Olympian Howard Shu opened the shop - i thought that was so cool, because I could ask about string tensions, types of rackets, and get genuinely good advice on those things as I'm not familiar w those things, the staff was awesome too - helping me wherever they could. Doing research online can be a little skewed because many people are sponsored by certain companies. So we found this place on Yelp. We were greeted with amazing customer service and his name was Howard S. He was able to explain the different paddles and sizes and shapes very detailed oriented, which helped me dial in and choose a paddle that I wanted. So I went with the joola 4 and I played with it the same day, I'm so happy with the choice that I made. The other amazing thing that Howard did for us, he was able to wrap the handle with some over wrap. I recently picked up pickleball with my dad and I desperately wanted to upgrade my paddle. Stumbled into the rally shop because Big 5 didn't have any of the gen 4 of newer paddles. Very happy that I did! They had all sorts of paddles from Selkirk and Joola which were the two main brands I was considering and even had limited edition color Boomstiks. I ended up getting a Gen 5 Joola after the staff patiently explained each paddle to me and even let me try and feel their demo paddles. In the back area of the shop they also had a good selection of shoes which I'll be back for next time. It is so hard to find a quality and reliable racquet sports shop especially in the area that we live. We aren't able to make the drive often but every time that we do, it is well worth it. The Rally Shop always has everything that we are looking for in terms of our tennis hobby. They are by far the best tennis shop with great prices.
