I am here in Selma for the Jubilee and heard that this was the place to go for all my coffee needs. That was the truth. This place has a great vibe and excellent customer service. The wait wasn't long although it was packed. Overall, this was a down home place to go and is essential if you visit Selma.

Really cute spot in downtown Selma. The coffee was strong, the chai latte was tasty. This is in walking distance to many historical sites. Everyone is so friendly. I recommend stopping in

Honestly I came here for the free WiFi and boy was I happy! The upload speed is 30+Mbps and download 40+!! You can't ask for more in a small town such as this. I had a mocha and it was good, nothing to brag about but it hit the spot. Also had a bagel and it was alright since I was hungry. I know I won't find bagels like the ones in NY where I came from so I was okay with it. The girls there are really sweet and they bring your order to your table. Plenty of seating.

A cute little spot, a one woman show. Jackie is super sweet, with lots of southern charm. Came here for some breakfast. We were told that she didn't have "breakfast breakfast" but she did have breakfast sandwiches. My friend and I both got the ham and egg croissant with cheese; cheddar for me, pepper jack for here. What's not to love? A simple sandwich done right. For a city girl, their non-"breakfast" sandwich puts our Yankee sammies to shame.

This local spot, about half a mile from the Edmund Pettus Bridge was a delight to find. We walked in and asked if they did breakfast. The woman working there said, "well, we don't do Breakfast breakfast, but I can make you some croissant sandwiches with eggs and stuff." Of course we agreed, because there was no way we wanted to start the day off with some crappy fast chain breakfast, which are in abundant supply in Selma. Let me tell you, what we got was quite the bourgeois of breakfast sandwiches: a fresh and flaky croissant, with eggs, meat and perfectly melted cheese! That's what I call breakfast.

The best thing going in Selma! The coffee is great and the morning scones and muffins are homemade.

Generic white bread, over heated, burnt coffee. If you're travelling through and see this just keep travelling.

If you're looking for the go-to BBQ spot in Selma, this is it. No question. This place delivers…read morethat authentic, Southern, mom-and-pop barbecue experience that you hope for when you're in Alabama. They cover most of the BBQ classics -- pork, chicken, ribs, burgers, and all the traditional Southern sides -- though no brisket here. Honestly? You won't even miss it. We ordered the 1/2 lb of BBQ pork plate with fried okra and corn nuggets (the plate comes with two sides, which is perfect). The pork was everything great barbecue should be: moist, smoky, tender, and packed with flavor. You could taste the care in every bite. It's the kind of meal that makes you slow down and savor it. The fried okra was crispy and seasoned just right, and the corn nuggets were golden little bites of happiness -- slightly sweet, crunchy outside, soft inside. A perfect pairing with the pork. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They gladly offered suggestions for sides and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. That kind of hospitality makes a big difference. Parking is right out front -- probably around eight spots -- and they do fill up quickly, especially at lunch. The restaurant was busy with mostly locals, which is always a great sign. The location is tucked away in a residential area, so definitely look up directions beforehand. There's a small street sign, but it's easy to miss if you're not paying attention. All in all, this spot has that genuine small-town BBQ charm with big-time flavor. If you're in Selma and craving real Southern barbecue, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

We also added in some fried hot wings, which were crunchy and pleasantly spiced. On the side, we enjoyed the crispy slaw and sweet corn nuggets. Of course we washed it all down with some sweet tea. Man, I wish I could have those ribs for breakfast every day! Also, the folks at Lannie's were really nice.
