    She's as good as new!

Just got my bike back, she's as good as new! Jack helped me with my tune up, replaced the brake cable because it broke during my last ride, and new brake pads. Conveniently located near the red line. Super friendly service. And I got a free drink holder for my bike! Thanks!

Wow what an incredible bicycle buying experience! The owner, Jack, is honest, thorough and a genuinely nice person who supports the community. I just wish I had more money so I could buy more bikes and accessories from this great little shop!

Jack, Victor and the rest of the crew at Ashmont Cycles went above and beyond to get me a new Kestrel 4000 triathlon carbon fiber frame. Their customer service and attention to detail was top notch. Jack was very responsive via email/phone, providing updates on the bike build. If you're looking for a local bike shop that's knowledgable and honest, swing by Ashmont with your need/budget and they'll make it happen.

Jack Pelletier and his craftsmen built me this beauty. The only thing better than how it looks is how great it rides!

No attention to detail. Multiple trips back for simple repairs that just weren't done right the first time. Work was done by owner as well

Wonderful neighborhood bike store with knowledgable staff. The owner is super nice and even helped me recover a stolen bicycle.

Their stock of bikes currently turns really fast as bike supplies across the country are selling faster than stock can come in from overseas, this is a problem all bike shops are having right now with manufacturing delays due to the pandemic. Luckily, Cambridge bike also does custom builds as well as rebuilds on old bikes so there is definitely a way to get you riding even if a new bike isn't currently in stock. They carry some great brands of bikes and accessories, service department is top notch, and they value positive customer experiences and relationships over just making a sale like some bike shops seem to be around here. I 100% recommend Cambridge Bicycle to anyone in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, etc! They are the epitome of a GREAT and honest neighborhood bike shop.

The shop not only had incredibly rude customer service (including hanging up on me) and did not propose a resolution. Do not take your business here. It's a shame that I tried to support a local business and had this terrible of an experience.

I tend to utilize this if there is something specific (brand/color, etc) that I know I want and then it's super efficient to pick up. The staff is super nice and always happy to guide to the section you are looking for. They are also helpful if you are returning an item or exchanging and I love their commitment to sustainability in the community as well. I always see people down in the bike/repair area so that seems to be a super convenient option to have for a the cyclists in Boston. They told me at checkout that I would save money on my current purchase if I signed up (I asked them to confirm this so it was crystal clear), so I signed up. They then tell me AFTER I've made an account that my discount will be applied to my NEXT purchase. It felt like they wouldn't let me buy anything. They also said my friend was "bumming off of his girlfriend" for checking if she had an account to try to get him to sign up. The products were good and the store was well equipped, but someone at REI corporate needs to change how their employees are trained. Being pushy is not a good look, and quite frankly left such a bad taste in my mouth. Would never go here again.
