This meatball sub was phenomenal. Get it.
    Holly M.

I was recently in Montgomery for a work trip, and stopped in one rainy evening with a group of 25 for an early dinner. This place did not disappoint. When our Tour Bus opened its doors, the staff's eyes did not widen with fright, rather twinkle with excitement. For those of you who are old enough, you will understand when I say this place made me feel nostalgic because the wave of aroma that hit me when I walked through the doors was that of pizza in from the 1980s. It was marvelous. In addition to all of the standard pizza treats and options, they had a great lineup of sandwiches, calzones, and salad that made every single person in my group happy. Moreover, they even had great beer on tap. If you like dark beers like me you'll love the Porter that they have in house. You would think with a group our size that we would've been waiting all night for Service, but that food started coming out within five minutes of the first order, and everyone was happy. This is a great place for small groups, large groups, and everything in between. It's worth saying that I was inspired for the first time in my life to eat a meatball sandwich. I could only handle half of the sandwich because it was so large, but the next time I'm in Montgomery I will definitely go back to this place for another. I think they may have ruined me for all meatball sandwiches everywhere else.

The whole time I was in class all we did is a group was wait until we were able to get some authorizations to go have a bite to eat off base. Naturally, asking around paid dividends because word-of-mouth is stronger than any review could be. That being said, when a vast majority of folks got back to the dormitories and said that this was the place to be, it peaked my groups interest. Boy was I pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the taste of the ingredients on these handmade hand tossed pizzas. When I tell you that we went back three times in 10 days it is not an exaggeration, but merely a retailing of facts. We sat in very tables and booths and even enjoyed a bit of basketball in a separate side room with big screens On one outing, we were having such a good time just enjoying company and regaling entails a victory that we straight up ordered a round of cannolis for the table. Yes, the cannolis were absolutely delicious and yes, the Godfather was certainly quoted. If you are reading this and on the fence as to whether or not you should go I suggest you minimize the screen and pull up maps so you can make your way there. The owners are great. The establishment is military friendly, and it feels like the perfect place to go as a group.

Pizza hit the spot! We were so hungry, and looking for a place near us to eat and found this place! We got the meat lovers, alla romania, and garlic knots. The restaurant wasn't too busy at 2pm on a Saturday. The service was a little slow, but a lot of people were there. The food was so good, so overall great experience! The restaurant definitely have been a little cleaner, especially the bathrooms. But overall, good enough for me!

The pizza is better than good ... I admire the location in downtown Montgomery something that been missing for 30 years . Friendly fast southern service . I enjoyed the feel of the restaurant . Games on all tvs. Will be back for sure

I ordered a calzone with pepperoni, extra sauce, and NO cheese because I am lactose intolerant. They completely ignored that, put a different kind of cheese in it anyway, and then still charged me for extra cheese. To make it worse, they also charged me for extra sauce that was supposed to be INSIDE the calzone, yet the sauce wasn't even inside--it was dumped on the side instead. That's unacceptable. On top of that, the calzone was made wrong and tasted disgusting. They clearly don't understand what a calzone even is. The size was an absolute joke--this was the smallest "calzone" I've ever had, smaller than a paper plate. A quesadilla is bigger than what they served me. The restaurant itself was also a mess. It was very slow, yet I couldn't find a single clean table to sit at. Between ignoring dietary restrictions, messing up the order, overcharging, serving a tiny portion, and keeping a dirty dining area, this place clearly doesn't care. I will not be back.

I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and a plate of char-grilled hot wings. The sandwich was the highlight for me. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, with a nice char on the outside that gave it great flavor without being dry. The bun was fresh and held everything together without falling apart halfway through (which I always appreciate). It felt like a well-balanced, thoughtfully made sandwich rather than something rushed. The char-grilled hot wings were flavorful with a smoky finish from the grill. They had a good kick -- not overwhelmingly spicy, but enough heat to keep things interesting. A couple of them were slightly on the smaller side, but the taste definitely made up for it. The atmosphere was relaxed and lively without being too loud. Service was friendly and attentive, though we did wait a bit longer than expected for our food during a busy stretch. Nothing dramatic, just noticeable. Overall, it's a place I'd happily return to -- good food, good vibe, and consistent quality. A strong 4 stars from me.

Plenty of chunks of chicken, with a smooth sauce, and nice crust. I ate the entire pizza because I could not get enough. The decor was very whimsical with their elephant logos throughout. Overall, good choice for a Friday night or anytime you need some good grub.

My guy called to make sure they would be open since it the week of Christmas. The guy on the phone, after answering that they were open, proceeded to text a menu and the address to us. Great customer service!!! Upon arriving, and after a little confusion as to how to place an order (due to the coffee shop staff), we ordered a meat lovers.com and a build your own with Alfredo base, bacon and beef. Both were personal sized. After a short week and the owner coming out to give us an update on our order, the pizzas arrived. They looked just as delicious as pictures had showed. They also tasted as good as they looked. The cheese was really cheesing, and had that mozzarella pull you see in movies and magazines. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. Both the red sauce and the Alfredo sauce were measured perfectly. The crust was a star and could easily be a meal by itself...it was just that good. The pizzas should come with a side of red sauce for dipping the crust in. The owner (I think his name is Cedric) came out , chatted with us, discovered we were from Birmingham, and apologized that we didn't get to visit his regular location as they are making some repairs. He was very down to earth and we encouraged him to look into coming to the Birmingham market. We could tell that he put his heart into his work and he has taught that also to his employees. I really hopes he looks in to branching out. He has something special with these pizzas. If you're in the area, please check them out. You won't regret it!
