fork with force. For my side I ordered the pinto beans which were bland. read more

Good food, probably best in the town. I had brisket sandwich very flavorful and the dinner roll in which they served it on was tremendous the down side was their fries I didn't try the beer battered fries but their regular fries weren't great but overall a good place to eat at and average price range. The best part bout my visit was that it was super packed but the service was super fast I had my food within 15 minutes. If you ever in Willcox stop by you won't be disappointed read more

The waitress couldn't have been nicer. The service was lightning fast. My bbq brisket sandwich was lovely, as was the fried okra. Comfort food done right! read more

This place was great. I liked the food and the fast service. I had a BBQ platter. the chicken was very moist and flavorful. The brisket and tri-tip were cooked just right. The ribs were ok, they were a bit chewy. The roll, coleslaw and beans were great. I would have liked a bit more BBQ sauce since I ran out half way through my meal. I do recommend this place, the prices are very resonable and its filling. Plus it's in an red train car! read more

We stumbled upon this little gem after apple picking at Apple Annie's. It was packed... apparently there was a big rodeo going on in Wilcox that day. The restaurant is in an old cable car which is really neat, but very tight. You have to walk through one of their service areas to get to the restrooms and stand there awkwardly in front of the area where they bus plates if there is already someone it it... but it all adds to the experience of a dive, right? They do have a bigger room off the back which is good for large groups. That is where we were seated... though I kind of feel like we missed out on the true "ambiance" of the cable car by being back there. Two of us were also seated at a tabled meant for about 10 which I was kind of underwhelmed with until the fried okra we ordered came out and I was too busy popping those in my mouth to even care about the weird seating arrangements. I ordered the brisket stuffed potato for my meal and it was ridiculous. Probably the largest potato I've ever seen and it was the perfect vehicle for the brisket... topped with some cheese and sour cream. Perfection. Great place to check out during a day trip to Wilcox for sure. read more

Big Tex Bar-B-Que - Giant baked potato stuffed with BBQ brisket and some fried okra. Delish. - Barbeque Near Me - Willcox, Arizona

Beef brisket was the worst I ever had, and the potato salad was disgusting and weird! On the flip side, the pulled pork was good, but cold, and the service was ok. Don't recommend wasting your time or money going to this place. read more

Read previous reviews & was skeptical. However I enjoyed my ribs! The slaw was fresh. Service was warm & friendly. Give a try.

We ate here last night and I was not impressed. My baked potato stuffed with pulled pork was revolting. How you can mess up two perfectly paired ingredients as pork and potatoes is beyond my comprehension. My husband also assured me that his hamburger was the worst he ever had and his french fries were cold and tasted like cardboard. If you can resist the urge to eat in a railroad car, you might fare better by enjoying a meal at La Unica. read more

Best food in town. Been there many times. Friendly and quick service. Don't get a salad, it's virtually just lettuce. Beer battered fries much better than regular greasy fries. Everything else on the menu is very good. read more

Stopped for lunch because the old train car eatery looked fun. Was totally pleased with the quality of the food .Pulled pork sandwich presented on a large bun accompanied by a large serving of the best fries. The price very reasonable for such a generous serving. Can't wait to try one of the steaks like the ones served to the guys next to us. Service was very plesant and accomodating . read more

I travel in and around Wilcox for business and always wanted to stop here. First the setting of the rail car was great. I ordered the pastrami and Swiss with a side of coleslaw. The coleslaw was tasty and very good. The pastrami was stringy, hard to chew, and not soft at all. My co-worker ordered a hamburger with green chili on it. The green chili was not roasted and was tough. She did get the sweet potato fries which were delicious. Unsure if I would try them again especially since our meal total was $20 for so so food. read more

Delicious BBQ in a unique dining car. The menu is simple and the portions are large. The staff was friendly and attentive. It is a few minutes off I-10, but it is worth the drive. read more

Inconsistent, but generally poor food and not too friendly or courteous service. Serves up big portions of generally over cooked and seemingly reheated items. Even simple staples (bar food) cannot be relied on. For example, super soggy bread is served with their pulled pork sandwiches. Coleslaw is looks like cafeteria or canned food, sweet potato fry's are not crisped. super meh Unforgettably, the smoked meat scent wafting outside of the restaurant makes you really want a delicious barbeque meal. Everyone I've gone with agrees, the great smells outside do not match what is happening on the inside. It's some sort of ridiculous parlor trick. I can only recommend a slice of pie and coffee...To go. At least that way no frowny face can spoil your mood. read more

Stopped for lunch and had a really good pulled pork sandwich on they're homemade buns. YUM!! BBQ sauce was on the side which is nice to add the amount you like. We had the coleslaw for our side. Very good! The Vinegar oil base made it light and tasty and eating lunch in a railroad car was a pleasant experience. read more

One of a kind type of place. Worth the visit if for nothing else to eat in an old authentic rail car. Wife had the BBQ brisket which she said was very flavorful but a little tough. I had the beer battered cod which was moist, tasty, and quite good. Fries were a bit disappointing. Hand cut but quite greasy and limp. Cole slaw was very good. Reasonable prices and fast friendly service. read more

Stopped here since not much of choice in Willcox. Love the setting in the cable car. Ribs were tasty, chicken not so much. The sides were cold slaw and beans. Was disappointed the beans were regular pinto beans, the cole slaw was ok, but didn't care for the beans. Loved the jalapeño bottle caps. read more

I'm from NC and cook competition BBQ. So, I will state up front I have a high bar for Q. I'm an engineer and in town for business for a few days. This BBQ was terrible. The brisket was dry, the pulled pork was dry and the spare ribs were dry (2 spare ribs were edible and I left everything else). I was hungry from a long day of work and wanted to give this place a try. The venue is gorgeous and they have the right pits and wood, but they have no clue how to cook. When asked "how was everything " I responded "pretty bad". I got no response. I didn't want a refund, just an acknowledgement of poor performance. I received nothing. I paid $32 for a few bites of edible food. If you care for BBQ, dont come here. Drive by it, take a picture of the building and the train, then go eat Mexican across the street. read more

Great food at reasonable prices. Save room for the homemade pies. Yum. Also, try the Cole Slaw - I really loved it. Service was over the top. Portions are HUGE. It does get very busy in the evenings, so come early. read more

Fries were day old, ribs were dried out, pork fritter tasted like sawdust, flies everywhere. N-O-P-E.

Great lunch!! We had the Saturday special ribs and the BBQ brisket sandwich. Both outstanding!!! Very friendly staff. Only problem was the directions are totally wrong. The restaurant is in old downtown. It is in an old red train car. Loved it!!! read more

We always try to stop here when we pass through Wilcox on our way to/from Texas. Real wood-fired Texas style BBQ - better in fact than most you will get in Texas. The meats are tender and flavorful and NOT dried out like so many other places that rely on BBQ sauce to rehydrate. Quirky decor and clientele - what's not to like? read more

Absolutely amazing BBQ. Catfish was to die for, and the brisket is fork tender & juicy. Very unique place to eat!

Cool place to stop while road tripping. You get to eat in an old train car. BBQ is pretty good, better than any fast food off the interstate. read more

Had the brisket sandwich.. Excellent!!! Neta had smoked turkey sandwich..Also very good!!! Service was great and a neat atmosphere inside.

Enjoy this nice little place in Willcox. The waitresses are super friendly and on top of their game. I usually order the pork BBQ sandwich which is excellent. But recently tried the corn fritters, can you say yum! And enjoyed the fish fry on Friday the last time I went and was very pleased, excellent meal. read more

BBQ ribs and pulled pork were "ok". The beans were tasteless and the fries soggy. Service wad sub par too.

Awesome building love the rail boot rest but the sweet potato fries were cold and the meat was a little dry

We stopped here after visiting chiricahua national monument, cause we got a kick about eating in a rail car. Also the guy smoking meat outside look very apetizing. Boy were we not disappointing. Granted I'm not from a BBq rich region but this is still the best BBQ I have ever had. The chicken was super moist and the spices!!! dont get me started so Fing good. I didnt really use any of there sauce, it didnt need it so I cant attest for that. I also had the ribs were just as yummy as the chicken. Prob the best part of this place was the 2 locals eating who said " I'm fat and sassy" after finishing their meal, lol. I still compare all future BBQ items to this place. read more
