This is possibly the worst restaurant my husband and I have ever been to. Poor service. Took 1/2 hour to get a salad, took an hour to get our entres and when we finally got out food it was cold. We asked for more bread, didn't get it, we asked for another diet coke, didn't get it. We asked for a side dish of spaghetti, didn't get it. The filet mignon was a cheap piece of beef overcooked. The table where we were seated was under an a/c duct that dropped water on us periodically. There was absolutely no social distancing at the bar or the restaurant. My friend and I were in Naples since she was going to be living there and neither of us had ever been to 5th Avenue South. We drove there and opted to go to Bice's. We have been there twice. The first time is was just after 3P and we were in time for happy hour and the drinks and food was 50% off until 6P. We looked over the happy hour menu and my friend ordered a glass of red sangria and I got a glass of the house red. While we were waiting for our drinks, the most delicious hot italian bread came our with whipped butter and EVOO. The first time we went my friend ordered the spaghetti lobster dish and I got the penne arrabiata-penne pasta in a spicy red sauce which was great. My friend liked the spaghetti dish as well. We finished our meal off with an espresso for each of us. The next time we went we arrived closer to 5:30p and the place was more crowded but still maintaining social distancing with space between each table. We placed our drink order again [same as before] She ordered the linguine with seafood and I did the same. We enjoyed these meals. To finish off the meal, we each once again got an espresso since there was no room for dessert and we saw other patrons taking home food that they did not finish and could eat the next day. The staff was accommodating and attentive, most polite and the restroom was clean and well maintained. I would recommend and return. Horrible experience tonight. We have been here several times in the past with excellent service and food. Tonight was their annual 50% off night. The restaurant overbooked availability and unlike the normal menu they had a "special" what they called happy hour menu offering the cheapest offerings from their regular menu. In the past we were always offered their full menu...I know because I always order Ossobuco. The servers were exceptionally rude...even walking by our table exclaiming "this is a shit show"...and indeed it was! When our server asked if we enjoyed the dinner and we started to offer our opinion she literally walked away. So many great restaurants in Naples...this is on our "do not ever go again" list. read more

My sister and I loved popping into this restaurant after a day at the beach for a phenomenal happy hour. From 3-5 their entire menu is half price and certain cocktails are reduced in price. The food was very good. The veal chop was excellent but definitely could have used a demi glaze. Thankfully, we had a fabulous waiter, Goce, who was attentive, friendly and honest. Because the host was the opposite. He barely approached us, had an attitude and was extremely aloof. BiCE needs to invest in more awnings, as the sun can be quite brutal while sitting outside. They could also use more servers during happy hour. All in all a pleasant experience with the exception of the host. If you go to BiCE, ask for Goce to be your server. read more

You have to give a star to write a review if not I would give them zero.we went . Yesterday for the 'happy hour' (Sunday ) and arrived at 4 and it was very crowded but there were open tables. The manager refused to seat us although there were open tables. If you can't handle the number of people at the tables on the floor you should take them out. We are good customers and eat there frequently. He said come back ' after happy hour'. That was the point of our visit. We will never return. When we returned to the car after dinner, the valet showed up and told us we need to pay $7. Paid the $7, and then he knocked on the window asking for a tip. Feeling extremely generous with the 2/5 star after being straight up disrespected by the Bice hostess. This evening, I had a reservation after previously speaking with a staff member on the phone (not even an app or online schedule) for 3 people. We waited about 15 minutes for our table to be set, which is quite fine, they are busy, we love to see the long-term places on 5th packed, as my family and I have been coming to Naples for years. A different hostess then leads us to a table in the back dining room, where I say, "Excuse me Miss, I'm sorry, but I think our reservation was for the front patio, is there anyway we could still sit out there?" thinking it would not be a big deal if I mentioned it, or if they had accidentally taken us to the wrong spot. She then is apologetic, taking us back to the main hostess, as the main hostess tries to explain to me that their reservations are not for "designated areas". Confused why my initial reservation was allowed for the front patio, I agreed to wait for the next open table at 8:15, as our res was at 8. An older gentleman then walks up to the hostess, as my party and I are waiting, with a Party of 3, asking to be seated. The hostess says, "Yes, we have a side patio table open if you'd like to sit there." Hesitant, this gentleman walked out to check out the table on the side patio, clearly have had dined at Bice before, as well. He then came back to the hostess, disagreed to that suggestion, and was right away, sat in the front patio, in front of my reservation for the party of 3, at the first, and only available table. Lucky them. I went up to the hostess inquiring about what happened and she told me, "that because I 'rejected my original table', I am moved to the bottom of the waitlist, including those parties who don't have reservations." I simply had to walk away as I was completely disrespected because I was younger than the party who walked up. Do better Bice. read more

We just finished dining at Bice and were quite disappointed. I choose the chicken piccata and my husband had the lasagna. The chicken dish was extremely salty and the lasagna was of a "mushy" consistency. Seeing as we were only visiting Naples for a few days, we were careful to read reviews on Bice and they were quite complimentary. Not what we expected at all. Arrived for a 7:00 reservation to a long line. Went with my 83 year old mother. After standing in the line for more than 20 minutes some young couple walked in front of everyone and was immediately seated. When we told the hostess that they cut the line she said she was too busy to notice. 15 minutes later we got our table. Once seated the service was extremely slow it took over 29 minutes to get our appetizers. They were good not great. After we finished our appetizers it took another 20 minutes to get our dinners. My mother got the lobster with spaghetti. When it arrived it was a cold bowl of pasta with 4 small pieces of lobster. Not acceptable for the $99.00 they charged per meal. She showed the manager how little lobster was in her meal and he came back with a few small pieces of lobster. I gave my son and his girlfriend a gift card so they could go and have a nice dinner. Unfortunately the waitress ruined the experience. They said the food was and at the end of the meal they were going to order another cocktail and the waitress said they would need to go to the bar for that. This has become my favorite restaurant in Naples. I've been about a dozen times in the past year, and not once have I been disappointed. Usually I get the bolognese pasta. It just melts in your mouth! It's sort of a simmered/braised beef with tomato sauce that's as smooth as can be. They used the same meat sauce when making the lasagne and that is just wonderful! Looked very romantic we decided to have dinner here and Happy we did,the waiter was A sweet Italian man who was very helpful in selecting a wine for the dishes we selected. I had the home made Ravioli stuffed with braised beef and truffle oil....amazing. I would happily give this restaurant five stars for the food, However, the majority of the waitstaff all the way to the top dog, wear their masks below their noses. While many seniors have been vaccinated, many other patrons have not. Even if they had Covid, there are variants, especially in Florida. Naples is no exception. The restaurant packs people on the patio and indoors especially during happy hour. I guess tourists think they're taking a Vacay, so they can do what they want. There are many great looking restaurants in Naples, please try any of the others before coming to Bice. I might have known from their website that this place was a bad idea. They claim to be the pinnacle of Tuscan style dining in Milan. Well, Milan is in the region of Lombardy, so that's a bit like saying you have the best New York style pizza in Chicago. But we easily got a reservation at this international chain via Open Table. 8 p.m. on a Wednesday. We arrived a few minutes early to a crowded and chaotic atmosphere. We were told to wait at the bar, which was very full with only awkward areas to stand because aside from the actual bar stool seating, that area of the restaurant is also filled with tables. It was obvious that the overflow were being seated here rather than in the restaurant proper. It was also obvious that no one was really being served. Tables and tables of diners with drinks and bread baskets. We enjoyed a round of drinks at the bar, but half an hour later we were still waiting. 45 minutes after arriving, we had a second round (hey - it would have been nice to have those comped, but no one seemed to care we were waiting so long). Well, by 9 p.m. our party of four was finally seated. We waited for a very long time before our server arrived. Water and bread showed up with a dish of butter, olive oil, vinegar and what looked like some type of mozzarella, and perhaps some type of red pepper blended mozzarella. I'm not sure because no one ever bothered to explain what it was. Another half an hour and our first course of salads finally arrived. My spinach salad with warm goat cheese was cold - as if the goat cheese had just been sliced from the refrigerator. By this time we let our server know that we were very unhappy, having an 8 p.m. reservation and not receiving real food until 9:30 p.m. without explanation is unacceptable. Our server pretty much lost it from that point on. I guess they aren't used to criticism. We should have left, but were starving, so what can you do? When the main dishes arrived, they were very mediocre. I've been to Italy dozens of times and none of this tasted fresh or hand-made. In the end, we had our one bottle of wine comped, which believe me, was the least they could do. read more

The salad was creamy and I have had better dressing out of a bottle, the chicken was over cooked and had no flavor and the desert, which was some kind of pudding of some sort, was flavorless and was like jello-ten. I had the chicken Florentine sandwich, which coincidentally came out with my girlfriends salad (not main course), and was very disappointed. It was also flavorless and overcooked. With more than half of our food uneaten it was not worth getting a to-go box. SERVICE While there was one other table when we arrived, they soon left and we were the only people in the restaurant. We sat outside and our European waiter gave us European service(He was unfriendly, uninformative and unattenuated to our table). We also had to remind the service to bring the second of the 3 course meal plates. When we left we checked out the back of the restaurant to see if anyone else was getting ripped off and found all the staff sitting at a table hanging out. My wife called the day before and was advised that everything was fine but when we arrived they were very nonchalant and did not apologize for the mixup. They did find us a table. I don't even think BICE should have a review. It's supposed to be upscale restaurant . The server took 15 min to take our order for drinks/wine and then another 15-20 min to bring the wine. We ordered 2 appetizers and they never brought plates for them or the proper silverware, we had to use bread plates. After more than an hour and half later we had our main course, the sea food linguine had all empty shells and the pasta was mushy , the clams linguine also had empty shells and had under cooked pasta, the risotto was dry and pappardelle creamy tomato sauce and basil / the basil was missing .
