Lemme tell ya somethin' right quick. Philly Franks ain't tryin' to impress nobody. This ain't no…read more"artisanal cheesesteak experience" with microgreens and a dude named Trevor explainin' the provenance of the beef. Nah. This is the kinda jawn where you walk in and immediately feel like you should've worn your good sweatpants. First thing you see is the Amarosa rolls sittin' there like a care package from home. Six packs. For the exiled East Coasters who been wanderin' the desert west lookin' for salvation. You grab one and whisper "Go Birds" under your breath like a prayer. But here's the kicker. The thing that made me sit back and whisper "holy jawn" to myself. They got water ice. Not "Italian ice." Not "shaved ice." Not "snow cones." Wuddir ice. A dozen flavors deep. A rainbow of frozen Philly childhood trauma therapy. Cherry that stains your lips like you just fought someone behind a Wawa. Mango that tastes like summer in Wildwood. Lemon that hits you with that perfect sour slap. Blue raspberry that should be illegal but isn't because God loves us. The dining room? Bro. It's a time capsule. A couple Rocky posters, a faded Eagles banner, and some Philly relics that look like they were stolen from a South Street pawn shop in 1998. Nobody's here for ambiance. The ambiance is the sound of the flat-top hissin' and some guy in a faded Brian Dawkins tee orderin' "two to tree" sangwidges like he's callin' plays at the Linc. And the cheesesteak? Best one west of the Mississippi, swear on my mother's gravy. Meat chopped proper, cheese melted like it's tryin' to hug you, onions sweatin' harder than a Cowboys fan in December. You grab a sack of these beauties, waddle out to your car, and eat 'em in the front seat like the feral Delco rat you truly are. Grease on the steering wheel. Roll crumbs on your hoodie. Tears in your eyes. Pure joy. By the time you're halfway through, you're poundin' the dashboard yellin' "BIRDS" at nobody. A stranger walks by and you nod at him like, yeah, we from the same tribe. He knows. You know. The universe knows. Five stars. This jawn healed somethin' in me I didn't know was broken.

Norther CA has a place called the The Cheese Steak Shop and I love their sandwiches. If you're familiar with The Cheese Steak Shop and want a cheesesteak sandwich like theirs keep looking.

Instead, I spent over $50 on two chicken cheesesteaks, cold fries, two fountain drinks, and donut holes -- and it was an absolute disaster. Let's start with the bread. It tasted like someone washed it, then smashed it and said, "Cook it up!" It was flat, soggy, and had none of the fresh, soft texture you'd expect from a real sandwich bun. The chicken cheesesteaks weren't even close to what was advertised. The cheese was melted terribly -- like a 4th grader's science project -- and the chicken had zero seasoning, with little to none on the bread. This was *not* the flavorful sandwich I was promised. The fries were cold, the donut holes were whatever because they lacked sugar, and the fountain drinks were the only part of this that weren't a letdown. But honestly, $50 for this? I could've gotten better food for half the price. I wanted to give this place a shot, but now I know better. Pardon My Cheesesteak clearly doesn't care about quality, and I'm definitely not coming back. Save your money and find something better.

Perfect for a couple like my husband & I, where he always prefers American food but I always want rice. Lots of parking. Not the prettiest inside, but everything was clean & the staff were very friendly. Although the boy at the register kept getting our order wrong. My hubby asked for the large 16" Philly, and even clarified twice, but was charged & given the small 8" one instead. He was also bummed that his Philly didn't come with fries, we thought it came with it since it wasn't clarified on the menu nor did the boy taking our order asked if we wanted fries with it. Nevertheless, my husband loved his Philly cheesesteak. Also, none of us asked for lumpia, but it was added to our order. It was a nice mistake tho because the pork lumpia was crispy & delicious. I also ordered both the lechon kawali & the tapsilog. The tapas in the tapsilog was delicious & had the perfect flavor. The lechon kawali could have been a little crisper, but my husband enjoyed that as well. We would definitely come back next time we're in town & craving Filipino & cheesesteaks.
