Getting Right To the Point: - WILDLY OVERPRICED - MEDIOCRE FOOD. I've said this before and it is worth stating again: I always have a problem whenever I pay for food that I could have made better myself. If it is a matter of convenience, I could even understand that you may pay a little more (e.g. Starbucks McDonald's, etc.). At Shake Shack, we paid $60 for a family of three. We ordered a Shack Burger, Chicken Burger and a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Sides were a Onion Rings, Fries and a shake. For the same food at Red Robin, this comes out to approximately $45, for better food and larger quantities. My burger literally fit into the palm of my hand. The chicken sandwich was dry. The rest was OK, but not great. Overall - Red Robin, Famous Dave's and Applebee's easily win over Shake Shack. THE BOTTOM LINE: We would have happily paid $60 for the food. The problem being that, if you're going to charge premium costs, you had better "bring it" with the food. Mind you: right next door is Sosogu Ramen & Japanese BBQ, Amoi Mok Mok, J Riley and the Redlands Public Market - all of whom have better food for lower prices. With average ratings of 3.5 across the board in all locations, I just don't see Shake Shack keeping up with the competition - but this is merely a personal observation. I've been to quite a few Shake Shack locations and this one is just as solid. The restaurant was super clean and the workers were friendly and welcoming. We ordered a shack burger with caramelized onions, a double shack burger, and the new west coast fries. I actually preferred the regular shack with crispy onions since the caramelized onions made it feel a little heavier. The west coast fries were good but it was a little heavy. The tropical mango shake was definitely my favorite. It was refreshing with the perfect amount of tartness. The tropical mango lemonade was also really refreshing. Her cucumber drink was very good ($5 for a small) but my $8 mango shake with passionfruit boba was disappointing. It tasted like a tall cup of cool whip. I couldn't taste any mango flavor. Took 2 sips and that was it. It wasn't cheap but didn't want all those cool whip calories I couldn't enjoy. It wasn't dry, so that wasn't unpleasant to chew on, but the BBQ sauce was too sweet and had that store-bought BBQ flavor. If it wasn't for the store-bought awful BBQ sauce, I would have enjoyed it more. The cole slaw was barely on it. Not even a full spoonful, maybe just sprinkled on top. Cole slaw wasn't bad, but it was such a ridiculously tiny amount. There were three large sliced pickles in it, which seemed to take over the whole sandwich. The bun wasn't even heated up and was served cold. At the very least the bun wasn't dry. But disappointing for the price! SHACK BURGER Got the single. It was okay. The bun was cold, but the patty was hot with the melted cheese. There was too much shack sauce on it and with the American cheese, it was too much for a single patty. CHEESE FRIES The crinkle fries were crispy golden on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The cheese sauce is always good with the fries. I would get these again at this location. The only redeeming item that I ordered today. SPARKLING CUCUMBER BASIL This was syrupy in taste. Could barely taste the cucumber or the basil. Could taste a bit of lemon flavor. Nobody would be able to say what it is if they blindtested it. Waste of money. SELF-ORDER KIOSKS AVAILABLE Ordered via kiosk, but you can also order at the front register. No issues with the kiosks. CUSTOMER SERVICE Really good customer service! The staff was friendly and there was one specific staff member who was taking orders at the front register, bringing orders to customers and checking in with them during meals. AMBIANCE / SEATS + TABLES Large location. Lots of tables and seats indoors and outdoors. Perfect for large parties. Everything was clean too. The bathroom is clean and there are three stalls. It is code access only. PARKING Located inside a medium-sized strip mall. It's nearly packed when I was there, so there might be parking issues during the evening. I did not have any issues finding parking in front of Shake Shack during the day. Other than the crinkle fries, all the other items were average at best. It's great to have a Shake Shack in Redlands and this location is clean and spacious. There are plenty of seats inside, as well as in the patio. This Shake Shack (SS) is located in the former Corner Bakery in the Vons and Trader Joe's shopping plaza, just south of the 10 freeway on Orange St in Downtown Redlands. I usually will place an order through my SS app and do a pick up. They have some parking spaces assigned for app pick up - although I don't see many people following this rule. And they also have kiosks to place your own orders, as well as regular cash registers to place orders with an employee. I'm pretty simple so I usually stick with the Shack Burger but I do love their cheese fries. Yum. During my last visit, I ordered a Coffee Shake and, to my surprise, I really enjoyed it. I brought my wife here so she could try Shake Shack for the first time--and that alone says a lot about the experience. She's not a hamburger person unless it's In-N-Out, so expectations were already high. We ordered the Smoke Shack, Shack Stack, fries, a shake, and a soda. To my surprise (and hers), she finished her entire burger and immediately said, "We should come back. I want to try other items on the menu." That's basically the highest compliment coming from her. The burgers themselves are solid. They are juicy, flavorful, and well put together. I've always liked Shake Shack, and this visit didn't change that. My only real gripe is the price. It's definitely on the pricey side for burgers and fries, which keeps it from being an everyday spot. The buns are soft, but not falling apart like some sad drive-thru mess. Fries were piping hot, crispy, and fluffy inside--actual effort went into them. The iced tea was surprisingly good. fresh, clean and cold. That shouldn't be rare in 2025, but here we are. I've been a patron of shake shack since they first came to the west coast. I use to get the smoke shack and the chicken sandwich is very popular item too. SS has a seasonal menu of shakes, rotating chicken sandwiches and burgers, fries which changes about every two months. What makes shake shack different mainly is they use potato buns & custard shakes. The Redlands location is the 2nd location in the IE. They offer a much bigger location than Rancho with different decor. The one thing missing from this location is TVs. Some of the other locations offer tv's playing sporting events which offers a nice dinning experience and kind of justifies more paying restraint prices for fast casual. I normally try a seasonal shake. For this trip I got a cherry blossom seasonal shake, black truffle fires seasonal & chicken sandwich. Cherry blossom shake was good, chicken sandwich never disappoints, the black truffle sauce was just okay. With the app sometimes they have buy one get one shakes from 2-5. This is the best value when using the app. The one major con is the prices and size of the sandwiches. SS by far is the most expensive burger chain. You could easily spend over 20 dollars per person if you get a drink, sandwich and fries each. It can be a challenge save money here aside from the shake deal in the app. Despite the expensive prices that have risen through the years. , somehow I keep coming back. They offer a nice experience with modern decor and if you don't mind paying a lot for fast casual food I think most people will like this place . read more

Newest Shake Shack in inland empire in my city! It's occupying the old corner bakery spot. There is ample seating inside and outside which is great. There is a wall to the left when you walk in with four screens to order yourself and there was one person working the register as well. If you dine inside, you grab a number to take to your table and one of the employees will bring out the food. I really appreciated the water station inside. It can be pricy to dine here but there is quality! We ordered the Portabella burger. It's a a deep fried portobello mushroom with melted Muenster cheese right in the center on top of a burger patty with some of the fixings and it was delicious, the OG Shackburger with tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese was tasty as well. The plain fries were just okay as was the chocolate shake with added malt. If you add malt or whipped cream to your shake, it is an extra cost. First, we went fairly later on a Monday night so it wasn't even busy, then we used the tablet to order, two were broken/frozen, then we went to go use one and it froze on us, so then we had to move to another one, only to find out 4 burger ingredients were out so we had to stick to basic burgers, then I added avocado, lettuce, & tomatoes to mine... not hard right? Wrong. First, I didn't think to check the burger before we left but we should have because they didn't give us one of our fries & a burger, then when they gave it to us, they handed it over with a bit of attitude when I told them they forgot two items. So we took our to go order home, only to find out when we got home, my burger was made wrong, as well as the patties in all burgers were paper thin & charred! This is NOT an exaggeration when I saw, the bacon was THICKER than the patty. They also forgot to put in my tomato slices, & the bacon cheese fries were smaller than regular fries and were cold! Not like luke warm, but cold.! The only thing that makes this place a two stars is that it's in DT Redlands, and clean & new. That's it. That little bit was $80 & we got 4 times less than what we would get an in n' out! We're sticking to in n' out for now on. Trash. Then when I tried to call, it wouldn't go through, then when I tried to contact through the website, I couldn't because this location isn't registered in the website yet! Going to the Midwest for graduate school and my wife to the east coast, Shake Shack was the best, baddest burger known to mankind. (My wife has always been team Shake Shack in comparison to In-N-Out) It has been a while since we had Shake Shack since moving to California but to have one open nearby was exciting! We already decided that Shake Shack for dinner on opening day. I ordered online to prevent long wait times. I arrived right on time and was welcomed with a nice open interior. In addition to having staff at the front, there were also there ordering kiosks. It was odd because they offered me mustard which is usually a sin in Shake Shack culture. We ordered the special of black truffle burger (Gruyère cheese with crispy onions and black truffle sauce) and black truffle shack stack [Gruyère cheese on top of a crisp-fried portobello mushroom (filled with Muenster and cheddar cheeses) with black truffle sauce]. We also couldn't resist the special chocolate Yule log shake. The cheeseburger and chicken bites for the kids area standard at this point. Of course, we also needed the fries with black truffle sauce. And what is Shake Shack without vanilla and chocolate custard? I wished we dined inside the restaurant because the wafting scent of Shake Shack almost intoxicated me on the drive home. My daughter thought the cheeseburger needed ketchup and without it, it was "just okay." My son actually ate all the chicken nuggets which is a good sign given that he's super picky. The burgers were absolutely delicious and am regretting not getting double patties. Honestly, the black truffle sauce was nice but it wasn't necessary. The energy and music are both good, but parking isn't (you're warned!!). It's great to have one of these locally. Hello Shake Shack, After passing by for about a month or so, I finally had the opportunity to stop and check it out. There was a young man setting n the patio area minding his own business, when i happened up and tapped him on the shoulder. I said to him, you must be a Shake Shack employee. He looked up with a smile and replied yes. My name is William, how can I help you? I explained that it was my first time coming in and did he have any suggestions. William lit up, he was most enthusiastic to give me the specifics as well as his opinion on the menu. His favs just happened to be mine. He had me so excited I was salivating and could not get inside fast enough to put n my order. The young girl at the counter greeted me with a big smile. Her name was Mia. I enquired about the sugar content of the different lemonades, Mia was very patient and knowledgeable. She also offered me a small sample. I ordered the Smoky classic double BBQ burger with pepperjack cheese. Fries and the Strawberry lemonade. The restaurant was clean, the kitchen was clean and neat and the employees seemed happy and friendly. Nice atmosphere and upbeat music. Mia brought my order to the table and it was after my second bite that I realized oh no pepperjack. Mia, immediately apologized and talked with her manager Arturo who was kind enough to correct the problem. I really enjoyed my entire meal that I was unable to finish. My eyes were bigger than my belly. But I have great left overs. I give this experience an A+ Great customer service with big smiles, kind hearts and best smash burgers. A bit pricey but worth it ! My dad wanted to try out the new Shake Shack that opened up in Redlands. The restaurant is nice, hip, and casual. There is indoor and a nice outdoor seating area. The service was friendly and efficient. You can wait in line to order or go to an e kiosk to order. I tried the chicken burger and taste it 4 stars ( but can't completely rate it because someone else in my group ate 55% of it before we noticed) my dad rated the burgers and fries 3 out of 5. My mom loved the veggie burger and rated it 4.5 out of 5. For my son the hot dog ( they don't have relish???) was ok. The portions are a little small, but really what shake shack is best known for are their shakes. Food has been hot and fresh each time. I went to shake shack for the first time. The burger I chose was the smoke house. My first bite was over powered by the cherry popper peppers that was applied to the burger extremely to heavy.
