Averaging a 4.4 rating across all platforms, this charming little family-owned spot offers delicious donuts. As the only donut shop I could find in South Alabama that opens at 4:30 a.m., they gained my attention. All other shops weren't opening until later after I would have already departed the area on my road trip to Louisiana. So I gave Donuts D Lite a try. And I'm glad I did! I highly recommend their vanilla cream filled donut, probably the star of the show. All of their other flavors are delicious as well, and they even threw in a few tasty donut holes with my order. But I still dream about that vanilla cream!

When I got home with it, the order was completely wrong. Waffle House does not have a telephone number where you can call and talk to a manager. I had to get in my vehicle and drive up there only to be greeted by a worker who was hostile. She kept blaming it all on the fact she was the only one there. I told her that was not my problem that my order was wrong and I wanted it fixed. I finally got disgusted and walked out and she followed me out to my vehicle still telling me I was trespassed from there.
