The guys at the store took my bike on 1 hour's notice and adjusted the chain, replaced brake pads and cable, put in new tire tube and added a kickstand all for a very reasonable charge. Be very skeptical of this place or at least get a second opinion. I visited Bicycles Plus in Franklin a few weeks ago to get a bike fixed. My bike had been stolen in Norwood and the back tire and gear shifts were broken. Also the kickstand. Looked pretty bad, but figured it should be fixable. Upon arrival, the staff looked as if they really did not want to fix it. All they said was, it needs to be replaced. I said, "Replaced?! For a broken wheel and kickstand?" Ok then. I decided to take my bike to where I purchased it in Norwood and guess what, they were able to fix it with no questions asked. And, it was only a hundred bucks! I really want to know the reason why this place said they could not fix my bike. Not even an attempt. I wonder if they thought it was stolen or maybe other things. read more

My review is limited to my experience purchasing a Cannondale bike as I haven't come here for service yet. My wife and I went to Bicycles Plus so I could look at bikes and maybe buy one in order to get into better shape than what walking can do. We met with a very nice high school kid. He knew more about bikes than a grown guy at a different shop two towns over. Even though I was the one looking for a bike, my wife started looking at a whole bunch of women's bikes, asking the high schooler loads of questions, etc. The young man was great, answering all of her questions, helping her with her seating positions, explaining why one bike would work better for her as compared to another, etc. The kid also helped me find the right bike. In the end, after the young salesperson spent a good 45 minutes (maybe it was more like an hour) with us, we didn't buy anything and left because my wife had to get to work. The young salesperson was low pressure as were the other workers that we met (and their dog). A few days later, I went back, sans wife, to try out a bike that I saw there. The high school salesperson recognized me right away. He was again, very friendly and low pressure. I ended up buying a bike with some accessories. One of the adults in the shop area set up the bike while the high school salesperson and another set up a new bike rack on my car. Everyone knew what they were doing and they did a great job. Conclusion: My sales experience was excellent. It was really great to work with a salesperson who knows his product but is also low pressure and courteous. I dropped my bike off last week for minor repairs. I was told the bike would cost around 25 dollars to repair and I though that seemed fair. When I went to get the bike... It was 60 dollars!!! There were labor charges that exceeded the total of the repairs. I argued that this is not a fair practice and that when a customer asks a price, the total should include all fees!! We went back and forth and ultimately they did cut the labor cost but only if I agreed to not do business there in the future!!! No problem! I'm sure there are plenty of honest bicycle shops who disclose all the hidden costs up front and this is not one of them. read more

This bike shop is the best. Everyone is great and Scott knows his stuff and teaches everyone else good manners and salesmanship in the process. Their work is flawless. I bought a road bike from them back in 2009 or so and got a great deal on a previous year's model. Through the years I upgraded a few things here and there. Last spring I started thinking about upgrading again and there was nothing more to upgrade, so I started to think about a new frame. I wasn't ready to spend several thousand dollars so I just asked Scott to keep an eye out for a last year's model. A few weeks later, he found my dream bike. Several steps up from what I had, carbon frame but a two year old model -about half price. SOLD! This shop is like family. Can't do any better. read more

He presented a variety of options including one that was a great bike but last years model so it was on special. No pressure and he took the time to answer all my questions.
