This was a great place to stop by with some friends from school and grab a much needed break for lunch. The service was great and the food was delicious. Coupled only buy a nice booth and window view on a beautiful day. Though there are a lot of breakfast spots in the air to choose from, first watch on Zelda had ample parking and was in a nice neighborhood . What I enjoyed about this particular outing was the friendliness of the staff despite a shift turnover I'm talking everyone from the front of house to the bus to the waiter, etc. no matter who our table interacted with no one missed a beat or skipped out on awesome customer service. First visit today 8/8/26. I am handicapped on a walker. Every door inside, restroom especially.was extremely hard to open- solid wood, weighed a ton! Men's room handicapped stall was gross huge puddle of urine in front of toilet and toilet bowl was filthy! Food was mediocre, omelet content was watery and PicoDe Gallo- watery tomatoes mostly! In the local area for a 3 week training course at Maxwell Air Force Base. I perused Yelp for a good breakfast restaurant in the local Montgomery area. First Watch had generally decent reviews so I opted to venture out and try them. Upon arrival, I was quickly assisted by the host who escorted me to a table. The dining area is very clean and decorated well. JC was my waiter he was very kind and quickly brought water and coffee. I ordered the Healthy Turkey omelette with fruit cup not the side. The coffee was amazing, although it's an extra $4. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and it tasted good. The only issue I had was that it was super salty, likely due to the feta cheese and sliced deli turkey meat they used. I would suggest maybe low/no salt turkey. The toast was great and the fruit cup came with blueberries, pineapple, and grapes. Overall, it was good food, great service, and reasonably priced. Bathrooms were clean and they received a decent score of 89 on their most recent health inspection. read more

Joined the waitlist as we were driving there as I knew this would help speed up the waiting process. Got there, checked in and confirmed our party of 5 for the wait list. Let them know the 5th member was a baby so the hostess asked if a high chair was needed in which I responded yes. Told we would get a text shortly after. Text arrived (about 5 min later) and we found the hostess to check back in. As he pointed to the table, he had forgotten high chair was needed......literally 5 min after we just spoke about it. He said we would need to be put back on the wait list. Luckily, we brought our own high chair and made it work. Still somewhat frustrating. Sat there got a good 10 min before our waitress arrived. Apologized for the wait and took our drink and food order. Another 15 min go by with still no waters nor drinks. Another waitress stopped by and was helping our waitress out. Took our drink order again and brought them back to us. Told we would get waters shortly. Another 5 min go buy and a third waitress comes over to give us water. I was actually very impressed with the teamwork. It was nice to see other staff stepping in to help out Then 40 min go buy and we finally get our food, which is always delicious. This is something we have noticed at every single First Watch location, having to wait a very long time for the food order. First time we have eaten at this establishment. And I was not impressed. Upon entering shortly after opening on a Wednesday morning, this Prattville restaurant is essentially empty - we were greeted by the hostess and we asked for a booth. EVERY BOOTH was open and it took her about 2 minutes of us standing there for her to figure out where to seat us. That was awkward - no conversation - just her looking at the screen. After being seated and while waiting for our server I noticed there was sticky residue on the table that was obviously there from the previous night since they had just opened. This is going downhill fast. I ordered the Trifecta which is 2 eggs, a whole grain pancake and bacon for $13.79 along with a coffee which is $3.99. Wife ordered a side of bacon $5.79 for 3 pieces of bacon and a side of grits $3.49 and just had water. The bill was $29.63 before the tip. Our food took well over 20 minutes to get to the table. The grits were the hottest thing that was served and my wife said the bacon was good. (It should be for $1.93 a slice.) But, my Trifecta was a loser. The food was plated on a very cold plate so my eggs were already cold before they ever got to the table. The bacon was also barely warm and the pancake was just barely warm enough to melt the small pad of butter it was served with. I don't know if they were cooked first and they were waiting on the grits to finish or what, but food should NEVER COME OUT OF THE KITCHEN COLD. Our server never showed up again except to provide the check - never checked back after delivering the meal. He never even glanced our way where I could make eye contact and ask for anything else, as I would have liked to have had some additional butter. One thing I don't do is return food to the kitchen, after it's been delivered to me. Doesn't matter how nice I am, some chefs or cooks in this case cause I don't believe that place has a chef on staff just get upset and you don't know what they are putting in your food. I waited a few weeks before trying this place out where they would hopefully work out the kinks, but obviously I havn't wanted long enough. While the greeting was awkward but friendly, and the server was nice, you have to be attentive to your guests and ask if they need anything else. I would have been okay with the price had the experience been better, and my food not been cold, but I could have gone to Bojangles or Wendy's and gotten a hot meal for a 1/3 the price. Or I could have visited Cracker Barrel and received a comparable meal for probably less money. I will NOT be returning. It's overpriced and NOTHING SPECIAL. It's really hard to mess up 2 eggs, bacon and a pancake, but serving it cold will certainly mess it up in my opinion. And while they claim that $7.99 pancake is "HUMONGOUS and to stack accordingly," that too is an embellishment that should be removed from their menu. I really wanted this to be a great restaurant we would like to return to, but if they continue to operate like this, it will meet the same fate as many of the others and will fail and something else will be be built here. read more

Still, today, we're seated relatively quickly, and our waitress was sharp, took our orders quickly and accurately, and made us feel comfortable. The ambiance is family-friendly, like you are at home, and the staff is moving around quickly and serving so many guests with a smile. We are treated with respect during each visit, so there is consistency in the food, service, and ambiance. After Islamic Eid Holiday prayer services, the Muslim community comes for brunch twice a year. I would love to see more acknowledgment of that financial support as in welcoming them during those times of the year, just like other significant holidays. For example, management can decorate or greet guests with Eid Mubarak greetings, similar to planning for any other major holiday. They gave me my own coffee pot, I appreciated that. I don't like having to wait for a waiter to refill my coffee. I also always feel obligated to get a refill whenever they ask me. I could be on my fifth cup with my eye twitching, but if they asked me if I'd like another, I'd still reach my trembling hand out. Bar tenders are allowed to cut people off. Waiters at breakfast restaurants should be able to do the same with coffee. It may be upsetting at first, but it'd be better for my overall health. I think I drink coffee to the point of sickness at breakfast places because I'm trying to get my money's worth. I want to get enough free coffee to the point where it would pay for my breakfast.
