We really do try to support small businesses in our community so when we decided to eat out we opted for Big T BBQ. The flavor of the brisket and sauce was tasty. It's always good to try different places around town. The folks were very upbeat and pleasant. I recently visited Big T and had a less than positive experience. So I posted an unfavorable review. The owner reached out to me and requested I come see him so he could make things right. He even went so far as to post my name on their outside message board! (See photo) I went back and spoke with Kim, who was awesome! It's very rare these days that an owner would take the time to reach out like Tom did. The smoked meatloaf sandwich is so good and their burgers are awesome. I was on my way back to Seattle from Portland. I looked on yelp to find a decent place for a hamburger and found this place had a good rating. I used my gps and even though this place was out of the way I thought I would try it. When I walked in the place the lady in the kitchen acknowledged me and said hello and welcome. She was happy to take my order. I asked if I could have a hamburger with an egg and she said she could do that. I'm not sure if that was on the menu because I saw a guy go to the store and come right back with fresh eggs. I was very impressed with how I was treated. Everything I've had there is good. My husband loves the ribs. They have good potato salad too.

They need to step up their coleslaw game, but everything else (ribs, brisket, meatloaf, bbq pork, baked beans & onion rings) were really good. I would particularly come back for the meatloaf and onion rings. And the tartar sauce was good, no sweet relish :P read more

Moving from the southeast, i haven't found a whole lot of good barbecue out here in Washington. This place, however, is delicious and meets all the expectations of my little southern heart. My burger, the ultimate cheeseburger, was melt in your mouth delicious, cheese and sauce oozing, with the perfectly crisp but soft falling apart bun- just how I like my burgers. Messy and tasty. It came with all the extras: bacon, onions, pickles tomato and lettuce. The fries are thinly sliced, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My husband got the ribs, which were also wonderful. After devouring my burger in 3 minutes I was off to help him with his ribs. Tender, meaty, and the sauce is smokey and citrusy. Next time in driving through I'll make the extra trip off the highway for this place! The seating is quaint. 3 tables and a bar. Very homey feel with cute decorations. Decent food. No restroom though. When I asked if they had a restroom she said "no, but yes. " I thought if you have indoor seating you had to have one available. ‍ Meat loaf sandwich was good, pulled pork was terrific. They were out of brisket. No ambiance whatsoever. What a wonderful meal! We shared the sampler dinner and had leftovers. Like another review mentioned all meat. The brisket was shredded with no fat chunks! I'm used to slices of brisket with half of it fat and not much meat to eat. The brisket, pork and meatloaf were all tasty and moist. This is the best place for amazing American bbq food. We need our animal protein for sure! Big Ts is ALWAYS delicious no matter what you order on the menu you are going to get a fabulous delicious meal and homemade and home smoked stuff. Tom has the smoker right outside the building. The main course meats are top tier and also the sides you can get the potato salad is delicious and home made and always fresh everything fresh and high quality food. My dad and I went here last week and had the meatloaf sandwich and the brisket sandwich. Both were really great. The portions were plenty and the quality was there. If you go here, definitely try the meatloaf sandwich. It tasted like a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, but better. If you ever had a bad experience here, go back again. Tom's place is incredible. He has something for everyone and always adds a special touch. The BBQ is something that can hold its own even against deep south BBQ. We're lucky to have Big T's in the area because nothing else compares. I'll tell you the truth. It's a tiny little spot of nothing on the map, but once you've found it, you feel like you've found a huge gold nugget in an endless bed of gravel. When the dine in was open, there was maybe three tables inside. You expect less than nothing by the outside looks of the place. But let me tell you... one bite of one off his burgers... one nibble of a bbq rib and you're never going to forget his food. My husband and I don't go out much. We always cook at home. But on those rare occasions we do, its usually because we are traveling somewhere or headed back after say an evening of shopping etc. My favorite thing to do is hit Toms on a Friday night when he has his full racks ready. Then, I'm totally terrible because I usually get a couple of full racks for the weekend (because they are the bomb reheated) and a couple of burgers for right then. Now I'll be forthright in saying there are a few things I don't like about Tom's place. One is that the beverage selection is terrible. You get canned pop or bottled water. I get it. Its not about the beverage, but its about the food. So I understand it... but I'd love me some sweet tea to go with the BBQ. Those of you who've spent any time down south totally get that. And I'll admit his coleslaw is nothing to write home about. It's not bad.. its just not up to par like the rest of his food is. There's a woman... I forget her name... who makes KILLER tater salad for him (or used too). If you have a choice on the sides, skip the slaw and grab for the potato salad. It's quadruple yummy. I highly recommend the deep fried mushrooms too. Also, I'm incredibly sad he no longer has his man-burger feast thing on the menu. It was this towering creation of man verses burger that had multiple layers and was roughly twelve inches tall. I kid you not. I have incredible facebook memories of the bee club boys all trying to scarf down these towering burgers with their bbq layers, fried eggs, multiple patties and cheese skirts. My husband would get one every time we went, and whines now that he can't have one and settles for something lesser... a double with everything on it that's only six or eight inches tall instead. Knowing Big T himself though... you can probably get one of these monsters by special order for a special occasion prearranged... but that's just me guessing. Lewis County lost a legend when that particular burger was wiped off the menu. Someone should and probably would have erected a frigging bronze statue in its honor.... it was THAT good. Anyhow. Go have some Big T's. It's really worth it. read more

Great food. Great prices. Great people. The sandwiches we had were so good. The bbq is so tasty and the cute dine in area was spotless. We had the French dip, brisket sandwich and the smoked meatloaf. Youngest had the chicken strip basket and was pleased. It's a bit out of the way as we were at the outlets and decided to make the 7 minute drive. So glad we made that decision. We will be back when we are in the area again. read more

This was soooo good. We came for my mom's birthday and I was amazed. I got the french dip with fries. The fries are hand cut and have that amazing homemade feel to them. The french dip was better than expected, tender and juicy, and the au jus was delish. Too much food to finish for me. Other members of our party got the brisket sandwich, slaw, and onion rings; all very yummy. The service was also excellent. They brought our food out to the picnic tables and even came back with ketchup because we had forgotten it. You're not going to get better, more authentic BBQ in this area.
