Let me start off by saying I never give bad reviews on anything - I only ever give reviews for good…read moreservice. I've hired various services in my life and never had an issue with another company or person. I usually only like to help a business, not hurt it. However, this was the WORST service I have ever encountered, so I'm making an exception. I made a yelp account to do so, as I am so upset by this service. I told him upfront that I will do so because it was so bad that other people needed to know. Our treadmill stopped working about a month and a half ago. We got it in December 2024, and use it about once a week at most. My husband runs a lot, but prefers the outdoors, so he's probably run on it maybe 15 times total. I do smaller walks, and use it maybe once a week. My husband called for him to come, and that was good - he was prompt and on time. Bob gave us an exorbitant bill with things not agreed upon beforehand - costing a $1k to fix a 1.5 year old treadmill that originally cost twice that. I figured well, there's probably a reason for the premium, and let it go. He needed to order a part, which should take about 7-10 days, according to Bob. A week rolls by with no check-in, so we asked for an update - he gave a very short answer. Another few days roll by, over 10 days, and we reached out for an update, and we get a text saying "Don't contact me again for updates." It seemed a bit rude, but maybe he was overloaded with tasks. The parts came in about 2 weeks after, and then we were gone for a week and a half, so it was about a month before we could schedule it. The treadmill worked for two runs - then died after a week and a half. We ask him to come back and look at it, and he wants to charge us again for his labor/travel (which was costly). He said it was because it was a coincidental issue, but he never actually looked at the treadmill. Bob said it was from overuse, but we use the treadmill pretty sparingly. He noted that Andrew is a runner, but I mentioned he rarely uses the treadmill. He said he wouldn't charge us if he came and it was another issue, but honestly at this point, the trust has been broken. I wasn't even sure we'd get an honest answer about why it broke. We asked him to come and consult on it without paying another $500, as we already were charged for basically half the cost of the treadmill already and it broke a week and a half later. Bob was incredibly rude - name calling, shouting, and he had a terrible temper. We were calm towards him, and he took offense so quickly. So a month later - we're out $1k and still have a broken treadmill. It feels incredibly unethical. He has a lot of positive reviews, but please look at the 1 star ones - they are pretty on par with what I experienced.

I had a fantastic experience with ConnectFit…read more I'm a runner, but I was looking for a machine that would allow me to cross-train, as age-related, running-related, and childbirth-related injuries have all taken their toll. I chose ConnectFit because I wanted equipment that was a step up from what you typically find online or at big-box retailers like Dick's. I also wanted to shop somewhere that had knowledgeable experts who could help me choose the right machine and provide service afterward. Norm, the owner, took all of my wants and needs into consideration and recommended two machines. The showroom was full of equipment, and left to my own devices, I would have been completely overwhelmed. Norm explained how each of the two machines met my criteria and, importantly, how each would work with my body mechanics. I decided to wait a week before making a purchase. The couple of follow-up emails I received from ConnectFit during that time were genuinely helpful and solititious. I never felt pressured to buy. When I was ready, their online invoicing process was quick and easy. The particular machine I chose had a few weeks' wait time, but Norm and his team were clear about when to expect it. They followed up a week before delivery and again the day before. Our assigned delivery window overlapped with other family plans, and rather than making us reschedule, Jenn was able to re-orchestrate the delivery so that the machine arrived and was installed an hour before we had to leave. They removed our old machine and installed the new one in less 45 minutes. They even had an extra treadmill mat on hand just in case, which we ended up needing--it was dirtier under the old machine than I had expected! I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience with ConnectFit. From helping me choose the right equipment to the communication, delivery, and installation, the entire process was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely pleasant. In fact, my husband is already planning to go back for some equipment of his own.

He answered all of my questions with thoughtful, detailed responses and genuinely seemed invested in helping me find the right fit--despite knowing he wouldn't be making the sale. His online presence is also a huge plus. His blog posts on treadmills and other fitness equipment are incredibly helpful and clearly written by someone who knows the industry inside and out. I happened to be in his area this week, so I stopped by the store to meet him and try out some treadmills in person. He was exactly the same as he was online--friendly, knowledgeable, and generous with his time. He walked me through different models without any pressure and made the whole experience easy and informative. What stood out most was that he even encouraged me to reach back out if I couldn't find what I needed locally. That kind of customer-first mindset is rare. Highly recommend ConnectFit if you're looking for honest advice and top-notch service.

He also explained all of my questions in a way that I could understand which was very reassuring because, let's face facts here, I blatantly have no idea about the inner workings of a treadmill; I could tell he wasn't messing around. He fixed my treadmill and reconditioned both the tread and elliptical. I was extremely satisfied and was left with a strong peace of mind knowing my family is safe using my newly tuned equipment. I highly recommend this company!

Let me first start this review off by saying I bought a treadmill during the pandemic, factoring…read morethat in this is still the worst experience I've had purchasing a piece of equipment. I paid Joel $1000 for a life fitness treadmill. He delivered and set it up for an extra charge which was nice. Supposedly a 1 year warranty is included. It is not. Joel came out once to repair the treadmill because when he set it up the belt was way too loose the belt immediately stopped if you stepped on it. 2 weeks later the treadmill randomly shuts off, it skips constantly and is insanely loud and unusable. I've contacted Joel several times but he has not responded. I now need to pay someone to haul this piece of junk from my house. So incredibly disappointed.

I needed some soft goods and since I don't have much time to stay up to speed with what's going on in gear world, I was looking to enlist the help of their staff. Usually I don't do this, especially in specialty shops, because I don't like the pressure to buy or bad vibes for not knowing ridiculous details of what I thought was just a sweater. One of the sales guys approached me (Ray, I think?) while I was checking out their jackets. Being a reduce, reuse, recycle kinda guy, i was happy to learn the Planet Earth jackets they stock use sustainable fabrics. They had a great selection which made finding something that fit my style easy. Ray was asking me questions while I was grabbing some other stuff and he suggested I check out their custom footbeds. I've been using Superfeet and love them, but felt a step up in the footbed department would be instrumental in getting my riding to the next level. I was hoping the custom footbeds would have an impact similar to using the right running shoes for my foot/strike. They worked out way better than I expected! I had no problems with the new boots I got for Christmas (K2 Maysis) on my first day out. Footbed and boot overall felt great. That was a huge for my week long trip in Whistler! The gears kept me dry, warm, and comfortable which is precisely what I need. Custom footbeds are killer. It's a huge step up! Got a great deal on everything. Knowledgeable staff helped me find some things I might have missed (they even had a helmet delivered the next morning from one of their other stores), and they gave me some great advice on caring for my equipment, too. 5 stars for customer service, price, and selection.
