My partner and I had such an amazing experience at Bicycle Belle. We traveled from Rhode Island to this cute little corner shop in Boston because they had the model bicycle we were looking for. They were very responsive on Instagram and were absolutely delightful in person. Our salesperson was very knowledge and relaxed and welcoming of questions. Love that it's female-operated, as well. Could not recommend this adorable small business more!

This review is shamefully overdue considering that I've loved this shop since it opened. Carice is one of the nicest, hardest-working people you'll ever have the pleasure to meet, and this shop is a beautiful little gem that Massachusetts - nay, New England - is lucky to have. As for my own experience with Bicycle Belle, I bought my bike (a Paper Bicycle) from Carice in August 2013. I had a pretty good idea what I was looking for going in, but I took almost every bike in the shop out for a test ride in order to make sure I knew what I wanted. Carice was helpful and patient, even letting me test ride the Bakfiets (Dutch box bicycle) just for fun. I decided to go with one of the Paper Bicycles that she had in stock, with the addition of wooden chainguards and a rear rack. Carice ordered and installed it all for me, keeping me updated every step of the way. When it was done, the bike was a thing of beauty (especially with a new Brooks leather saddle). That was far from my last visit to the shop, however. I've popped in there frequently to browse and see what's new, as well as picking up a few additional accessories for my bike. Then the Belles Who Bike monthly gatherings started, which were fantastic. I was only able to attend a couple because I had a baby and then moved across the country, but I plan on becoming a regular once we're back in the area. Please keep them going, Carice! Finally, as a new mom, I love that Carice is such a strong advocate for biking with kids. I was only able to talk with her a little bit about it before I moved, but even that was very useful. I'm hoping to buy a box bike once I'm back on the East Coast, and you better believe that I'll be shopping at Bicycle Belle.

My fiancé and I love Carice & co! Super friendly bike shop with no attitude or ego. Great selection of European style bikes - upright, smooth to ride and classic design. They sell quality gear, not crazy cheap stuff that you'll end up replacing every season. If you are looking for row after row of mountain, hybrid or road bikes, look elsewhere. If you want a classically designed bike that will get you around with style & comfort - this is the place. They even have leather wine bottle & six-pack holders. I picked up a Paper Bike yesterday (the dope one in the window) and cannot be happier with it. So, so happy. Handmade - designed with form & function. I've never seen or ridden anything like it.

Their stock of bikes currently turns really fast as bike supplies across the country are selling faster than stock can come in from overseas, this is a problem all bike shops are having right now with manufacturing delays due to the pandemic. Luckily, Cambridge bike also does custom builds as well as rebuilds on old bikes so there is definitely a way to get you riding even if a new bike isn't currently in stock. They carry some great brands of bikes and accessories, service department is top notch, and they value positive customer experiences and relationships over just making a sale like some bike shops seem to be around here. I 100% recommend Cambridge Bicycle to anyone in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, etc! They are the epitome of a GREAT and honest neighborhood bike shop.

Upon picking up my bike a piece of my bike (an axle key, branded with my bike brand) was missing. The shop not only had incredibly rude customer service (including hanging up on me) and did not propose a resolution. Do not take your business here. It's a shame that I tried to support a local business and had this terrible of an experience.

Seriously considering taking my (non-Trek) bike here in the future for any repairs or maintenance. We were heading back home when I got a flat right in front of Trader Joe's across the street. Thankfully my husband remembered there was a Trek in the nearby plaza. The guys in the store couldn't be nicer! My tire was fixed, my pressure was upped, and I was back in business in less than half an hour. Addison in particular was really kind and didn't make me feel dumb for asking a question. Superb customer service, not enough good things to say. Also, if you're any sort of trail nerd, the store itself is pretty cool with photos on the walls of nearby trails laying out the distance and route.
