    Raspberry Matcha

CUTEST little cafe / bakery. Decided to drop by on a whim and ended up falling in love with the vibes + raspberry matcha. Workers were all super nice as well and were so patient with helping us decide what to order (everything looked SO good it was difficult)

Loved Lorraine's Bake Shop. We had Banaba Bread that tasted like grandma's. The cider was delightful. And the peach shake was so yummy! It is such a pleasant atmosphere with wonderful customer service!

While out at lunch trying to find something to curb this sweet tooth, i came across this spot. Enjoyed conversations with associate, who was quite friendly....

The gentleman was nice to me when I stopped by. The bake shop has some cool bakery items. I enjoyed my cookie and I will definitely go back the next time I'm in the area.

What an amazing find! I had this place bookmarked before leaving Tampa. It just happened to pop up on Google reviews as being a new bakery. I didn't exactly know where it was until the baristas at Prevail Union pointed me in the right direction. Low and behold, it was right across the street from Lower Dexter Park and next door to Island Delight. It's difficult to see the sign from across the street. Just look for the mixing tools on the glass windows. It's such a cozy atmosphere. It has a farm house feel. There's lots of seating. I believe they serve coffee and tea as well. Lorraine was very friendly, and gave us an introduction to all of her baked goodies. I knew I hit the bakery jackpot as soon as I entered. The aroma of fresh baked cookies hit me almost immediately. I couldn't get just one item. I ended up getting the very popular ginger oatmeal cream pie. There was already a customer eating one of these cookie sandwiches when we arrived. He wasn't the first to recommend it. One of the baristas at Prevail Union said that I must get one. She was right. I split it with my brother who also thought it was very good. I loved it so much that I got another one the next day. Only this time, I didn't share it. All the cookies I had throughout the 3 days I was there were delicious. My personal favorites are the white chocolate macadamia and the chocolate chip cookies. I only wish I had bought more to take home with me. Everything I had was freshly baked with love. This will be on the top of my list the next time I'm in MGM. I'm hoping to go back one day soon with my husband. It's THE place to go if you have a sweet tooth like me. It's a short walk from all the museums, hotels, and stadium. They also bake for special occasions. All of you living in MGM are so lucky to have it. Support this new local bakery!

    Cinnamon roll!

This is the BEST bakery/coffee shop I've ever been to! We are in town for the weekend and have come everyday so far because the ambience, desserts, and coffee all OUTSTANDING. Above all else though, the owners are the KINDEST people we have ever met. We could've stayed chatting with them all day. Lorraine's is a MUST TRY! Our favorite desserts were the oatmeal creme pies, cinnamon rolls, and the cookies, don't forget to grab a coffee as well!

Gingerbread Oatmeal Cream Pie, Pumpkin w/Penuche cookie, Snickerdoodle cookie and Carrot Cake w/Cream Cheese Cupcake.

We ordered a mix of baked goodies. The gingerbread oatmeal cream pie was hands down my favorite. That said, everything we had was delicious. The couple that runs the shop are incredibly nice and patient as we tried to narrow down our choices. The shop has an inviting , home-kitchen atmosphere. We will definitely stop here the next time we come to town.

Came to Montgomery running from the hurricane in FL and stopped by this local shop for something sweet. Lorraine & Bill were very friendly! We got a dozen of cookies- honestly all of them were good. The seasonals were by far the best! A bonus- they give military discount

I was a little confused but I quickly learned that The Cheesecake Empori-yum is a distinct business. The woman was a friend of the owner and she kindly walked me through the cheesecake options that were available. I was debating between the white chocolate triple berry and the pineapple upside down cake for my husband and the snickers and red velvet for me. I went with the daily special - pineapple upside down cake - and red velvet. The cheesecake slices were $5.15 each, which was perhaps a little hefty for the size of the slice but still reasonable I thought. The pineapple upside down cake cheesecake came out hot. I was told that the cake portion had just been baked. I must admit that it looked very different than what I was imagining it to look like (i.e. Cheesecake Factory) as the cake was falling apart. We refrigerated it for a few hours before trying it so that the cheesecake portion would be cold. While good, this dessert very much looked and tasted like cake and not cheesecake. There was also a texture issue for me as it was all very soft versus having distinct cake and cheesecake textures. We thought that the red velvet cheesecake was more successful. It was rich and creamy and the red velvet flavor came through nicely. The slice held up well and had a nice Oreo crust. It was perfectly baked. We were rushing some so I didn't see the full menu. Next time, I'd love to try the soul food egg rolls!

As a lonely…read moreCalifornia transplant years ago, I remember feeling a little uneasy about the prospect of being in such a new place without any of my normal comforts -- including my favorite places to get comfort food. Naturally, one of the first things I did was seek out some new local places to fill the role of my favorite spots back home. This search led me right to The Cheesecake Empori-Yum; after all, what could possibly be more comforting than a cheesecake? I can definitely say that I found what I was looking for. I may have had better cheesecake experiences in the past, but certainly not by much -- it's hard to exaggerate how good the cheesecakes are here. I might recommend trying the original in addition to any specialty slices you order, just to give yourself a benchmark. The last time I visited, I went with the Reese's cheesecake -- peanut butter fiend that I am, I ordered a peanut butter cheesecake with chocolate crust, crushed Reese's Cups, and chocolate drizzle was only right. It was wonderfully dense and beautifully creamy, just as always. I did wish that the peanut butter flavor of the cheesecake itself came through more, though; the peanut butter notes were overshadowed a bit by the stronger chocolate flavor from the crust/drizzle. Although the cheesecakes are fantastic, I think the best part of all is the amazingly friendly service. You often here the phrase "service with a smile," but here you will find that to the tenth degree. The owner is so very friendly, and it's evident she puts her heart and soul into everything she makes. A little shop with a big heart... you can tell each item is made with love. Come by for a slice... or three. I won't judge.

I hadn't had a bowel movement in days and I needed some Sonic to blow the devil out my backdoor. I pulled up to the sound of loud trap music and 22 inch chrome rims. I couldn't figure out what I wanted so I went with the classic double cheeseburger with mayo. A quarter-hour passes and a nice young man approaches my sports utility vehicle. He greets me with a smile, revealing a low quality gold "grille." I tipped the gentleman and rolled the window up to get some privacy for my meal. I was severely disappointed with how wet the tomato slice was. It really bogged down the whole burger and caused quite a fuss. So burger rating= 4.7. On to the cheese tots. Nice crisp. Cheese had pretty good coverage. The one thing that disappointed me was the sweetness of the ketchup. Just the sweetness of the ketchup reduces the score down to a 6.7. All in all, it was OK. Not great. Not bad. Friendly service, interesting music. I heard the word "Aye!" blasting through all the customers' radios. I kind of liked it. Now for the perfect ending. I set out on this gastronomic journey in search for a "blow-out" food for my colon. As I sit hear typing my last words, the sound of a loud splash rings through my bathroom as the 3 day old demon leaves my body and water from the toilet hits my gooch. Thank you, Sonic. You're alright in my book. Keep the dreams alive for the poopers all across the United States. I'll be back.
