This place was so good that we went twice and the second time we brought our family! The restaurant gives kind of modern farm kitchen vibes which nice. While here I tried the shrimp and grits, 3 meat omelet, and the chicken and waffle sliders. Hands down the shrimp and grits may be the best I've ever had. I appreciated that the sauce was not oily and they give a good amount of shrimp and conecuh sausage (this specific sausage is the key) for the amount of grits they give you. This may be the best shrimp and grits I've ever had so if you don't know what to order, you can't go wrong with this choice. The 3 meat omelet was bomb as well with plenty of meat inside the omelet with a choice of side. Lastly, the chicken and waffle sliders were also really good. The chicken is crispy and the hot honey sauce it comes with naturally motivates you to dip the chicken into the syrup (thank me later if this didn't cross your mind until now). I can't forget the sweet tea is very sweet and when you ask for a side of lemons, they actually cut a lemon up for you which I appreciate from a sanitary standpoint. In case you were also wondering, they offer military discounts and they will sing happy birthday if you ask (no free dessert but they do have some really good beignets to purchase). The beignets are really soft and go great with the ganauche. The only downside for this restaurant is the service is a bit slow. Both days it took quite a bit of time to be greeted by a server and sometimes they take a while to come by your table. This is a minor fix but if this can be rectified this is easily a 5 star brunch place that the city needed. I recommend this restaurant to anyone considering coming to it and I look forward to coming back to eat here (my mom still talks about the shrimp and grits lol).

What a fun spot with great food! The service was friendly and fast, coffee hot and fresh. Get there early, it gets packed fast.

This was our second time going and definitely not disappointed! We sat at the bar and got the drunken waffle and honey lattes to start along with tuna nachos. The coffee came out beautifully and so did our app! It was spicy and sweet without being too much. For the entrees, we got the eggs Benny sampler, asparagus, shakshuka, and breakfast hash. The shakshuka was spicy with perfectly cooked eggs. I agree with Matt that it could have used more bread, but still 10/10. Potatoes were good as was the asparagus, but the fried green tomato eggs Benedict was my absolute favorite. Server was quick and made sure every thing was right even with it being busy. I still adore the mossy sculpture on the wall for the restaurant and kind of want to try making my own. We will definitely be back more often.

The visit started off on a strange note when the lights in the restaurant suddenly turned off-not ideal when you're trying to enjoy a meal. It disrupted the atmosphere and made everything feel a bit chaotic. When our food arrived, it looked promising, but it was cooked way too hot-so much so that we couldn't enjoy it. Also, to the employee eating while working the kitchen left an unpleasant feeling. I will shout-out our waitresses, who made the experience better as best she could. Glad we're only in town this one day.

Omelet, sweet potatoes with rosemary. Delicious.

Food was excellent, service fantastic, ambiance cool, and food price acceptable. The daughter, wife and I had fantastic meals. Nothing but crumbs remained. Will visit again next time in town.

The food here was great and our server was a real sweet guy. I enjoyed how relaxed the restaurant was, over all it was a god experience. I'd love to try some of the other food options if Im in the area again

Ordered the French toast which do not come with sides. For the toasts, bacon and tea it was $25, good but not worth the price. Went early Wednesday morning so service was fast.

Good food, great selection. Good vegan choices as well as traditional breakfast and lunch. Adult beverages. They did not have the drink I wanted, they did not have the side I wanted, and then they did not have refills because they were out of that soda. Then the waitress disappeared for 15 minutes and we had to flag somebody else down to get our bill. It wasn't a good showing. I would try again.

The service was excellent and the ambiance was great! We went midday + on a weekday, so it wasn't crowded at all. The food was decent! Biscuits & gravy: 9/10 Benny trio: 6/10 (FGT Benny could've had more flavor, egg wasn't runny) Pawpaw's plate: 7/10 (decent, average, grits were more yummy than I expected!)

A group of us tried to go to First Watch but that place stays packed, so we headed here and im so glad we did. Slightly tucked away in a strip mall, its got a bright and open atmosphere. We were seated immediately, and there was a healthy amount of other patrons in there. Our waittress was fantastic, had a great personality amd answered all of my group members many, many questions. I ordered the three meat omelette and a mimosa. Look at that picture, that thing was robust. The sweet potato hash was a good compliment, but the omelette stole the show. All in all this is a nice local place, and an excellent alternative to the other super crowded brunch spot

Open, modern and inviting atmosphere. We saw the great reviews and the creative coffee selection. I had the Honey Bomb and if you like a latte with a cinnamon twist, then this is your place!

Loved everything about this restaurant! I got the breakfast quesadilla- OMG! It's something you could honestly share, it's quite filling. But I love they use local made sausage & sweet potatoes. It adds quite a bit of different flavors. I also got a berry blast (or spritz?) drink. It was delicious! Very light & refreshing.

The latter, a horrible disease brought on by lack of protein, ran rampant among African Americans whose diets lacked it. In the 1920s, canned salmon could be had for pennies. Add an egg and you'd have enough protein to stave off the disease for a week. The inventive cooks in the Black community found ways to make it delicious, by adding chopped onion and binding it with the salmon liquor from the can and breadcrumbs. Like so many Southern dishes that arose from need, the salmon croquette has kept the spot it earned on the soul food roster. The salmon patty was a reputed favorite of author William Faulkner who was said to enjoy them quite a lot with liquor. (Or with quite a lot of liquor, I'm unsure which.) An excellent salmon patty can be had at Greg's Breakfast Bar. According to the sign on the front door, it's the best in Alabama, and I'll not dispute it. It's what I ordered on this most recent visit and although I've not personally sampled its rivals, it would be hard to imagine a better one. When I was a kid, my own mother--who grew up during the Depression--made them every Tuesday. (Greg's may be better. Sorry, Mom.) There's no liquor served at Greg's, so I had to eat my salmon croquette with coffee. For $10 at Greg's, you too can sample the best salmon croquette in Alabama. Other local faves like Conecuh sausage line the GBB menu. Eggs and grits accompany the breakfast plates, which make up the left half of the menu. Breakfast sandwiches occupy the other half. Greg's is open early (5:30 a.m. if memory serves), and stays open until lunchtime. When my travels take me through Montgomery--as they did last week on a drive from Pensacola to Atlanta--Greg's is a quick detour off of 65 or 85. I timed my drive accordingly. The interior is classic diner, vinyl and stainless . SEC memorabilia and signed player photos decorate the place. Everybody seems to know Greg. The crowd is local. Parking limited. Makes no difference. Park on the street.

I picked this spot because it was local and they had a drive through for coffee. I didn't go inside but it's a cute little building. Limited parking and a sort of twisty drive through, but I really like the concept. I wish more higher quality places had a drive through. I ordered one of their seasonal specials, the Cadbury Egg. It's a double shot espresso with white mocha, regular mocha, and caramel. It gave me /bad/ sticker shock. I ordered the smaller size and it was almost $9. For the size of it, I thought the price was very, very high. Service was also quite bumpy. The girl who took my order didn't seem too happy to see me but she took my payment and went back to make my drink. We waited a while, and then a different, friendlier girl came to see if we'd been helped, which we said we had. Then we waited....a lot longer. The first girl finally came back after an extended time, made a very halfhearted apology for our wait (after we watched her horsing around with a male employee right behind the window) , and we were finally on our way. The drink was aggressively fine. I didn't taste any caramel and it mostly had a sort of nondescript mocha vibe. It was a touch on the bitter/burnt side too, though not unmanageable. I think I'm more upset about the price vs the size and quality rather than anything intrinsically wrong with the drink; if I could've had the same drink at around ~$5-6 I'd probably bump up to a 3 star rating. As is, though, it was a mid drink for a high price served very, very slowly with a touch of surliness. I wonder if service is quicker on the inside. They didn't seem too busy but it's hard to tell what was going on indoors; the drive through had no one ahead of us though. The food offerings look good. Perhaps I just caught them on a bad day.
