Had a bike fit for an existing bike I own, and Dean did an amazing job. He took the time to dial in each part of the bike, so that it was both comfortable and optimized for speed/power. Took a couple of hours, and it was worth every minute as well as worth every penny. I now no longer have my hands go numb when I ride. My hips are less sore, even after a century ride. Thank you Dean!! I have been road biking for 15 years and consider myself an intermediate rider. I have had several bike fittings in the past and I found this fitting to be the BEST EVER!! I was told by another "high end" bike shop fitting service that my current road bike was no good  and I needed to buy a new custom bike. Thank goodness I had enough sense to get a second opinion. I went to Fit Werx thinking perhaps I did need a new bike, but wasn't quite sure.  Dean took the time to listen to me, he was professional, efficient, patient, and detail oriented.  After my bike fit was completed, he gave me an honest evaluation of both options. Instead of telling me my old bike was "no good and nothing could be done". He told me that he could make several bike adjustments that would bring me closer to my ideal fit or could buy a new bike.  I really appreciated his honest opinion, patience, and bike fitting skills/knowledge. Another Yelper nailed it by stating: if you're a serious cyclist or triathlete - this is the place for you. I've had some good experiences (CycleLoft) and some horrible experiences (Wheelworks). After being fitted by Dean, I learned what a true professional bike fit is all about. 3.5hrs of biomechanical evaluation of my TT position and I have never been more comfortable on a bike. Marty worked very hard to earn my business on a new rig, and I'm completely satisfied with my purchase. The good times keep rolling in the shop - Geoff is both knowledgeable and approachable. The approachable part is something every other shop I've dealt with lacks. Typically the shop is filled with hipsters who are too cool to give you the time of day. The shop at Fitwerx is like an open kitchen restaurant; you can watch the mechanics and interact with them while you're there. Everyone is very customer focused and responsive in person and via email. I can't recommend this shop enough. read more

Fit Werx is bike nirvana. The main goal of going to Fit Werx is to find a bike that fits and performs. Fit Werx isn't really like Wheelworks or Landry's since you can just walk in and walk out with a bike ( I think the offer some stock frames). Most of the business is done through custom fitting you to the bike. The fitter, Dean, will evaluate your position, get you into a comfortable position. You can then work with him to tweak the way your bike handles. They will go over the smallest detail with you - all the way from geometry to what tires you want on your new bike. I had to sell my old Seven and they even offered to disassemble it and box it up to be shipped. I have been to a lot of bike shops, and even had a custom Seven from Wheelworks, but Fit Werx is truly the best. I ended up with a Serotta Concours and it is the best fitting/riding bike I have ever experienced. If you are serious and want a great bike buying experience go here. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Fitwerx. I've been riding a looooooong time - started racing in 1978. I still want all my bikes to feel and ride like a top racing bike. I took a 23 year old custom built Serotta frame there to update it to 2018 - they didn't give me crap about an old bike not being worth it, or can't get parts to fit or any other BS. The setup was flawless, not fast but the wrenching was top notch. If you're a performance road rider, this is your shop. read more

Nice place, focus on road/racing bikes. Got a tune-up. Guys were fine, not overly nice, but also not typical bike-store d-bags. I'll stick w them for a bit, but not bowled over like everyone else. I put a premium on customer service, and these guys were fine but not great. And I'd say the price was higher than I'd like as well. read more

Very refreshing. A highly professional outfit that is very courteous. The art of service is well understood at this shop. They greeted me when I entered the shop. They were very thorough when reviewing options on my bike tune-up, and they followed up with calls along the way to confirm some of the work they recommended. It was clear that they put a lot of time into tuning up my road bike which I daresay had been a bit neglected. It was returned to me in immaculate shape and they took the time to review all the work they had done. I give them an "A" for going the extra mile and taking the time to walk through everything as if the customer really mattered. Truly refreshing. Thanks Fit Werx. And while this is clearly a high-end bike shop, they did not hesitate to treat my banged up mountain bike with tons of care. I liked that they sold me an XT front derailleur instead of replacing my broken XTR with another XTR... which I definitely did not require. I recommend this shop highly even if you end up going somewhere else, they'll give you a straight answer and some good options. $149 for a full bike tune up including tearing down the cassette and derailleurs for full cleaning. They went above and beyond to knock down some of the weathering on some of the components. Very much worth it since I don't have a parts bin to do the dirty work in my current apartment. read more

I bought my TT/Tri bike at FitWerx two years ago, and every time I ride, I just feel so comfortable on the bike, that I felt compelled to write a review. The service has also been excellent. They do cater to people looking for high-end, beginning with a very extensive fitting process - and the level of service and wares the shop offers does cost - but they also are excellent across the board - from fit, to selection, to mechanical-service - by far the best I've experienced. The value I have gotten for the money I have spent at Fitwerx is better than I've gotten anywhere else. -- I remain consistently impressed with the quality of service and information I get from FitWerx. I used to do a lot of shopping around for a best-price; I've come to realize that one bad purchase, even at a great price, can negate a lot of savings. FitWerx helps me make the right choices for accessories, replacement parts and service, and they give me time to make sure my equipment works for me. They've been great. read more

If you are serious about cycling, whether it be competitive or for general fitness, a Fit Werx bike fit is a must. I was blown away by the detail involved in the fitting process. They discuss diet, physical issues, goals and a host of other personal needs and desires. The changes made to my position seemed small but resulted in a much more comfortable ride and increased speed and stamina on my bike. Back and shoulder issues disappeared. Went to Fitwerx for a bike fitting as a novice rider at the age of 52 (hadn't even realized there was such a thing as a bike fitting and recently learned about the smart trainers, cadence monitors, etc). I had a road bike fit because riding on my current bike has been very uncomfortable for the past few years..now I know why, my setup was completely wrong for me..the analysis they did and the adjustments were just amazing...gone is the stress in my arms, shoulders, and neck! I am a complete novice when it comes to bikes. However, I went to Fit Werx to support a friend who is raising funds through a bike ride. The owner was there as host. First, I love the fact that they support charties with not only funds, but actions. Bravo! Then, he took time to discuss biking with me, explain what type of bike would work for my needs and even suggested where I could purchase novice gear they did not carry. I have been purchasing bikes for almost 30 years and have a fairly strong working knowledge of bikes, components and pricing. IMHO, you will not find a better equipped or more knowledgeable staff than at Fit Werx 2. Dean and Marty run a phenomenal shop filled with FRIENDLY, Polite and courteous people. Regardless of your skill level, they will spend time walking thru the details of the "fit" process and the bike selection and purchase process. Providing you have the time, they will help you with every aspect of frame and component selection suitable to your riding style and geometry needs. This was my first experience at Fit Werx 2. From the moment that I set foot in the door, I was greeted by Mike who is a very helpful and knowledgeable individual. He took as much time as I needed to answer my questions and discuss the "fit" process. I have had a multitude of good and bad bike buying experiences but nothing comes close to the level of customer service that seems to come naturally to everyone at Fit Werx. This was my first fully comprehensive "fit" experience and it was beyond my expectations by miles. Dean was very meticulous and willing to spend hours with me answering my questions and making suggestions appropriate to my riding level and needs. Marty provided exemplary Customer Service throughout the entire order period, helped me out with several questions and worked closely with me to expedite delivery of my awesome new Cervelo S5, an amazing bike. Geoff was also remarkable throughout the entire "delivery" process, walked me thru every detail, answered all my questions and took as much time as I needed to ensure that I was confident and comfortable with my new bike. I encourage anyone that is interested in biking regardless of their skill level to visit Fit Werx2 in Peabody. I wanted to write this because I just had a great experience here. I am not an avid biker, nor do I know much about bikes. I signed up for a bike ride and didn't realize what the date of the ride was until two days before the race. I had a bike that needed work done and I had one day to do it. So I looked up bike shops near the office where I work and fit werx came up. I called them and spoke to a guy named mike and he said to bring it in. When I brought it in I asked for mike and a tall, bald guy helped me out and told me to wait over by the service center and that mike would help me out. Mike took a look at my bike right away and told me what sort of work needed to be done. He also said that since it was last minute he didn't know if it could get done today because he had a lot of appointments. I understood that my request was a little ridiculous, but I appreciated him being honest with me. He said to bring it by when I had some more time and he would be happy to help. I then asked him if I could get some shorts and a helmet there and he said that he would help me get the bike to the car and we could talk about helmet and shorts. It was when we got out to the car that he told me that the items at fit werx were not for a casual biker like myself (they were ffar more expensive than I was willing to spend) and that I would be better served going to a larger store like Dick's Sporting Goods, where things were more affordable. He said that they would take good care of me and that my needs would be met (they were). Basically, he was telling me that I was out of my element at this shop. This might sound awkward and uncomfortable, but Mike told me in such a way that I didn't feel stupid or uncomfortable. I really felt like he was just trying to help. I hate when I go into a place and the "experts" that work there make me feel stupid and out of place, which is something that I was worried about. Mike and the people at Fit Werx didn't make me feel that way at all. Mike tactfully told me that I was in the wrong place and made me feel better about everything. I ended up borrowing a freinds bike, but I will go back to fit werx to get my bike fixed and I look forward to working with them again. read more

As the starts suggest, pretty much as good as it gets. Everyone in the shop is very welcoming and engaging. I have been to many bike stores were ego and arrogance are part of the business culture. I did not feel like any of that was at Fit Werx. The maintenance staff was very helpful in answering a few questions about how to maintain my bike and even brought me back to the maintenance area to get a better look. The staff gave me plenty of time to think over potential purchases and I never felt pressured. Email or call or stop by, when ever I interact of the Fit Werx Crew, I leave with more knowledge about bicycling in general. I travel approximately 100 miles to get to the store. That's how good of service you get there. read more

Fit Werx is the only place to go if you want friendly staff who knows their race and triathlon bikes. I came to the shop last year as a newbie, seeking a bike fit on my old road bike so that I could somehow make it through a half Ironman I signed up for (the bike was fine for smaller tris but as the miles added up, I was noticing more and more fit issues). Dean fitted me and saved the day! Never any pressure to buy anything (at that point I wasn't sure if I wanted to put the money into a sport I was just starting out in). Cut to this year and I was ready to purchase a real tri bike. Marty at Fit Werx got me a great deal on a Felt bike and I have never been happier. They've been endlessly patient with me and never talked down to me like other bike shops have. I am "back of the packer" in my races but they have always treated me like a pro! Their prices aren't the lowest, but their knowledge and customer service is worth ten times what youd save by buying elsewhere. Bottom line: you cant go wrong shopping at Fit Werx if you want to a good tri or road bike. read more
