This establishment was located by my hotel in Prattville. The reviews I read for it were mixed: some really liked it; others didn't. So I decided to be a deciding vote as someone who is not from Alabama. First, why is the entrance on the side like it is? Whoever designed this place did an odd job of it. Usually the main entrance is to the front by the road, but here it's on the side. I wonder how many people try to enter the restaurant via the should-be front entrance instead of the side. There are arrows pointing the way, but still... Upon entering I'm greeted by who I assume is the manager. He's very friendly and greets me with a handshake, then guides me to the register to order my takeout. The cashier is also very sweet and friendly and all smiles. If it weren't for the food I'd give this place 5 stars because their customer service is top notch. I ordered their new Cuban sandwich, with an upgrade to sweet potato fries, and a regular size sweet tea. The upgrade to sweet potato fries was $1.25. The Cuban itself was about $9.00. In total, with tax, I paid about $13. This meal was NOT worth $13. First, check the picture to see the sweet potato fries I received. Is this some sort of joke? I should've avoided the upcharge and stuck with the bag of chips. Their version of the Cuban sandwich was okay and nice and warm with the cheese slightly melted (so, perfect). But it wasn't at all a big sandwich, and I've paid less for much more at other places in the South serving Cubans. Honestly, given the area and sandwich, this should've been a $6 sandwich. So because of the food, I have to knock it down to 3 stars. Those fries... Man... I was really pissed when I got them...! read more

I ordered a Reuben and my husband got a Texas Cheesesteak. I thought the Reuben was WAY too salty to a point that I didn't want the Ruffles chips that came with it. I've had the Windy City Panini at the Montgomery location, which I loved, and I'd have to say that the Reuben was pretty disappointing. I've been to the Montgomery locations countless times but this was the first time at the Prattville location. Like the others, this was excellent--especially for families. This place is extremely pro-family. Kids eat free and everyone gets a small free ice cream. I went with the NY Pastrami, and it was outstanding. This little spot for breakfast is EVERYTHING! We visited on our way back to home. The service is great! The people are friendly and accommodating. I can't remember our waitress name, but she was super sweet. I made a mistake and order the wrong type of omelette (Fajita instead of Western) and she was quick to switch it out for me. We eat at Chappy's on a regular basis as their food and hospitality are excellent. They also now serve breakfast. There is ample parking in front and behind the establishment. My elderly father goes here weekly, and when we visit we usually work in a trip, and we like all of the choices there are for everyone, but this last visit several weeks ago I had an issue with an item on the menu. I got the Beyond Burger veggie burger (or whatever it is called). Very disappointed in the choice, smaller than a child's burger (hockey puck?), no taste, and definitely not worth the price! The bun was like an after thought, they definitely put no thought into making this worthy or appetizing to the customer. They could have tried something to make it worth that price. I know now (this being my 2nd try at these burgers) that they're not that tasty anyway (and from my research see they're really not that healthy either - there are many more tasty healthy veggie burgers out there!), so I understand that part, but to have it for such a price and be totally blah is amazing. Might as well leave this off the menu. Giving 3 stars for their other offerings and pretty good service (though our waitress wasn't around much this visit), otherwise judging on my takeaway walking out the door on this visit it would have been 1 star. read more
