We just wanted to do the corn maze, so we headed over there to buy our tickets. You can also buy a combination ticket for the hayride and corn maze if you prefer. It's pretty hot here, and given the lack of shade, I highly recommend sunscreen or hat. The corn maze wasn't necessarily challenging, but it can take a while to get through, so definitely be prepared for that. There are differing levels, though you can do an easy one, more intermediate one, or a challenge one. We did the intermediate one and it took us about 30 minutes. It was a fun way to spend the morning and definitely worth the drive from Tucson.

Upon entering I was immediately smitten with the architecture and customer experience, including the same brickwork I was surprised to see in local homes as I wandered through town, well-worn hardware floors that would tell quite a history if they could talk, nostalgic black and white photographs of old town Safford, and the most amazing selection of locally made olive oil and assorted sundries. I ordered an Arizona panini and a large iced Americano. The panini was a bit smaller than I expected, but it more than made up for that in the freshness of the ingredients and the remarkable southwestern taste. The Americano was perfect, well-pulled espresso shots, not too strong nor too weak. If you're searching for an excellent coffee, this is your place! While I'm sitting here writing this review, uploading RAW photos to my editor, and saving an incredible Americano, my eyes are happily wandering over the items for sale, placed tastefully throughout the store allowing for casual shopping without pressure. I'll take home a bottle of sun dried tomato olive oil, if they have it, and perhaps an assortment of The Naked Bee bath products for my wife. I had stayed away from that one for a while and just went back for a few quick items. The cashier named CJ was aggressively shoving items away from her after after she scanned them. One of the items rang up with the non-sale price (which happens all the time), and she openly mocked me for questioning it. After a lot of unnecessary back and forth she told me she had corrected it, and when I got home the receipt still had the wrong price on it. As I was walking away from her register, she was clearly talking about me to the next customer in line and they laughed and watched as me and my son walked out the door. I've read other reviews where employees say they are treated poorly by the company. Maybe being rude to customers is the way they get back at Safeway....?
