a pile of pumpkins

If you need a big batch of dazzling seasonal fun, head to Apple Annie's Produce and Pumpkins. From the covered outdoor store, with piles of pre-picked varietals, to the acres upon acres of pick-your-own fruits, vegetables, and gorgeous pumpkins of all sizes and colors (orange, lemon-yellow, white, grayish-sage, warty mixed-color, and more), there's something for everyone. And when you're finished on the produce side, head over to the sunflower fields, where the rows and rows of person-high flowers just seem to smile right at you. There's also a large corn maze, and if you get lost there on the weekend, they promise to come find you by Thursday. Too, too fun -- and don't forget a stop at Annie's Country Store, for lunch, artisan crafts, and all the apple treats (bread, butter, and pie) you can possibly eat!

Steamed, cut from the cob, and ready for the freezer. This will be great reminder of summer in the middle of the fall.

My partner and I usually stop at Apple Annie's produce stand after we've been to the orchard. If we've driven two hours, we might as well make both stops. The orchard is only a few miles further from I-10, and there is plenty of signage. If you are making the trip for vegetables and are traveling any distance, call the hotline first to see what they have. Since we stop by when we've already been to the orchard, we have not picked our own produce here or come for the pumpkin patch. We try to park near the tree line at the produce stand (so the fruit doesn't cook before we get it home) and buy produce that is already picked. The already picked vegetables typically are higher priced than what is in the grocery store. That said, the baker's dozen of sweet corn (not available for u-pick) is fresh and deliciously sweet. If you arrive close to lunch time, you also can get some perfectly roasted ears of sweet corn buttered or not with a selection of seasonings. Yum!

Very fun place to go with as a family. They have a lot to see. I would definitely come back and do a family photoshoot here. It's a cool place for the kids as well. They are able to pick veggies and the have a fun maze during fall time

If I were coming here for produce, I guess I would be upset by the lack of options. The shortage IS posted on their website and social media though. This is our first time here and I was fully expecting just precut pumpkins in dirt. The land was beautiful, beautiful mountain background. Carts, shears, snacks, picture perfect spots all readily available. It was hot but a wonderful family day.

I was excited about the Sweet Corn Extraveganza and looking forward to an event. My other half and I drove 90 minutes to get to this farm , which was pretty easy to find. Turning into the drive I have to say i was underwhelmed but hopeful. There was a sign that read "Hay Rides" but alas there weren't any. A few families were there and some wandered into the fields close by but few came out with any produce. The produce stands were not full nor was there a large variety. My guy walked over to the wall that held apple butters but he didn't select any. Needless to say I was not going home without sweet corn so I bought a half dozen and one roasted corn on the cob. The roasted corn was good but they use a crock pot with margarine that customers can use and there is a butter brush that's not disinfected, be cautious. The corn I brought home was smaller than the roasted ones they sold. Disappointed in the "Extraveganza".

So cute!!! Awesome for families. We enjoyed picking apples and pumpkins. The staff is so nice and the sweets they have are yummy. Glad we didn't come after they close for the season.

The pumpkins are waiting for children of all ages to come and take one home.

Yes you can buy a pumpkin at your local grocery store, but does that create a memory for your children? Willcox is a short drive from Tucson and you drive through the always beautiful Texas Canyon. The pumpkins are laying in wait for you to choose one, two, three or more to celebrate the season. The friendly staff at Apple Annie's just adds to the experience. While you're there you purchase chiles, tomatoes, cucumbers and other freshly harvested veggies to take home for delicious meals. Apple Annie's is more than fruits and vegetables, it's about creating experiences and the next generation learning the source of our food.
