    Chicken Parmigiana

Absolutely the best Italian Restaurant in Montgomery, and actually as good as any Italian food that we have enjoyed all over the world. Ask for Kennedy she is the best.

Tam considers herself a pizza connoisseur and this is at the top!

By the end of the meal we were alone, was like private dining! Ordered a drink and waited for my friends. Once they arrived we ordered the artichoke hearts, the calamari and the pork belly. All were good but I liked the pork belly and artichoke the best For my meal I got the cacio e pepe. It was delicious. Very traditional presentation and I added a chicken breast to it to make it a full meal. The drink was a Camilia Row Tea and it was one of the best drinks I've ever had. It was so good, by the end of the night we were all drinking them! For dessert we all got espresso and tiramisu It was very good. Service was excellent, especially since he had to keep climbing the stairs to get to us Beautiful inside, all light colors with a long bar and seating on multiple levels

Italian is my favorite food, so I went in with an open mind and was extremely pleased. First, the interior of this establishment was very impressive. It reminded me of a New York/LA vibe in downtown Montgomery. (With much better parking, of course. Lol). The seats were in a part of the restaurant that provided a view consistent with a VIP experience. Our server was extremely helpful, expedient, and thoughtful. From the meatballs, chicken, and Duck Lasagna, there wasn't one morsel that was not, absolutely, succulent. The meatballs were seasoned to their core. The chicken was very tasty and the sauce served with it was perfection. Now, the duck lasagna, that was the show-stealer. I was very interested on how this would taste, but soon found myself abandoning my table manners and diving right in. After dinner, I was given a complimentary dessert, and get this, a card signed by everyone in the restaurant wishing me a happy birthday. Chef's Kiss. As if that wasn't enough, I was given a complimentary drink for my birthday at the rooftop bar where I was treated to the best rum punch (bartender's recipe with blackberries) I've ever had in my life. The vibe, scene, and Mississippi Delta blues made for a perfect birthday outing! I will be going back as soon as I'm back in the city.

Yes that photo is a small! I heard a few other people in the restaurant comment to the same. We weren't about to complain though as it was just what we needed with fresh veggies and the Gorgonzola dressing was epic! We then moved on to our entree of the Rigatoni Bolognese adding meatballs. There was a hint of sweetness that we got from the cognac and cream! The Sunday gravy component was amazing. I wish that we could have taken a jar of it with us. My husband asked today if I thought we maybe able to duplicate. We maybe able to get close but I double if we could duplicate. The atmosphere was comfortable and upscale without being stuffy while also a laidback bar feel where others could watch the World Cup while enjoying a pizza and beer. By the way, we watched a pizza go by our table and almost snatched a piece. It looked and smelled amazing. If we are ever back in Montgomery we'll be back and would recommend to others. Thanks Blake at the Doubletree Hotel for the recommendation!!

My guy called to make sure they would be open since it the week of Christmas. The guy on the phone, after answering that they were open, proceeded to text a menu and the address to us. Great customer service!!! Upon arriving, and after a little confusion as to how to place an order (due to the coffee shop staff), we ordered a meat lovers.com and a build your own with Alfredo base, bacon and beef. Both were personal sized. After a short week and the owner coming out to give us an update on our order, the pizzas arrived. They looked just as delicious as pictures had showed. They also tasted as good as they looked. The cheese was really cheesing, and had that mozzarella pull you see in movies and magazines. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. Both the red sauce and the Alfredo sauce were measured perfectly. The crust was a star and could easily be a meal by itself...it was just that good. The pizzas should come with a side of red sauce for dipping the crust in. The owner (I think his name is Cedric) came out , chatted with us, discovered we were from Birmingham, and apologized that we didn't get to visit his regular location as they are making some repairs. He was very down to earth and we encouraged him to look into coming to the Birmingham market. We could tell that he put his heart into his work and he has taught that also to his employees. I really hopes he looks in to branching out. He has something special with these pizzas. If you're in the area, please check them out. You won't regret it!

It defies all logic of concept. It's not a restaurant, but it is. It's not a grocery store, but is.... It's not a liquor store, but... It's such an interesting evolution of business man. You could never just start something like this. It's just been percolating for a good while and just evolving along the way. They now are in the whole building they lease as the concept has grown. I love to see a family business evolve and grow! It's call Derk's Filet and Vine. I was thinking steakhouse when I heard we were going here. It is a butcher shop (slash) wine and beer store (slash) grocery store (slash) caterer (slash) that happens to also sell a wildly popular Meat and Three Caferteria Style lunch that lines up people sometimes in the hundreds. Insanity. My reasons for being here are even more insane to be honest. Nonetheless, I am so glad to have had the opportunity to see this place while I am still alive. Needless to say with our recent run on Oyster Bars knew we had to stop in Fresh off the road we worked up an appetite and got right to it. We ordered some Patron doubles, which honestly were crazy over priced at $18 a shot, some chargrilled oysters, fried green tomatoes, crab cakes, gumbo, and bienville oysters just so we could have a sampler of multiple items To get right to the point, the chargrilled oysters which were freshly shucked or smothered with butter and cheese and absolute money! The Bienville were covered with shrimp had a healthy amount of crab meat and a creamy Parmesan sauce that were good but something about char-grilled Flavor that made these take a back seat The fried green tomatoes were very crisp on the outside and delicious texture on the inside but the signature crawfish sauce I can't put my finger on it but it was absolutely amazing The crab cakes were no lie 99% crab with next to no filler which is rare nowadays and the remoulade sauce was totally made in house And then finally the gumbo which was highly recommended due to all the achievements it's one, had the right balance of heat spice shrimp, crawfish, crab meat and, okra is a must try! The po-boy fish sandwich was a healthy sized fillet and you could tell was fried to perfection All in all I feel this was a great experience just touching down in Alabama, the only thing that made us laugh was we tried all this hot food when it was 102° outside. Shout out to Josh for that good old southern hospitality as he took care of us like we were family!
