Whenever I would drive by this place the line would be out the door with people gathered outside to wait to get seated. I finally visited and saw what the fuss was about. It's best to go early in the morning when they first open to hear the crowd and have the lost relaxed dining experience. I've been here three times now, and each time I had a great experience dining with my family. The food is consistent in taste and quality and the wait staff is attentive even during busier times. I had a Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl at Zelda Montgomery. The meal appears unpleasant and contains a disproportionate quantity of liquid. I didn't expect them to provide this meal at such a high price. You may have to walk a bit, but it shouldn't be too bad. Food: Sooooo I got the Ricotta Lemon Pancakes. Oh, Lord. I said that every time I took a bite. Don't be fooled when you see it. It's so deceitful how magical that pancake is. I RARELY finish my food when I go out, but I could've eaten the plate afterward! My friend got the Chimichanga. Another Deeeeelish dish! She liked mine as well, but I gave her her rations. (Arm goes over my plate and I eat without looking up). My other friend got a burger of some kind. I believe she enjoyed it, too. I didn't know this was part of a chain until I stepped inside. I immediately lowered my breakfast expectations because, well, it's a chain. However, the decor was nice, everyone working there was incredibly nice, and my eggs with avocado toast was better than I've had in much more expensive places. Terrible customer service. I showed up at 1pm and was told the wait would be 30 minutes. I gave them my # for them to let me know when my table was ready but I NEVER received a text or call. The person who originally took my name & number was very annoyed and behaved like he didn't want to be there. After waiting 45 minutes, I went back inside and waited for a staff member to greet me, but no staff came over to the podium to update me on my wait time. While I stood there waiting I saw 5+ empty tables. I waited for an hour and a half before walking over to a different restaurant. All they had to do when I first came into the restaurant was tell me "hey we're super busy, the wait might be an hour or more. I had been wanting to try this place for a while in Birmingham but never made it. Today was the day since the brunch places in Montgomery are limited. I went through Yelp to get on the wait list and that helped out tremendously because there was a 45 minute wait. Once we arrived , we only had to wait about ten minutes. They offer complimentary coffee which is nice. Once we were seated, our server greeted us and took our drink order. He also suggested taking our order at the same time since it was busy. He gave us some great suggestions and was very friendly. We ordered the trifecta with bacon which consisted of eggs, one pancake and bacon and we ordered the works omelette with a carrot and pecan waffle. Our food was very good. The eggs were very fluffy, the bacon wasn't over cooked, the pancakes were the best and I forgot the potatoes were amazing. Our over all experience was a good one. In my time in Montgomery, I came here a few times on the weekends for breakfast and definitely was not dissappointed either time. I got there right before the rush both times as it was Sunday morning and everyone comes here right after church ends. They change their menu every so often but their seasonal at the time was had steak and hash and a breakfast burrito. The steak and has was definitely my favorite. They also have donut holes as an appetizer and their bacon that is good to share if you have a table of people. Their drinks are always great too. The bacon and the cinnamon roll are both a must try. The short rib poutine was very good but a little salty or at least the cheese curds were. I have been in Montgomery, AL for about 5 weeks and this was by far the BEST food i have tasted. Everything was delicious. It is very busy, BUT- the staff does an amazing job in beIng on top of orders. The wait wasn't as bad as expected and from the time we were seated to the time we left our waiter stayed attentive.
