This is hands down my ALL-TIME FAVORITE Italian sub spot! I've been coming here for years, and the…read moresandwiches never disappoint! My personal favorites are the Saverino's Sub, the Rocky Balboa, and of course, the NY Steak Sub! If you know, you KNOW! The subs are delicious, packed with flavor, and the reason I keep coming back! Now, as much as I love the food, I have to be honest about my most recent experience because this time around was NOT what I'm used to. Unfortunately, the customer service at the register was disappointing. The lady taking our order was not welcoming, didn't smile once, and came across as rude. We specifically explained that one of the sandwiches needed to be made without anything spicy because the person eating it couldn't tolerate spicy food. Instead of letting us know that the capicola is spicy, she responded with an attitude, saying something along the lines of, "It's ham, what do you mean?" That response was completely unnecessary! As someone who has worked as a waitress for over 20 years and is now a small business owner myself, I understand how important customer service is. You're not just taking an order; you're helping customers understand the menu, explaining ingredients, and making sure they know what they're ordering. If someone tells you they cannot have spicy food, that's your opportunity to inform them about the ingredients, not make them feel uncomfortable for asking a question! What made the experience even more disappointing was noticing that she seemed much friendlier toward the men than she was toward us. I can't say why, but the difference in how we were treated definitely stood out. The only friendly thing she said was "Have a nice day," and honestly, I couldn't even tell if it was directed at us or if she was just happy to see us leave. I will absolutely continue coming back for the subs because the food is THAT GOOD! But I truly hope management takes customer service into consideration because a great sandwich deserves great service, too! At the end of the day, customers should feel welcomed and respected, whether they're ordering a simple sandwich or asking questions about the ingredients. I love supporting local businesses, but the customer experience matters just as much as the food! The subs? The customer service this time? Definitely room for improvement! 2 stars because hospitality should be a priority!

Super yummy shrimp cocktail, beef barley soup, and warm dinner rolls on Sat. 6/20. Excellent…read moreservice in the bar area. Suggestions: for the nightly specials on the white grease boards in the lobby and bar areas, please list the PRICES next to the assorted specials......Or, make up printed hand-outs to give to the guests as they are seated, as no one wants to have the server go thru each one by one to get that info. Suggestion #2: have a set soup for each day of the week, so that we customers don't have to call up and ask each night to find out what's what. For Example: Wed......chicken Noodle, Thursday......split pea,......Friday....clam chowder......Sat.....beef barley......Sunday.....abondigos..... .

So, tonight we wanted to have a 'nicer' dinner and wow, we were blown away. I made a reservation, so happy that I did, the place was packed at 6:15. They've restored my faith in a good steak (I grew up on Midwest beef, hard to live up to that). My steak was melt in your mouth, juicy and so flavorful. My hubby can't eat beef right now so he had the Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled shrimp. It was very good as well. The only 2 draw backs in the entire meal: his shrimp were a tad over cooked (it's a steak house so we gave them a little room for error) and the potato/corn chowder was very bland and had almost zero corn. It was more like potato/milk gravy. Very thick. I would stay away from the chowder and order a salad instead. But the steak and pasta were amazing. The calamari app was also one of the best I've had. Normally you only get that good a calamari at the beach... well done! My margarita was tasty and all of the sides were delish and the carrot cake was very good. All in all, i think we'd give it an 8 1/2. We will definitely be back, I saw so many items on the menu that I would like to try. Try it for yourself.
