Bland food decent service. The atmosphere is very family friendly and a little childish. Food made me full but the hamburger was dry and the fries were bland and no seasoning. I asked for the John Wayne burger. It is a patty, Swiss cheese, bacon, pickles, and their house gravy on Texas Toast. There was barely any cheese on the burger. Also they charge you 2 dollars for a water and they bring it out in a bottle with a cup full of ice. read more

First time going and I Got the Quad burger and fries which had 4 different cheeses, so delicious! My husband had the Buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and he loved it also! My kids 4 and 2, had corn dogs and chicken fingers with fries and they ate every bit! Would definitely go back. They were serving shrimp today and I will get next time, they looked huge! read more

This little diner is right off I-65 and a great little find that beats the heck out of fast food! Worn out booths and local ads under the tabletop and Marvel posters all the walls give this place a pretty unique/eclectic atmosphere. Service was fine - a couple young ladies just as sweet and polite as can be. Thursday night special was the "Low Boil" ..... boiled shrimp, corn on the cob, red potatoes and conecah sausage in a bowl with a big piece of bread (should've been cornbread but that's my only negative). The rest of the menu was different variations of burgers and hot dogs and things like Philly Cheesesteaks. Pepsi products (eh) but Dr Pepper for the win. Two meals and sodas for less than $30 was great! Going back to try some of the other items soon. read more

One thing I love about road trips are obviously the places you find to eat along the way. So often times with a post-work road trip, hunger hits well before you reach your destination. If only there was a great app to find unique spots along your journey... You guessed it, Yelp app to the rescue. We found ourselves riding down I-65 fast approaching Prattville. Joe Mama's popped up on the app with a great rating and only a couple of miles off the interstate. So we decided to pop in and give it a shot. The ambiance is definitely unique. It is very bright on the inside with a stool counter right when you walk in and two bigger dining rooms to the left. We were greeted by our waitress pretty quickly and she picked up that it was our first time to visit. She was blown away that we found this place and had never been to Millbrook. But she was very friendly and a helpful guide through the menu. This is a burger joint, so we obviously had to go with the burgers. We planned on splitting an order of fries and onion rings. But after some convincing by our waitress (which was not hard to do), we decided on the onion rings and buffalo chicken fries to accompany our burgers. I don't remember what my wife got, but I went with the John Wayne. A burger on texas toast with a house made gravy/bbq sauce/I am not sure what it was. But it was delicious. The buffalo chicken fries are basically fries with cheese melted on it, covered with buffalo sauce and ranch and tossed with chopped up chicken fingers. Very interested idea that was quite delicious. Our burgers were great, the onion rings were obviously freshly made, and the service was top notch. Joe Mama's is added to our list of place "off the beaten path" places we would love to stop in again. read more

Had lunch here w the Bf, huge amounts of food at great prices. Definitely not diet friendly but the chili cheese fries are worth it. Props for the awesome decor. read more

Good burgers! Due to COVID food was to go and slightly cold after the few minute drive home. Will most definitely give it another try!

I had wanted to go there for quite awhile. Today was the day. During this ridiculous "shutdown". We pulled in and the cutest young lady immediately came to our truck. She took our order and was totally delightful. We ordered a cheeseburger with onion rings and a Philly cheesesteak. The food was wonderful and the service was impeccable. We tipped her well and said "we will be back" when this nonsense is over. I can't wait to go back. Highly recommend. read more

Cool, "mom & pop" kinda place... and I love supporting locally-owned restaurants. 3 burgers, 2 chili-cheese fries, 2 reg fries, a hot dog, and 4 sodas.... $40. Food was decent.... not "awesome". I was disappointed in the small portions. Small burger patties.... even smaller french fry portions. I was expecting the portions to rival 5guys.... not even close. I thought the chili-cheese fries were a bit bland. My wife liked them though, and they seem to be very popular... so maybe it's just me. Service was AWESOME.... super-friendly. I usually order my family of 4 meals to go. We have tried pretty much everything on the menu and have not been disappointed even once. Every order is cooked to order and perfected.
