I love the selection of items in Apple Annie's store and have tried something new on each visit. Today, I brought home apple cider, apple butter and apple cider donuts, along with a super cute tea towel (I love that they have branded items now.) I've also had the cherry cider, salsas and pie and everything has been fantastic. This is a terrific stop along the way, follow the signs is easy to find if you do. I loved the options for snacks and treats. I found several edibles for family members. They have neat gifts, bees, Americana, apples, towels, signs, tumblers, you name it. They had fudge options. A place to sit inside and eat. And my favorite, jars filled with jam, veggies and pickles! We went out of our way to come here during lunch and were promptly told they were too busy and backed up. Meanwhile there were 4 other people in the place and 3 of them were eating lunch already! I mean really?! If I were her I would be embarrassed. Also, very few pies to choose from, all some sort of apple. I was hoping for pecan since I thought this was pecan country! They do have a grill/diner that is open till 1pm during the week, which is the only food you are going to find ( besides dessert) at all 3 properties during the week. Very nice employees. The thinly sliced apples are fresh and the crust is to kill for. Just a nice flakey delicious creation. Also comes in crumble apple pie. This place was a hidden gem. We got off of the freeway (I-10) on our way back from New Mexico to grab some food and stretch our legs in Wilcox, AZ. As we were exiting, we saw a sign guiding us toward Apple Annie's Country Store. Immediately, we knew we had to stop and check it out. We love finding homey little shopping locations when we are on the road because they always have something for us or for a gift for our friends or family. We were not disappointed. This place is great. So much to see it is a bit overwhelming at first. They have an active bakery, and you can order a piece of pie and sit down at one of their many tables and enjoy it. They also have breads and sandwiches, etc. This adds to the atmosphere as the place smells fantastic. The rest of the shop is full of bottled preserves, jams, olives, etc. These make excellent gifts. There are also knickknacks, signs, paintings, stuffed animals, and other items which make great gifts or decorations for your own space. Finally, as you approach the cashier with your selections - there is a counter full of fudge. Talk about placement. It is the ultimate impulse purchase temptation having that there while you wait in line to check out. We'll definitely be back for some pie and gifts the next time we are in the area. read more

Annie's Country Store is a good highway stop for lunch, artisan crafts, and all the regionals treats you care to eat, including apple "everything" (pie, butter, bread, and more). They're a little short-handed, with the same staff members trying to operate the café and the front register, but service is friendly, and it's an easy way to cap off a visit to their outstanding pumpkin/produce patch, just a few miles up the road. read more

Beware. I just took my mom and kids over the weekend. They don't list the price of their corn for you pick on their website. I thought since there wasn't a price listed at all that it was the same price as the already picked price, so I let my kids go to town with 24 ears of corn. I didn't receive my emailed receipt until after we left. I was charged $72. The ears are also much smaller. This is what $72 got me a whopping 96oz in volume, not weight as I got everything added into a 32oz and 64oz mason jars. I attempted to get this worked out via phone today and was told in a nutshell that they would not adjust the pricing and I'm stuck with the cost. I don't think we will be going back, we have made this at least a yearly outing, sometimes 2-3 trips a year to get various fruits and vegetables throughout the year. read more

Our first stop yesterday and we were pleasantly surprised! The store is clean and well organized. There is a lot to see/buy and I feel it was displayed well. They also have clean roomy restrooms. Because of all the positives I just listed, I was hoping for an incredible service experience and the service was just okay. My husband and I shared a yummy piece of apple pie with ice cream. I was just in this store and spent, along with my sister and cousin, almost 300.00. We also bought a famous Apple Anne's apple pie. Upon arriving at home to have lunch and dessert, the pie was way over cooked, it didn't cut, and it didn't come out of the pan. Because of the distance to our home it was not economical to return it. We did eat what we could dig out, but it wasn't any good. The cashier said the pie was made that morning, which clearly it was not! I was so glad to find Apple Annie's. Recently moved here from Utah and I was missing the fresh farm stand produce Heard about Apple Annie's on the Next Door app and had to take the drive to Willcox. I went with 2 friends from work. We had never been there before and were pretty excited. We drove from Tucson. Shortly after arriving, one of my friends was singled out by, we were told was the owner. He approached my friend, who was purchasing apples, and told him that he was offending him. Really nice country store with different things to purchase. You can expect to find anything from dessert, ingredients, souvenirs, and other cool stuff. I had heard so much about Apple Annie's but at 100 miles away, it took some time to get around to visiting. The Country Store was convenient that Sunday, so we stopped in. First, everything is commercial. I was hoping for "local" or homemade things. That made it a huge disappointment as I could have bought any of it online. Second, it was all seriously overpriced, as befitting most tourist attractions. Nine dollars for apple bread that looked purely commercially made? uh, no. I am, however, a fudge lover, so ended up with there Maple Nut Fudge . . . Oh, Lord, why didn't I read the label? Back out in the truck, I took a bite. It had the consistency of Crisco shortening with lumps in it. The maple flavoring was barely there and had the oddest aftertaste. Then I read the label. "Artificially flavored". Ingredients like "hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil" (Hello, habitats are being destroyed to plant palms!), "corn syrup solids" (can you say, trans fats?) nonfat dry milk, dry cream . . . . . . Artificial maple flavor . . . Please explain, is that flavored to taste like artificial maple? Fructose or high fructose corn syrup is listed several times and a bunch of chemicals I cannot type. The coup de grace is . . . . . . . . Contains Bioengineered Food Ingredients ! ! ! ! Blech! We have enough God-Blessed natural ingredients in Cochise County that we don't need all the artificial poop Apple Annie's put in their fake food. Bottom line, to call this a "country store" is a misnomer at best and a complete farce at worst. Worth the stop!! What a nice surprise! They have lots of unique gifts/collectibles/interesting finds! Love the preserves and homemade goodies! We tried the Back Road fried okra and it was a pleasant surprise! The fudge is delicious and melts in your mouth! The butter pecan was delectable and rich! So, the wife and I were heading towards Willcox on our way to another destination when we went to check out their store. The store itself was cute. The bathrooms were clean and looked remodeled. The bathrooms are also gender neutral If you're looking for that. The mask situation there is problematic. Only one staff person of 3 wearing a mask. Not requiring visitors to wear one in a relatively small store. I was disappointed with the lack of care that showed for customers. We got a piece of pie that was ok. Nothing too spectacular but a smalls step above grocery store. Got pumpkin fudge that was really awesome. I understand things are hard because of Covid but wearing masks and making space for social distancing is important. read more

I will preface this review to say that in the past, I thought highly of the products and service of Apple Annie's store. I've stopped on many a trip to Safford and just a casual drive out to Willcox just because we wanted apple pie. However, since Apple Annie's does not think highly of its customers, I will never patronize your store again. Thank goodness we live in a democracy. As a business, you have the right not to protect your customers (or your staff for that matter) and practice kind reciprocity for the two (count them - two) customers who thought enough of you and your establishment to enter wearing masks. When I entered today at approximately 3 pm for a slice of pie (as well as apple butter and some jams, which I decided after my exchange, we're no longer necessary), I inquired whether masks were required. The woman working in your store dripped of arrogance as she replied - NO! Fine - I gave her the benefit of the doubt, paid for the slice of pie, practiced physical distancing, and followed her to the pie counter. I did find it quite odd that she took the pie in the back, out of plain sight, when every other time staff would cut the pie on the island near the front (pie) counter and hand me the container. All this - and the pie that my fiance and I looked forward to was lackluster at best. Again, I've enjoyed your products in the past, but alas, no more. Lastly, your employee should be thankful that I protected her by wearing a mask. As my fiance is an essential worker at a local hospital, the simple act of wearing a mask and practicing physical distancing while in the store made her work environment that much safer. Congratulations! You've inspired me to create two lists: one to include establishments that lack kind reciprocity to protect its customers by requiring their staff to wear masks (yours will be the first!), particularly since Arizona is currently being hit hard by COVID-19. The other list will include businesses that do practice care and concern for their customers by requiring their staff to wear masks. And of course, living in this great country that we do, I also have the right to share my experience with friends and colleagues as well. Life in the time of COVID-19 alert: Employee without a face covering, gloves not seen and unknown if used when handling food. Cochise County recommends masks but no official mandate. The store has a layout to provide ample space for at least six different shoppers to maintain physical distance, however, no signage or floor indications were noted. There was one bottle (almost empty) of hand sanitizer near the door and a note adjacent to the hand sanitizer on COVID-19. As of 7/27/2020, according to the Cochise County Health Department, the largest demographic for COVID-19 cases in Cochise County represent the employee with whom I interacted today: 20-44-year-olds. read more

First visit here and the store itself is super cute! They have the best gifts such as cactus earrings, lots of bee themed things as well as beautiful cutting boards. The store alone is worth the drive, the pies a plus. The pies are somewhat pricey at $15 and when we had a cold slice I wasn't sure it was worth it, but when you heat the slice in an oven and add whip cream, it's delicious. There is a lot of cheesy kitsch at Apple Annie's, which I resisted and just focused on the food. 1. The apple pie is good, but not the greatest. 2. The real winner here is their cinnamon vanilla ice cream. I cannot emphasize this enough. It is amazing. And pie and ice cream is about 70% ice cream and is basically a meal. EAT IT. 3.
