I made the trip out to Apple Annie's from Phoenix with fall dreams in mind. The weather wasn't the best having been super rainy but I was still able to make the best I could out of the trip. Once you walk up there's a few different stands offering popcorn, coffee and apple cider donuts. There's a lot an outdoor produce area and indoor shop which sells tons of jams, spices and more. Of course the main attraction is the rows of apple orchards. I came on a Sunday which unfortunately seemed like all of the apples had already been picked so I didn't actually end up with any apples but I did enjoy the orchards for nice photos and that fall feeling. I also really enjoyed my apple cider donuts and coffee so still very worth it. read more

What an adorable experience for all ages! There's apples and apple picking in one part and a pumpkin harvest/sunflower harvest and corn maze in another part. We visited both parts and had an awesome time! We ordered apple cider donuts (made in house and fresh- I watched them mix the dough and fry it) and cider. The cider was the perfect sweetness with just enough spice/flavor to be good but not overwhelming. The apple cider donuts were worth the hour drive by themselves. They melt in your mouth! They didn't have anymore apples to pick but we did go on the last weekend they were open for the season so it made sense. The workers were all so nice and gave us directions for all the things we wanted to see and do. We then headed to harvest some sunflowers and do some shopping. We all had so much fun! read more

I spent the morning here with some of my girl friends. We went too late in the season to pick apples, but still had a great time! The apple cider donuts and apple cider were so delicious! It's rare that I get to have a donut so fresh. We also went over to the farm side and enjoyed walking through the sunflower patch and buying fresh vegetables. Fruit picking at Apple Annie's Orchard was a fun experience for the whole family!! We turned it into a day trip and droves down from the valley... a long trip but it was a cool experience! Our toddler (almost 2) had a fantastic time looking for and picking apples while we also enjoyed it ourselves. Be sure to wear sun covering and SPF protection... it can turn into quite a bit of walking and you definitely want to make sure you're well hydrated and protected. Such a fun adventure a little over a hour from Tucson! Apple Annie's is 3 "locations " separated by a few miles each. One of them is just the store where you can buy jams, butters , cider, and pies and other bakery goods. The fruit orchards is a u-pick adventure with various delicious fruit ( today we stocked up on Asian pears, Granny Smiths and golden delicious). They have a little store with fudge, sell cider donuts, slushies, kettle corn, burgers and hotdogs. Ample outdoor seating to enjoy food purchases. They provide wagons and fruit picker tool. The 3rd location is the produce and pumpkin area- except you get to go pick veggies. There is a store there as well. In both the u-pick areas you pay per pound. They also have produce and fruit that has already been picked that you have to choose from. One of my favorite things to get there is the fresh sweet corn! They also have a corn maze at the produce location. In a nutshell- fun experience to do with kids, friends, or even alone if you want some time in nature. Plus you get to bring home some delicious fresh veggies or fruits. Definitely worth a visit... or in my case... visits. read more

A much needed trip to Wilcox for apple butter as I dropped my son's other unopened jar that was brought to him. Not to busy as it was Sunday. They still had plenty of apples for picking, the fudge room was hopping, and the most juicy hamburgers from the Apple Annie's grill made a long trip worth the drive. A cute little gift shop finished off the trip with cute wall hangings, stuffed critter and many other gifts. Apple butter in hand back to Tucson. We didn't get a chance to go to the produce farm, we will save that for the next time. This is a great day trip event to do with or without children. Love Apple Annie's! read more

If you are traveling with a pet this is not the place to visit. The owner, John I believe his name was, informed me that not only was my chihuahua, who was in a stroller, not welcome in the fields, that I couldn't take her in any of their stores unless I left her in the stroller outside by herself. So, if you're passing through Willcox and you have a pet and you want to stop there, I wouldn't even bother. read more

Very cute, lots of parking. Has a restroom that was clean. Workers are very nice, you can get some great pies cooked or uncooked or a slice with or without ice cream. The crumble was delicious!! The grill they have is closed during the week... so besides some desserts bring your own food. We came too late, apples were already harvested. But it is still a nice place to check out. They have two different farm sites. The apple orchard, where you can get everything apple products, popcorn and donuts. The other farm has all the veggies and pumpkins, where you can ride the hayride. And go to the corn maze. Having driven by Apple Annies numerous times on I-10, we decided to take a 250-mile RV trip just to visit during their fall harvest celebrations. We arrived early to enjoy their special advertised breakfast, pancakes "topped with the most dreamy apple cider topping," according to their Facebook page, but what we got were buttermilk pancakes, sausage, and a large jug of Log Cabin on the serving counter, with no apple topping to be found anywhere. (We could've had that at Denny's.) We bought a box of their "apple cider donuts," but they were just... fresh cinnamon donuts, with no vestige of apple flavoring at all. The hayride was pleasant, the farm atmosphere was bracing, the employees were cheerful and polite, and they certainly have produce up the wazoo for you to buy. We bought several condiments and comestibles from their on-site shop, and we're trusting hard that they came with the flavors advertised on the labels. read more

What a disappointment. We drove 3 hours for the apple picking experience, but NOTHING on their website said there were NO apples to pick. What they do is try to sell you apples that look and feel terrible. The best part was that we were with family, but we could have barbecue at home with a much better experience. They need to update their website instead of luring people over to sell their $2.50/ea donut or their $22.00 bag of kettle corn. Total waste of time. No apples to be had. We visited on 10/10/25 and they were advertising three varieties of apples, including pink lady, as well as Asian pears. Well, after 30 minutes of walking up and down the rows of apple trees we couldn't find a single apple! The only ones available were on the rows roped off with signs saying do not pick. After that we headed over to the Asian pears- same story! Nothing! Unless you want to pick off the ground which some people were doing out of desperation. I have not been here in a few years as we've had small kids in the home and for pumpkin patches, we go to one closer to home as it is more child friendly. However--now the youngest is a teen, we made the drive to Apple Annie's for their sunflower fields. It is really so beautiful! Row after row==so many photo opportunities. We also went to the bakery and stocked up on some family faves of Apple Cider donuts, apple bread and pumpkin bread. ohhhhh so good! It was a nice day trip from Phoenix, about a 4 hour drive. We started at the orchard to pick apples and grabbed some lunch from the Orchard Grill. The burgers were nice and fresh, in our opinion very worth the $10.99 cost of the meal (comes with chips and a pop). And it's beef from their actual farm! After the apple picking, we stopped by the bakery to get their famous donuts and peach slushies. Neither disappointed and I totally agree with the hype. After a few hours on that side of the farm, we drove to the pumpkin patch. $5 a person for a 5 minute hayride to the pumpkin patch from the front stand is a bit of a stretch but if you've got pumpkin patch money then I guess it's really not that absurd. Their little market is cute and the fresh eggs are a VALUE DEAL. Farm eggs for $4/dz?! Can't find that in the grocery stores. I've read a previous reviewer say that the pot farm across the street ruins the vibe but beyond the parking lot, you can't really smell it. We'd love to visit again and would recommend it to others looking for Fallsy stuff to do within a day trip from Phoenix. read more

Came here with a group of friends and we had a great time! We picked apples and pears and the price per pound was really reasonable. There were tons of fruit on the trees. We got cider and donuts and everything was delicious! They were cleaning the tables and the apple pickers often which was very reassuring. There's also a sink with soap that's powered by a foot pump by the picnic tables and I really liked this feature. I'd love to return. read more

I've lived in Tucson for 20 years and finally just made it to Apple Annie's for the first time. What a fun place! It was a good 10 degrees cooler than it was in Tucson, so this is a great place for a skimmer day trip (I still recommend getting there early.) We had some delicious snacks- I highly recommend the peach donuts and watermelon or peach slushies with chamoy- and brought home some tasty treats from the fudge shop, which has way more than just fudge. Salsa, pickled veggies, pies, cheese and just about anything you'd want to find in a country store. After we left the orchard, we headed over to the produce area to pick up some freshly picked green beans and corn. They were also selling slow roasted sweet corn and it was amazing. Don't skip this part! There were dozens of seasonings to choose from and the corn was insanely juicy and tender. Service was good at both locations and the orchard and pumpkin patch were lovely- so lush and green. Apple Annie's is great, and with a calendar full of festivals and special events, I'm sure I'll be making a return trip soon. read more

The setup here isn't the best. The prices for "you pick" are pretty steep and the same goes for the food. It's mediocre but they're charging prices like they're a restaurant. While the pies and sweets are delicious, you'll definitely spend $100 here easy on produce, lunch, pie, drinks etc. plan on eating beforehand unless you're specially coming here to try the sweets like pie or donut. $8 for a kids hot dog meal with literally a hot dog and small bag of chips is robbery. $5 would be a better price point and they'd still be making more than double in profit. $8 for a half dozen donuts? Cmon. Definitely a visit once to get the gist of it kind of place. Not somewhere you'll likely go more than twice in a year. read more

My partner and I originally are from the Midwest where orchards are pretty abundant, so our bar for a pick-your-own place is pretty high. Apple Annie's delivers, making it worth the two hour scenic drive from our house. Before you head out - call the hotline to see what's available and check the weather. If it's going to be wet or if you're not going to get there until it's already 100 degrees, pick another day! While the trees make some shade, you'll need sunscreen and a hat. Be aware that you need to look where you walk. In the orchard, you may encounter biting ants or snakes. We have encountered the former personally. If you have boxes from a prior visit, it's a good idea to recycle them. The orchard charges a nominal fee for new boxes, and the fruit is sold by weight. We already made two trips this season and likely will make one more. On our first trip, the orchard had just opened for peach season. The grill and pie window weren't open, but we didn't mind since we almost had the place to ourselves. The same gentleman who has driven the tractor/wagon since we first started visiting three years ago pointed out two varieties that were ready, and we had three boxes full (about 60 pounds!) in 20 minutes. The same driver picked us up and brought a wagon over at the drop-off point so we could wheel our goodies to the checkout. While we gifted one box of this delicious fruit to friends, we made yummy jam and fruit cobbler out of the rest. We made our second trip a week ago and snagged a box of O'Henry peaches, which were as large as softballs. This time, a greeter met us with fresh popcorn as we walked in from the parking lot. We grabbed a cart and waved to the tractor driver, who pointed us the right direction for our fruit. In addition to the peaches, we picked a box of Red Delicious Apples, as well as a box of Bartlett and Asian pears. Because the apples are planted away from the peaches and pears, it took two of us about 35 minutes to pick 60 pounds. It's pretty quick work when the trees are full and the fruit is of high quality. The pie window also was open, so we had dessert before lunch! I had a slice of peach, and my partner had apple crumb. Both were delicious! The only improvement I can suggest is additional indoor toilets. Currently, there are a few single seaters, which just isn't enough during the Peach Mania and Apple Harvest events. Kids loved walking around and picking there own fruits. We came from 3 hours away, not much to do just pick fruits. Only bad thing we had to deal with was customer service we were in line for the food and they didn't have an open or close sign and everyone was lining up and the kids working in there didn't even try to open the window and say they were closed they just kept staring and talking. Beware. I just took my mom and kids over the weekend. They don't list the price of their corn for you pick on their website. I thought since there wasn't a price listed at all that it was the same price as the already picked price, so I let my kids go to town with 24 ears of corn. I didn't receive my emailed receipt until after we left. I was charged $72. The ears are also much smaller. Once I prepped and freeze dried the corn, I got a whopping 96oz in volume, not weight (mason jars). I attempted to get this worked out via phone today and was told in a nutshell that they would not adjust the pricing and I'm stuck with the cost. read more

Very disappointed in the peaches especially after we traveled 103 miles just to get Apple Annie's peaches for us and our daughter. The peaches we purchased was pre picked as we are senior citizens and could not pick our own. The peaches on top of the four boxes we purchased appeared fine, but when we got home the ones underneath were way over ripe to the point our fingers went through them when we picked them up. To be absolutely truthful the trash can got more peaches then we did. Such a disappointment after years of going there for peaches. But on a high note the green beans, green tomatoes and corn we purchased were delicious. read more

Walking through the orchards while eating hot fresh apple doughnuts was a nice break from reality. We didn't really partake in the Apple picking as we showed up an hour before closing time. There's also an elaborate corn maze nearby, but one would need at least 4 hours to navigate through. I haven't been in years but wanted to take my children. Everything was closed with no notice online, the apples on the trees were rotting. We left the orchard and decided to go veggie picking. Snacks and corn maze were over priced so we picked some veggies and decided to stop for lunch at the little country store before heading home. I had heard of Apple Annie's Orchard for a while and finally went on a spontaneous date. I had a lot of fun and really loved the fruit I picked. I went around the beginning of October, end of September and the fruit we got were apples, peaches, and some pear. I have to say, these were probably the best pears I've ever had in my life. They were incredibly juicy and sweet. The green apples were super good too. To pick the fruit, Apple Annie's provides fruit pickers, wagons, and boxes. It was really convenient having these things available, and made it a lot easier to transport the fruit. Besides picking fruit, my partner and I also got slices of pie. He got an old fashioned apple pie while I got an apple pie crumble. Both were yummy!! They had many other options to choose from. If only I could try them all.... Overall, I had a great time at Apple Annie's. It made for a fun date and was something "different" to do. This is also a fantastic place for families to enjoy. It's nice being able to touch, smell and pick your own fruit. It makes you appreciate the food a lot more than you would feel just buying it at the store. I have been hearing about Apple Annie's for five years since I moved to Tucson. My daughter is four and I decided I would take her up there for a day to check it out. It wasn't super hot the day we went and we had an awesome time. The fruit prices are a little bit high like I would say around two dollars a pound which can add up really fast. (My box came out to 38 dollars!) It really was delicious fruit though. Also you can bring your own box if not they charge a dollar for one. All of the employees were super nice and helpful because I didn't even know where to begin never having been there before. They had a grill restaurant area but it was closed which was kind of a disappointment because I really was looking forward to trying some of their food but it was an oddball weekday that we went. I'm planning on going back for the fall things they have going on. Also there can be a ton of bees depending on where you're at so just beware of that :-) Inside the country store the ladies were so sweet and offered us samples of fudge. They have a lot of different kinds of spreads and breads In there but prices were definitely "premium", still very nice stuff and we bought some things to take home. I went here for their wine tasting corn maze last night and had so much fun. We didn't read the instructions so got a bit lost but figured it out by the end. We didn't time it but it probably took between 30mins-1hr to go through. I recommend brining a flashlight and light jacket. You can stick around and buy more wine by the glass or bottle when you are done. The food vendor they had gave 2 choices for their dinner plate with either chicken or brisket. The sides were mac and cheese, corn and and a roll. They were really good. It was $15. read more

The first time I went here was 2 years ago. It was amazing. My family had a lot of fun. I even bought more than 50 lbs of asian pears. They were so good. This second time I came back was very disapointed. I came back exactly the time of fall break as first time. I checked their website before heading to the farm because I am living in Phoenix, 3.5 hours away. Their website said they are out of peach, pear and apple are very lightly. Yes I understand. But there was NOTHING to pick at all. NO PEAR AT ALL, VERY VERY LESS APPLE. They should notice on their website or at least close the farm. I took 3.5 hours to get their and NOTHING to pick.
