Gerry also helped us to select and order a car rack for the bikes online even though he doesn't carry racks.

Cambridge Bicycle is hands down the best bike shop in the Camberville area! The staff is always…read moresuper knowledgeable, polite, and willing to help with any bicycle needs. Their stock of bikes currently turns really fast as bike supplies across the country are selling faster than stock can come in from overseas, this is a problem all bike shops are having right now with manufacturing delays due to the pandemic. Luckily, Cambridge bike also does custom builds as well as rebuilds on old bikes so there is definitely a way to get you riding even if a new bike isn't currently in stock. They carry some great brands of bikes and accessories, service department is top notch, and they value positive customer experiences and relationships over just making a sale like some bike shops seem to be around here. I 100% recommend Cambridge Bicycle to anyone in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, etc! They are the epitome of a GREAT and honest neighborhood bike shop.

Do not trust this bike shop with your bike - especially with nice bikes. I took my bike in for…read morecassette cleaning and to install new disc breaks. Upon picking up my bike a piece of my bike (an axle key, branded with my bike brand) was missing. Additionally, they didn't fully clean the cassette and chain and I spent another hour of my time finishing their terrible work. The shop not only had incredibly rude customer service (including hanging up on me) and did not propose a resolution. Do not take your business here. It's a shame that I tried to support a local business and had this terrible of an experience.

They seem to pretty reliably get your bike back within 24 hours, and they diagnosed a tricky problem and came up with a very reasonable solution. They definitely seemed to know what they were doing. It didn't feel like they were trying to get the work or the cost up. They used parts I brought in. Parking is obviously easy in the huge shopping center lot.

Seriously considering taking my (non-Trek) bike here in the future for any repairs or maintenance. We were heading back home when I got a flat right in front of Trader Joe's across the street. Thankfully my husband remembered there was a Trek in the nearby plaza. The guys in the store couldn't be nicer! My tire was fixed, my pressure was upped, and I was back in business in less than half an hour. Addison in particular was really kind and didn't make me feel dumb for asking a question. Superb customer service, not enough good things to say. Also, if you're any sort of trail nerd, the store itself is pretty cool with photos on the walls of nearby trails laying out the distance and route.

I love getting to explore the store and always find something new. Although it's on the smaller side for an REI, it is bigger than it seems. They have decent selection of gear and brands - definitely all the essentials. You can order online as well to pick up at or ship to the store if a specific item is not available. I tend to utilize this if there is something specific (brand/color, etc) that I know I want and then it's super efficient to pick up. The staff is super nice and always happy to guide to the section you are looking for. They are also helpful if you are returning an item or exchanging and I love their commitment to sustainability in the community as well. I always see people down in the bike/repair area so that seems to be a super convenient option to have for a the cyclists in Boston. If you have an active lifestyle, this is the place for you to come on this side of the Charles River.

They told me at checkout that I would save money on my current purchase if I signed up (I asked them to confirm this so it was crystal clear), so I signed up. They then tell me AFTER I've made an account that my discount will be applied to my NEXT purchase. It felt like they wouldn't let me buy anything. They also said my friend was "bumming off of his girlfriend" for checking if she had an account to try to get him to sign up. The products were good and the store was well equipped, but someone at REI corporate needs to change how their employees are trained. Being pushy is not a good look, and quite frankly left such a bad taste in my mouth. Would never go here again.

From the easy to use website with up to date information, to the person answering the phones who knew exactly what was in stock and had the bike I was interested in locked up outside ready for me to ride, it was an absolute pleasure to buy a new bike with zero snags. The selection in this store is much bigger than it might first appear- they're known for cargo bikes and an increasingly large supply of electric cargos, but they have kid's balance bikes and the lovely step through commuter bike in the pic, too. Their website is very easy to search for what you want in advance. You can also get all the things you need to put your new bike in use from racks, bags, baskets, bells, gear, and safety supplies. It was fast and easy to select high quality items and they attached it all so my bike was done and ready to take home that day. Another huge advantage over the first time I bought a perfect bike- bike lanes! You can try your new bike in a safe bike lane before cutting back to the store on a side street then a less well traveled road. Gives you a little descent, little bumpiness, and a little ascent so you can get a real feel for the bike. I love that there's no pressure, just a plan to help you find what works best for you. So happy with my purchase!
