We first came to the drive-thru, and no one came to the window after we waited several minutes and ran over the bell sound twice. We proceeded to walk into the cafe, where we were warmly greeted by the front and customers comfortably sat around. The location was extremely fascinating with its downstairs cafe, and more seating upstairs, where the bathrooms were located. We didn't have to wait too long for our chai and coffee order. I also ordered a Fig and Brie Melt, and my husband and I forgot what he ordered to eat. The food and drinks were forgettable, but pricey. Bumped by here about two weeks ago for a drink for the road after lunch on our way out of town headed to the gulf. I picked this spot because it was local and they had a drive through for coffee. I didn't go inside but it's a cute little building. Limited parking and a sort of twisty drive through, but I really like the concept. I wish more higher quality places had a drive through. I ordered one of their seasonal specials, the Cadbury Egg. It's a double shot espresso with white mocha, regular mocha, and caramel. It gave me /bad/ sticker shock. I ordered the smaller size and it was almost $9. For the size of it, I thought the price was very, very high. Service was also quite bumpy. The girl who took my order didn't seem too happy to see me but she took my payment and went back to make my drink. We waited a while, and then a different, friendlier girl came to see if we'd been helped, which we said we had. Then we waited....a lot longer. The first girl finally came back after an extended time, made a very halfhearted apology for our wait (after we watched her horsing around with a male employee right behind the window) , and we were finally on our way. The drink was aggressively fine. I didn't taste any caramel and it mostly had a sort of nondescript mocha vibe. It was a touch on the bitter/burnt side too, though not unmanageable. I think I'm more upset about the price vs the size and quality rather than anything intrinsically wrong with the drink; if I could've had the same drink at around ~$5-6 I'd probably bump up to a 3 star rating. As is, though, it was a mid drink for a high price served very, very slowly with a touch of surliness. I wonder if service is quicker on the inside. They didn't seem too busy but it's hard to tell what was going on indoors; the drive through had no one ahead of us though. The food offerings look good. Also got a chorizo burrito for my fiance and he said it was also a little dry. Would come back for the coffee! My barista was also so polite, I didn't get to catch their name though! Was very intrigued to try this place after seeing all the hype on Yelp. My coworkers and I ordered the sausage, egg, and croissant sandwich -- it was good, but nothing off the charts. The bread was nicely toasted, but overall it felt like your average breakfast sandwich. I was really excited to try the Pumpkin White Mocha, but it was a letdown. Vintage Cafe could easily be considered a coffee shop gem in Montgomery. While visiting I was on the hunt for a local coffee shop and this cafe did not disappoint. I was surprised to find out that it's actually an old bank turned cafe! It was super clean inside although it was thriving within the hour. I liked how they had an upstairs, downstairs, and "office" space. There wasn't much background noise other than light conversations amongst guests and water was available at multiple stations. I ordered a medium ice chai latte. Honestly I've had better chai but I finished it nonetheless. To me it tasted very fragrant almost like perfume. The star of my morning was the Lox Bagel. The proportions of each tasting element were perfection and the flavor... a dream. If you start your day with this you can't lose! read more

Dining at Vintage Cafe was a very nice experience from start to finish. I was very excited to come by and try to the food here as I have heard great reviews beforehand. Once entering, I loved the view of the inside, having two floors with glass railing. It is a good place to come and dine or sip coffee while browsing on your laptop. Very nice feel. This is the 2nd time we've been here passing through Montgomery. The food here is excellent. My wife had the Cloverdale sandwich and tomato bisque soup and I had the turkey blt. Everything was excellent. The food is freshly made here. The blt comes in focaccia bread and the turkey is served warm and thinly sliced. The Cloverdale sandwich has fresh apple, cheese & walnuts. Delicious. The tomato bisque soup was delicious as well. Freshly made with chunks of tomato. The service was friendly. Vintage Cafe is a coffee shop and daytime eatery featuring Stumptown Coffee Roasters coffee and Steven Smith Teamaker teas. The cafe is located in the historic Regions and First National Bank building. You can see other elements of the old bank throughout the cafe. In addition to coffee, we ordered the Martha's Melt, Avocado Toast, and Multi Berry Smoothie. We enjoyed our food and beverage as much as we enjoyed the cafe's ambiance and vibe. The owner/architect brilliantly found a way to honor the building's bank roots within a sleek, modern design. The Martha's Melt featured peppered bacon, brie, fig jam, and arugula on multigrain bread. The bacon was well cooked with hints of pepper. You really can't go wrong with fig jam and brie, but the toasted, buttery bread was also delicious. I also enjoyed the smooth, balanced taste of my Americano (plus I love a cafe that provides heavy cream as an option). My husband enjoyed the Avocado Toast, which contained avocado, roasted tomatoes, balsamic onions, hard boiled egg, and arugula on wheat toast. The onions had a great balsamic taste to compliment the creamy avocado and we loved the well-seasoned tomatoes. Our parents gave high praise for their smoothie. I really loved the ambiance and vibe of the restaurant and I would visit again if I am ever anywhere in Montgomery. We kept longingly eyeing all of the dishes that came by! read more

They have created a fun ambiance for a cafe in an old bank building. The service is great with ordering at a counter and them delivery to your table. The food here is excellent quality and fresh. Nice space with a bunch of spread out seating and great light. Lots of parking around. My latte was decent, it was strong, very foamy, a bit burnt but nice flavor overall. The avocado toast had good toppings, not a ton of avocado, but the k ions and Andries tomatoes are really nice. The wheat toast is just sliced wheat bread, nothing special about it, three half slices cut diagonally. They have a nice mix of pastries in a case. Basic breakfast fare. I had the chorizo burrito, which was a little bland. The tequila sunrise was basic, but refreshing for a brunch time drink. This spot offers breakfast sandwiches, melts, coffee, juices, smoothies, basic breakfast cocktails. Service is ok. You go up to the counter, order, take a number, and they bring your order. The best part about this spot is the outdoor dining area. A little hard to find this place by GPS, but it's essentially across the street from the regular vintage restaurant. This is a cute little place my coworkers and I would go after work to get breakfast and mimosas. It's in an old bank, which is really neat. I really like the aesthetic of this place. It's got like a sleek modern feel with a slight vintage vibe. Their menu is overpriced for the amount of food you get, although the food is good. The mixed drinks are also on the small side. Parking here is kind of a nightmare. The parking lot is oddly laid out and rather difficult to navigate. Also, your GPS won't take you directly to this place. You can't immediately see it while driving (when coming from Jackson Hospital). We missed it twice. read more

This is my last time supporting this restaurant. I have been here multiple times and get the same thing every time: a chorizo burrito, and a mixed berry smoothie. Every time I come they always seem to be out of some ingredient, particularly with the smoothies. For the past three times I have come, I have come through the drive thru. My burrito has been forgotten several times, and causing me to wait 30+ minutes for this small burrito. I try to support because the food is good, but the service is not up to par. I don't mind waiting for the food, but forgetting my order and being unapologetic about it is unacceptable. Getting the food lukewarm is not the experience I appreciate, as I know the quality of the food when it is hot and fresh. I have gone in twice, just to see my burrito sitting there open for 10+ minutes. It's really disappointing because I enjoyed eating here. read more

Have previously enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches and burrito but today the biscuit sandwich has been a disaster in many ways. The biscuit was burnt and stale. The egg was grossly mass produced and then microwaved. It lacked flavor overall. I was incredibly hungry and chose to just stop eating it after a few bites it was so bad. I also wouldn't recommend their chai latte. I have purchased it several times hoping it will be better next time and it never is. Their chai latte tastes like hot water and a small amount of milk. Another amazing coffee and breakfast shop! Was looking for another good coffee shop & breakfast place and found this gem on Google. Very impressed. Right off Cloverdale road across from their other store Vintage Year, it is not too hard to find. Only two parking spots next to the store so may have to park on the street if you come during busy hours. The interior is definitely well decorated and appears to be million-dollar remodeling work. Very hipster at the same time classy with white and black contrast floors consistent even with their cup logo. Upstairs seating has a small kid's table, a small private room with flatscreen TV with seats and tables that you can look down to the 1st floor. Ambience is relaxing and not too noisy. Something else that impressed us was how clean the restaurant and bathroom are (and we're pretty OCD about cleanliness). The Lox bagel was superb. Smoked salmon coupled with caper creme cheese, arugula and picked onions definitely opens up your palate. Avocado toast is even better. Whole grain toast with avocado, roasted tomatoes, balsamic red onions, and boiled egg. One of the best avo toasts I've ever had. They even have a in-house pastry chef that oversees all the delicious looking pasties at the front! Overall we had a wonderful experience. Great place for study. Will definitely come back while here. I normally dont give 5 stars to anything, but Vintage Cafe is the best cafe I've been to since moving to Montgomery 2 years ago. I cant believe I didnt come sooner. My husband and I got; Rosemary Ham, Martha's melt, Snickerdoodle cookie, oatmeal raisin cookie, espresso banana smoothie(forgot actual name), and a cappuccino. I personally liked Martha's melt the best. The fig jam and brie in a whole grain toast was so well balanced. The sweet didnt overpower the savory of the cheese. So good. Husband liked the Rosemary ham better, but I think that's because he doesnt really like brie. My only criticism would be that the cappuccino was a not warm by the time I got it. So next time I'd just get their drip coffee. Next time, we'd love to sit in the patio. Their patio has 4-5 tables and they were all full when we were trying to get a seat. We liked it so much on the way out my husband bought a t-shirt. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area. read more

The staff person helped figure out the best drink based on what I typically drink, and I ordered the egg and cheese croissant. The ambiance is very sleek, clean and cool. This was my first time coming to this establishment. I brought my elderly parents after a doctor appointment. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The person, Kaylee Kylie???...at register was extremely rude and impatient. We ordered an apple fritter, poppy seed muffin breakfast croissant and a smoothie bowl. The muffin and fritter were stale and old as if from the day before. The sandwich comes with premade and cut egg squares. As I saw other sandwiches come out, I asked Kaylee if I could change it to a fried egg. She said yes as long as it had not been made. 15 minutes later the sandwich came out with the egg square. I mentioned to her that we asked for a hard fried egg. She argued and said the sandwich must have already been made. To which I said then it is going to be cold because it had been over 15 minutes. She walked away and came back in 4 minutes with a new sandwich which she dropped the plate on the table with a loud bang and walked off without saying anything. At this point, I still had not received my smoothie bowl. I asked the manager and he said it didn't look like she placed the order.
