We had to go to an Appt downtown near Cindy's Cafe decided to give it a try. Hostess was friendly & our server #8 she was on top of things. The place is fairly big & rustic, inside nice. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak w/ gravy, mashed potatoes & fried green tomatoes. The Chicken Fried Steak was cooked & tasted great, mashed potatoes were good but the fried green tomatoes a little tart sour. We also ordered the Chicken & dressing, Mac & Cheese & a Salad. Everything was flavorful but once I bit into a Bone ( and lots of them in the Chicken) I couldn't eat anymore except the salad & Cranberry sauce. Service was good watch out for the Chicken. We were Disappointed that they didn't offer a Military Discount & they have an Air Force Poster on the window. First place since moving back that doesn't support the Military that we have found. read more

We visited Cindy's restaurant in Prattville, Alabama this afternoon after not eating there for several months. We stopped going because the new management seemed to be more concerned about the profits than the customer experience. Several servers quit because of this. The food has really gone downhill, and the place was basically empty at lunch. Back before we stopped going there, if you didn't get there when the doors were opened, you were almost always guaranteed a wait. Even though it wasn't a long wait, the place was usually full. We got there about 11:15 am today and the place was almost empty. We only recognized one server from the past. The food wasn't fresh. We had the buffalo chicken salad and the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. The Chicken tasted old and overcooked. The fries seemed to have been re-heated to death! It's sad, but the bread of the buffalo chicken sandwich was the best part of the meal. Don't think we'll be back anytime soon. That's sad because we have been eating lunch there at least once a week for years up until several months ago. The inside hasn't been updated in ages. read more

I had a couple of employees tell me that this Cafe steals the tips from the wait staff. Puts me in mind of Amy's Baking Company from the kitchen nightmares show. However the food was not bad. Nothing special but not bad. read more

The food is great. It always comes out warm and delicious. The service is great i am a family friend of the owner she (Cindy) is always so nice. The workers are amazing and bring food as quickly as possible. The whole vibe of the place is so cool. For example it's a diner with a classic Alabama touch. Grew up in Alabama, my mom suggest we go and get a taste of Alabama home cooking food. My experience was wonderful food was good. A local favorite, it was a 30-40 minute drive for us from the lake. The service was good, the lady who served us was kind and could not do enough for us. I would go back. What you see is what you get, not always the case these days. We went to Cindy's via recommendation from a local lady. It was okay. The locals love it. It was packed the whole time we were there. I had meatloaf and it was okay and served warm not hot. Our waitress was very friendly but she was overworked and all the locals wanted to visit with her. Best part of going to Cindy's was visiting downtown Prattville. Been in Prattville about two years and have not tried. Decided to drop in for a quick lunch. Server suggested the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Perfect toasted bun, butter Buffalo sauce and juicy chicken. Crinkle fries were very good. Service was friendly and attentive. Decor was simple and restaurant was clean. We do not live in this area but went out of our way to have lunch here and will again anytime we are traveling nearby. The staff was friendly and efficient. There was a line waiting to get in when we left at 12:45-it's that good! We had the club sandwich and a chicken Philly with fries and onion rings. It was all delicious but the onion rings are stellar! In addition, Ms Cindy is a treasure! I'm astounded there are so few reviews; I suppose the patrons just don't want to spread the word! read more
