I'd like to thank Mike Porsche for helping me out in store…read more I've been a Hunter and fisherman for more than 10 years but every now and then you need some professional help. I went to my local Turners outdoorsman looking for an alternative option for an old Weaver scope on a 1960s Remington model 722 I was able to purchase a vortex triumph for a great deal, but the assistance of Mr. Mike was greatly appreciated because of how difficult it was to fit a brand new aeroscope onto an older style Remington. He was able to quickly assess what we may need for an adapter as well as the hardware needed to mount the scope. He was able to mount the scope to my Remington for me. Same visit. Everyone in store was very helpful. I'd like to thank them.

I came in on 4/25/2026 to take the FSC test. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and I…read morewas able to easily and efficiently complete the test. The 1-star rating comes from my experience at the gun counter to receive my certificate. I waited close to 45 minutes despite the store being almost empty. And during this 45-minute wait, one of the employees behind the gun counter flagged me and another gentleman multiple times while handling a 9mm pistol! This is unacceptable, especially since it was an employee. NEVER point a firearm at anything or anyone you are not willing to destroy, and it does not matter if it was accidental. One of the 4 basic safety rules of handling firearms and a Turner's employee working the gun counter broke that rule. If a manager of Turner's is reading this, please reach out to me. I would love to identify this employee for you.

Not to mention, the owner is often there and he is an Olympic badminton player who really knows his stuff about racquet sports. I came in looking for new badminton shoes and ended up nerding out over gear with the staff for over an hour. They have such a clean shop and setup with even a huge TV with live sports on all the time. This place is such a great spot to hang out if you are waiting for your racquet. Not to mention it felt really nice and comfortable since it has been extremely hot all week but they blast AC in the shop. I will be coming back for all of my badminton needs! Highly recommend!

LADIES!!! BUY YOUR GUNS HERE!!!…read more I was looking for a very specific gun that no stores seemed to carry. A female coworker told me about this store, so I thought I'd give them a chance. I am so glad I did. All the other stores I went to were full of male salesmen who were condescending because I was a woman buying my first gun. They kept trying to push tiny "purse" guns, and even pink guns. I wanted a Smith and Wesson revolver because it's a "dummy proof" gun, which is great for a novice. Ian at the Army Navy Store understood why I wanted this particular gun. He was patient, really listened to me, and answered all my questions. He was even willing to teach me about guns. He didn't have the gun in stock, but said that the following month he was going to Smith and Wesson to place his order for the year. He texted me while he was there!!! I was shocked he remembered me, let alone while he was in the middle of placing the order. Then a few weeks later, he texted me and said the gun came in! You can't beat that for customer service. I highly recommend buying your guns here, especially if you're a woman.

Having family that are active in the military, they love this place…read more The store is like visiting the Military commissary, in my opinion. Apparently hard to find items, such as camping gear, hunting / fishing equipment, you name it and it's a high-quality item, then this is a place to be. So I'm here as a civilian, non-military non-fishing / hunting enthusiast, so I just find myself looking at their clothing lines. And unfortunately, they seem to be a little on the high-end price wise. No sales people gave salutations to us, or asked us if we need assistance, so I guess I could say "well it's not a high-pressure sales situation"!

So if you want to save some money, consider supporting this local business. While I was there I also decided I would like to purchase a hat. Because many of the options I was looking at were fitted hats and I had never sized my head before I learned a lot about sizing from the staff and they helped me find my head size and I got a hat that fits me perfectly. You can't get this level of service online. They have a wide selection of all the local and Major League teams whether you're in the market for a jersey, t-shirt, jacket, hats, accessories, and more. It's a fairly large store too so it's worth a visit and is conveniently located within the Outlets of Orange shopping mall near Dave & Busters.
