New grips
Melanie N.

Located to the right of the yoga studio. I parked to the left of the Methodist Church in the 2 hour spots. You can also park on the street. The shop was clean and spacious. Based on the other reviews, I probably interacted with Andy. He regripped my two tennis racquets in 10-12 minutes with enough grip left for one more racquet. Both handles are nice and smooth now. I learned the difference between a complete regrip and replacing over grip from his explanation when asking which grip I needed. The total covered the over grip which was $6. The process was quick and efficient. I'll return in the future for other tennis needs!

Super selection!

They are located right at the corner of Commonwealth and lemon. There's a great selection of shoes string's rackets bags. Whatever you want for tennis they have it here. The prices are right on point. Come check it out.

They do a great job stringing here and it's so cheap! Sometimes they can even do it while I wait! Very clean shop, lots of racquets to choose from, and even have decent selection of shoes (so many online places are out of stock). Highly recommended!

Ask Andy for racquet recommendation!

Service here is amazing! Andy is very knowledgeable, passionate about tennis and he knows his stuff. Recommend to any tennis lovers!

Great little shop! Wide selection of the latest strings, racquets, and shoes. Stringer also did a great job with my hybrid setup.

It's very high ceiling and very spacious and they have tons of courts within the building. Parking was plenty as well. They have dedicated areas for that. From the outside it looks massive, and inside there are a bunch of trophies and pictures on the walls, which was cool to look at while we waited. The online waiver was easy and didn't take long at all. We had two courts next to each other and it didn't feel cramped, even as beginners. I liked that it still felt like we had our own space. But... there are definitely some things that could be better. There's a weird smell when you first walk in. You kind of get used to it after a while, but it's noticeable. The price was also kind of crazy , $42 for six people for one hour feels steep for what you're getting. The building feels a little outdated overall, and the restroom was honestly not great. The brown soap coming out of the dispenser was not it. Also, the lady at the front desk wasn't very friendly and rushed us off right when our time was up, even though there were empty courts. For what they charge, a little better customer service would make a big difference. We still had fun playing, but between the smell, price, and service, I'd say it's a solid 3 stars.

The basketball courts look fine, and there are no workers working on it, meaning it's fine to play right now. That would have been nice to know before I spent $10 on a guest pass. Poor service and arbitrary rules. 1 star review for lack of professionalism, lack of amenities, and false advertising on the pool hours & basketball courts.

I came here to play on vacation because my nephew plays here. I did not bring my raquet or birds…read moreso I decided to rent the shoes and racket. Shoe rental $5 and raquet is $5. Drop in is $12 which is cheaper than the San Francisico area which is $20 and court rental $60 for an hour. I will say there is a small parking lot small and there is not many spaces. Maybe if it is full look for parking across the street. It was my first time there and there was one spot left, so I took it. The floor is pretty decent. It was a matted floor. In terms of playing games, from what the other players I asked how it works is: you have to put your bird on the little cones in the corner. If here are 2 of you, you have to put two birds there so people know there are 2 of you waiting. You are guarantee 2 games once you step on the court. After 2 games you have to get off. All this seem fair except that people at this club like to play with their friends so even when I had my birds on the cones and when they where done they all got off and people straight up would say "no" I don't want to play you. hmmmm... I guess that is a problem. I'm not sure management can do something about that. In Fremont area, and in the badminton community I think it happens very often which is very unwelcoming to newbies or even people who come in one or twos, who want to play. Unlike pickle ball. I get in people faces and ask them to play with me as if I'm a man asking a girl to dance at a club. And yes, guys walk away but someone eventually says yes, and I try to kick their ass because at this point I'm mad and fustrated. Since is it summer it is really hot, and I will say the temperature is the same outside as it is inside maybe hotter inside as everyone and their grandmother is in there running around. Overall, I would come back to play especially when I don't have my equipment.

(This is no easy task, I have a ranked professional racquetball player and an elite badminton coach who work with me, but I believe in myself and the power of learning new things as they relate to self-improvement). I signed up for a month which means I can go any time and my intent was to just work on the basics with the robot that shoots ping pong balls at me so I can work on my form. The owner always tries to find people for me to rally with or she will make an effort to rally with me if no one is available. And believe me, I'm definitely above the average in my office, but I am definitely the worst player at this academy and though many are nice enough to rally with me despite spending excessive amounts of time picking up the balls that I mis-hit, I can definitely tell that I am not anyone's preferred rallying partner. Some of the players there will be direct enough to just say, "okay, I'm going to stop rallying with you." and I respect that, it's their right and the only one who is gaining any table-tennis related skills from rallying with me is ME. For the record, I think table tennis is a very fun sport and I wish it had a bigger following, the combination of hand-eye coordination and footwork required to be great is the closest thing to fighting without the actual fighting. I'd really love to see the table tennis community grow and I think that the Fullerton Table Tennis Academy is a great place to exercise, train, and meet people.
