Rather it is broadly American, with items from New York cuisine, Tex Mex cuisine, southern American cuisine, and others. I had a cheeseburger and fries and also tried the eggs Benedict. The burger was exceptionally well cooked, juicy and tender, but perhaps a bit underseasoned. The fries were similarly underseasoned but well cooked, just like the burger. The eggs were pretty good but nothing spectacular. Prices are very high and perhaps a little too high considering quality and portion size. Overall a good experience at Main St. Deli but one that I wouldn't recommend going too far out of your way to try.

You'll find beers from 'round the world here, including a few Belgians and one of my favorite standbys, Wells Banana Bread beer. I tried the burger recently which paled in comparison to the one you can get at the neighboring Jockey, but it's still a solid burger. It's reasonably priced, with pasta dishes costing around HKD130, and a full 1/2 roast chicken HKD190, but could do with being a bit better prepared. On a visit today, starters were fab, the calamari was fried to perfection in a crispy light bater, and actually featured some large pieces of squid, the duck spring rolls were again large, very tasty, and worthy of sharing. These sharing type of starters were around HKD130. Unfortunately the mains were a bit blah. The roasted chicken was dry and a bit small, the pastas were perfectly fine, but their sauces felt a bit out of a jar, the cauliflower cheese was not cooked enough. The crab and avocado salad main was very good though, perfectly ripe avocado, but could do with being a bit bigger. The service was a bit blah too. Drinks took a very long time to come, wine measures were scant (we had to actually send a glass back to ask that they actually put some wine in it). Getting the attention of the staff was OK, but then getting them to deliver on any request was tricky. They seemed to be on auto-pilot most of the afternoon, so it took a few pokes to get them moving. All in all, a perfectly nice place to go for an easy Saturday lunch. It's not mind blowing good, but you know that you're going to get a decent standard. The prices are a bit high given the food is just ok, but that's the western premium carried over from soho. It's not as good as Hard Rock Cafe or BLT burger. Ruby Tuesday in Hong Kong is general cost twice as much as the U.S. Well rent is probably more than twice in this case. $228 for Quesadillas, $368 for Aged Sirloin, $448 for Wagyu steak, $218 for beef lasagna.
