I am from MD and I travel a lot. Every time I visit my mom I visit this place. The sirloin tips and hamburger are top match. The flavor is on point. The sirloin tips come with a small salad and baked potato. The salad is basic. But the baked potato is not...it's really really good. I think all meals come with free tea or lemonade. Found myself meandering through Prattville and pretty hungry so I searched local restaurants and found this place. The name is Cow A Bun Go which sounded strange, so naturally I had to stop in and see what was up. Glad I did. It's mostly a burger delivery place, but you can walk in and order for pickup and they have a table or two inside if you want to eat there. Good for one or two people to dine in but probably not for groups. The burger was remarkably good. They're making them to order and they're making them the way you would at home. Big portions, dripping with goodness, and packed with flavor. Honestly a really good burger. The menu ranges mostly from small burgers to increasingly larger ones, culminating in one called "the holy cow" which has 20oz of beef on it. So if you're into that, there ya go. There are also salads and a few other sandwiches that are not burgers in case you have a burger hater in your group. Overall the place is worth stopping for and I'd do it again. Prices were reasonable and I can't imagine there's a better burger option nearby. Would definitely do it again. read more

I usually enjoy my order from this place...however the last two visits I ordered the same thing ( steak tips,salad,baked potato) . both times the potatoes were severely undercooked. I got all the way home and by the time I had finished rebaking the potato the dinner was cold and disappointing . This seems to be a consistent problem so I wouldn't recommend this place if you want a decent dinner and I won't be wasting my money there! read more

The prices change every other week, and the menu is never updated. It's tedious to call and ask the price of every item before you can order. The food is always good. Grilled Chicken Chef Salad $8.50... Diced Grilled Chicken, Lettuce, Cheese, 2 slices or actually 2 quarter sections of a quarter Tomato, & 3 slices of Cucumber. Good but nothing so special or "extra" that makes this salad stand out from other places at comparative prices. I placed a order for delivery on 7/16/2022. After I hour and 30 minutes passed I called to check on the order. First I was told that I had called and said that the order would be picked up and it had been picked up (mind you I had already paid the delivery fee on my card). Than I was told my order had been delivered (never received it). While trying to resolve the situation over the phone with a guy that said he's the manager (Ken). Whom I've tipped several times because he's delivered to my home quite often. He put me on hold for over 10 minutes never returning to the phone. I had to get up and go to the restaurant where he was extremely rude was not helpful at all. He were only willing to void the transaction. I was not offering any type of discount or a apology (he did not care about any of the inconvenience I had experienced). My family and I were craving steaks one Saturday so we decided to call Cow A Bun Go because by the time we would have gone to the store and prepared everything ourselves it would have been 11:00 at night. We called about 7:00 and were sitting done eating by 8:00. Four delicious meals brought to our door. Steak, loaded baked potatoes, rolls, and salads. They provided us with plenty of extras to make our meal even better such as sour cream, two different kinds of butter, utensils, napkins, etc. Our food was cooked just right for each of our specific liking and the price was very reasonable! read more

The food is pretty good. Prices are decent, and portions are good. The staff....an embarrassment. And one might have been the owner/manager. They had put cheese on a salad when we requested none. The person rolled their eyes at us. They left off grilled mushrooms on one of our burgers, but we definitely got charged. Just really bad customer service. read more

I will NEVER order from this restaurant again. I've been a LOYAL customer for 8+ years and after the disgusting, disrespectful, and downright nasty customer service I received today, I'll never go back again. I phoned in an order and paid via my debit card. After almost TWO HOURS of waiting, I called back because it wasnt delivered yet. After 10 minutes of them not even being able to locate my ticket, I was informed my card didn't go through. I checked my online banking and the transaction did in fact go through. I told her this and she said she'd have to call her boss to see what to do and she'd call me back. I called back (because they never called me back) and they passed the phone to the cook because they didn't want to talk to me because of my "attitude" but the manager would call me when he got in. The manager called me and asked if I wanted a refund or my food. I was hungry so of course I said food. Minutes later, I received another call from the manager and he said he checked their machine and my transaction didn't go through and it will show as pending until the weekend was over. My bank confirmed it was authorized but by that point I was tired of arguing over a measly chicken salad. PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

My mom and I were excited to try this place, I said I hyped myself up more than I probably should have to be honest. When we went in, it was cramped, loud, and honestly, there was barely enough places to stand or sit for people who were picking up their orders. I thought that was strange, but I didn't mind. I had to tame my mom's temper on it though as we crammed ourselves into an uncomfortable chair in a squished corner. It took a while to get out order as they are usually backed up, (mind you this is our first experience which was a few months ago, they got faster but worst cooking) and the people were brisk and lacked true warm ness which unsettled me. No I'm not asking for giggling and roses but a smile would be nice from some one working in customer service. Our most recent visit to pick up resulted in us having raw meat in the middle of our burger, great, and terrible tea. Mom loves their food but I despite the taste of their burgers.
