Arrived on a Saturday to a steady stream of customers. Ordered the original and Italian cheesesteak and chili cheese fries. While the original was descent, the Italian was incredible. My wife got it and I was jealous. Layered with pepperoni, parm cheese and cheesesteak was awesome. It pains me to do this review, but they have left me no choice. The Original Cheesesteak sandwich is EVERYTHING. But I've been craving it for over a week and they just don't open anymore. It was hard enough working around their very limited schedule (they close at 5 and most people don't get off work until then or later). Now I've gone 3 separate on the days and times they're supposed to be there and they're closed. The food is delicious and the service is great, it's so sad they will lose loyal customers because they just pick and choose when they want to be open. My husband and I are huge advocates of small business and black owned business, but I just can't recommend a place that may or may not be open during regular business and meal time hours. After being in Hemet for close to 2 years, I am kicking myself that I am just now trying it out! I came in solo for lunch and ordered a chicken cheese steak with peppers and lettuce! OMG it was so tasty and huge! There are no lack of portions here! Big Daddy was super friendly and happy to have a first time customer. I violated a rule I've always had about even going into restaurants with dirty windows but I thought I'd give Big Daddy's a try. Should have obeyed my rule. We bought some take-out - 2 sandwiches and a couple sides. The cheesesteak sandwiches were authentic in that there was a squirt of "cheese-wiz" type stuff on each although the last time I was in Philly most people were opting for actual cheese slices instead of the original liquid cheese. The meat was over salted and not especially tasty. The roll was chewy - like maybe day-old. The French fries were typical reconstituted frozen crinkle cut blah. If you love barbecue from down south, this is from I think Cincinnati or somewhere else, they have a variety of good food. My favorite is the catfish, one thing that slows me from going there a lot is the prices I would go broke with the high prices. Lived in the area for a year now and this is the best food place I have found so far. My husband and I visited this last Friday afternoon and both agree that this food is AMAZING!!! We got the cheesesteak sub, meatball sub, onion rings, fries with cheesewiz. Food was super fresh and tasty. The onion rings were the most crunchiest flavorful I have ever had in my life. Owner gave us a meatball to sample on way home, that was awesome!!!! The cheesewiz was great, had the right heat and the sweet pepper relish is spot on. Some of the best tasting food hands down. I got a pepperoni pizza steak ( it's a philly thing) and I almost cried it was so good i live in temecula and I had to go to court and spotted this place.
