Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... I'm not sure even where to begin. Let me try to paint you the picture the best I can for you. Let me start of by saying, I am visiting my son from California and was really hoping to satisfy my craving for southern BBQ. Sadly, that didn't happen here.
We arrived around 7pm after finding this place on Yelp.I wanted to try a new southern restaurant rather than one I've been to in the past. We walked in and stood there patiently waiting for several minutes without even an acknowledgement. The set up itself is a bit awkward as there was a small table in the walkway next to the soda machine and very close to the beer rack where there is a huge display of local beers for sale with only 1 chair that seemed to be more than out of place. I continue to look around hoping to make eye contact with one of the two ladies that was working so we can hopefully seated, but neither are acknowledging us. About this time, another lady walks in, past us to get to the waitress to ask how long the wait is. She responds, "Oh maybe 5 minutes. Let us just clear off the table for you." And then the waitresses heads to the back. As the waitress comes back, I explain to her that we have been waiting to be seated and that we had arrived before the party they were about to sit. The waitress apologizes and asked how many in our party. I say (2). So where do you think she sat us? You guessed it! At the weird awkward, out of place table with only one chair and gets another chair from outside. I wasn't thrilled with the table seating as it felt we were in the walkway and blocking a portion of the beers that were for purchase, but hey let's make the best out of a bad situation right?!
Moving forward, at this point we have now been at the restaurant for at least 20 minutes. The bartender/waitress took our drink order and brought us some menu's. She informed us they had ran out of pork. Hmmm ok, well I don't eat beef or pork so as long as you have chicken still I'm good. She says she will give us a few minutes to look over the menu and would bring us back some water, in which she did.
The menu is fairly simple. 5 entrees, well 4 since they were out of pork. We made our selection with a few minutes and couldn't wait to eat. Ten minutes goes by and no sign of the either of the 2 ladies coming to take our order. I have already looked at the menu online so there wasn't a need for an abundance amount of time, especially when the menu is fairly simple. Once again, I am trying to make eye contact, and at one point tried to waive over the bartender/waitress which was unsuccessful. Finally, the other waitress comes and asks if we are ready. Most definitely we are!! Famished at this point!! Excited though, because I have been waiting all day for this. I chose... yes you guessed it, the chopped chicken entree!! And then the bomb hits and this happens....wait for it....... the waitress says, "I'm sorry we are all out of chicken!!!" "What", excuse me. I thought you were only out of pork?" She responds, "Yes we ran out of pork earlier, and he (she points to him) just brought some back, but now we are out of chicken." Welp, you can probably imagine how disappointed I was at this point. Are you kidding me? I have been here for at least 30 minutes and now you don't have chicken either. How does this happen?
Needless to say, my son and I got up at this point and left. Between the location, the set up of the restaurant, and poor management, i walked away beyond disappointed = ( read more
