I had a Peloton treadmill out of warranty and some parts broke while I was moving it. I really didn't think it can be fixed since Peloton Customer Service was not helpful at all. However I wanted to give it a try to have a specialist to attempt to fix it considering the amount of money this treadmill cost. Fantastic, reliable service. We've now used Treadmill Repair twice - once to replace an old belt on one treadmill and more recently to fix a completely non-functional treadmill that was gifted to us. Turns out it's an off brand that is really substandard with poor customer service, but Bob called the company several times on our behalf. He eventually diagnosed the problem and repaired the faulty treadmill. Although Bob told us that he does not usually service that brand because it is poorly made and unreliable, he agreed to help us out and stuck with it anyway. Bob was always polite, professional and patient. He showed up when he said he would and did the work as promised. After a 6 year hiatus, I decided to get back on my old Nordic Track Solaris C2050 and was on a two week streak when suddenly, the control panel stopped working, except for 2 controls 1 mph and 7mph. Nothing else was working- speed up, down, stop, start, incline etc. I called the Treadmill Repair Company and spoke to Bob explaining my problem. He kindly told me that on this treadmill, the way the panel is made, you cannot order parts. The entire panel would have to be changed which would cost more than a new treadmill. He advised me that this would not be a good way to go. I appreciated his honesty, as he saved me the cost of a home visit, which would have then resulted in my not repairing the machine. He could have come, and pocketed the service charge, but being honest, he didn't. Just before we hung up, he said that there are a couple of things I could try. One was to peel off the sticker decal on the controls as the control sometime get stuck.I figured that I had nothing to lose, as I would have to junk the machine, so I tried this and like magic, the darn thing worked perfectly!! !I still can't get over it! Interesting that Bob is now trying defamation. I have the text between us and I guess the judge will see who is abusive and who is trying to bully. When we had the disagreement, I offered to record our conversations. Bob is the one who said no. So funny that Bob even knew where the treadmill was from. I fortunately have the proof where I got the treadmill from. And I have the proof the treadmill ran well too. The buttons were probably broken during the moving process. It is a 300 pound thing and no one will just bring a broken one home from the road side and is willing to pay someone $250 to service it. If it is not running, he can't service it at all, why is he claiming he provided "free" service? Now everyone sees how "nice" he is. Buttons were the only thing that were broken. He is lying again. He admitted it was an accident when he broke the console completely. He knew it is an expensive thing to replace so he is trying to get away with it. The safety key worked perfectly fine. It will turn on the treadmill and can run predefined workouts. It is the reputable Proform Performance 1450 which has life-time motor warranty and I already successfully upgraded the software in the control panel before he came as well. The server on Proform company side probably has digital trace of the upgrade. If he didn't break it, it could have lasted for years. Regardless, if someone brought a running used car to the garage to see why AC is broken, the garage broke the engine of the car and the garage now asks him to pay, should the person pay before the engine is fixed? Bob, stop lying. You will get paid once you fix what you broke. Bob called and said he would bring the case to the small claim court to have me pay for his service of breaking a working treadmill which I really can't wait. Searched around for a company that could assemble a Proform delivered from Amazon as I did not want to trust the assemblers they assigned. I spoke to a few companies, most saying they were too busy to get out to my residence in a timely manner (a few days). I called Bob at this company and he not only knew the make and model, he came out the next day and the price he quoted me on the phone was the price I was charged. He spent 2 hours assembling the treadmill from pieces and even helped me move it into position. He also helped me diagnose a slight rubbing problem from the belt due to shipping and it worked great. During the middle of a pandemic things don't always go smoothly. But Bob and his assistant were wonderful. They took great care in keeping distance and went in to our basement workout area through the bulkhead. We spoke to them through the kitchen window while he stood a good 15 ft away in the driveway. Knowing his job takes him in and out of many homes I was glad to see how careful they were. Besides the oddity of continuing service during a pandemic he was also very easy to deal with in general. He answered his phone! At 8:30 pm! And he took the time to speak with me and figure out what we needed so he could give us an idea of price ahead of time. He took the bike apart told me the bike needs a new console, he offered me a quote for the console (over $350) I declined it. He then told me it will be $150 for service and labour(less than an hour) but he will have to charge me extra to put the bike back together.??@!! I said $150 should be enough for that, he was insistent he would need more to put the bike back together. So I'm now left with a disassembled bike which does not work. And yes he was here for less than an hour and later tells me he doesn't service bikes any more because they are labour intensive. Why couldn't he tell me this before? There is no doubt that Bob, the owner of Treadmill Repair, has what it takes to diagnose, troubleshoot, and / or , fix any problem you may encounter with your treadmill or gym apparatus. From the onset of Bob answering the initial phone call I made to Treadmill Repair, and as a good rule of thumb, when the owner answers the phone to address his business during business hours, i know i will always be able to reach him in time of need, nothing creates a more reliable relationship than great communication. Bob provided that answering all my questions with knowlegable technical advise that allowed me to make an informed decision on how to move forward with my treadmill issue. BOB was able to fit me in the schedule, within a week, and with the information i gave him over the phone, when he got to my treadmill he was able to get my machine up and running . And that meant I was up and RUNNING!. Bob has very reasinable rates, knowledge of the industry that is unmatched, and close working relationships with all the major manufacturer's, which Bob says comes in handy when ordering and recieving parts in a timely manor and great rates in repair parts if needed. In early February, 2012 my fairly new treadmill stopped working. After a week of back and forth with the seller, Signature Treadmill Desks, all we had done was narrow down the problem to the motor, the control panel, or the connecting clip between them. I called Treamill Repair of Massachusetts. The treadmill is specially designed to go with a Signature treadmill desk, and had only Signature's name on it. My first concern was when the repairman told me, "I'm not familiar with that brand, so I can't guarantee anything." Anyway, as per his request, I sent Signature's contact information and photos of the treadmill, control panel, and connecting clip. When I hadn't heard anything by late the next day, I called and got a "I haven't had time to look at it yet. I'll call you when I do." I let a few days go by and then called Treadmill Repair Guys (Milford, MA), who came out the next day and diagnosed the problem as the motor. It was still under a parts-only warranty, so I had the new one sent out. Treadmill Repair Guys were once again here within 24 hours of my call that it had arrived, and made the replacement.
