it's not terrible but it's not good if you value flavor in your meals, it's literally all just fried food seasoned with salt and pepper, service was okay, we couldn't even get through the door without being bombarded by the server telling us we have to pay first when we were trying to meet the rest of our party, i'm not a big fish fan in general so i had the chicken, it's literally just tyson's chicken, they had a lot of seating though and constantly cleaning the inside so kudos to them for that, other then that the food was just blah, i had to drown everything in hot sauce to get any flavor, also good luck trying to find a seat when they open, for some reason these people absolutely love this place read more

Step back in time! The building and decor are definitely not modern but the food is amazing. Not a big catfish eater but I went back for seconds! The boiled shrimp was perfect. They have this green tomato relish that tasted great! It's not fancy like an Applebees but if you're looking for a good ole fashioned fish fry this is the place! The bad reviews have to be from Karen's who wouldn't be happy if their momma made it. This place has fantastic catfish and shrimp, the hot water cornbread sticks and corn fritters were excellent. Homemade ice cream and peach cobbler were out of this world... I don't really care for peach cobbler but the abundant amount of crust with a lower fruit content is the best. Where else can you get so full you can't walk for $15? We drove over an hour from where we were staying just for this place which was recommended by several members of my family who are part Choctaw. We were more than pleased and can't wait to go back on our next trip to Texoma. Actually will stay on Oklahoma side next time just to be closer to BGs. read more

This place is a fat boys wet dream. It's has all you can eat very good catfish and I mean. Catfish not that white fish most of these places call catfish. It also has very good steamed and fried shrimp. A decent salad bar that has all the country fellas type stuff on it from onion wedges green tomato relish and pickled okra. The coleslaw was a little sweet for my taste but over all it was good. The beans were some of the best beans I have ever had. And the dessert I'm just going to say home made vanilla ice cream and peach cobbler. I think that speaks for itself. It self serve in every thing. The place was packed but doesn't take long. I would recommend this place for all who loves the pure taste of cat fish and not the over breaded fish stick. I would give this place 5 stars but the only thing my belly wasn't big enough to get the dessert but the wife said it was great. Don't waste your time at others place this is where the wet dreams begin. After looking at some of the other reviews looks like the bad ones are from a bunch of city folks that doesn't know the country. Because this is a country cafe with good country cooking. After a trip up to the Fort Washita annual rendezvous, we decided to make a stop at BG's Catch on the way back to Texas. Big mistake, as we spent close to $60 for four of us to fight our way to the buffet to pick out small pieces of over-cooked fish (and "fish" is putting it mildly... there was way more breading that actual fish on each piece). We weren't sure if we were eating catfish or striper, either... the signs touted catfish being served, but each fish on the wall was a striper. And with barely any fish inside each piece, how could you tell? As for the remaining dishes on the buffet: the chicken fingers were tough, the hushpuppies burned to a black crisp and fries soggy. The only redeeming dish was the homemade ice cream. Save yourself the trip and hit up Huck's Catfish in Denison... generous portions of fresh catfish (easy on the breading) and perfectly accessible from Hwy 75! read more

This local place is good, really good. When we arrived, the parking lot was full--always a good sign. They only have a buffet. $15 a person. Personally, I don't like seafood but my husband says the shrimp and catfish are good. I found plenty to eat though with the chicken strips, hush puppies and corn fritters. The salad bar is kind of sad but salad is not why people come. While we were there, the people who work there were continually coming out to put fresh food out. The pans on the buffet were never empty. For me, the golden star of this meal and the reason I'd go back--the homemade peach cobbler and homemade ice cream--both incredibly delicious. I'm in agreement with the guy that thinks people are reviewing the wrong place. We have eaten here multiple times over the last 20 years. Its always clean and the catfish and shrimp are always perfect. You just can't go anywhere and get delicious peel and eat shrimp in an all you can eat fashion. Not to mention the homemade ice cream and peach cobbler are to die for. I have never had cobbler or ice cream that even comes close. It is buffet style and it is not cheap but for the quality of food and the selection of food its a good value. read more

Came back from Sherman,Tx and thought we would give this place a try. It was $14.00 per person all you can eat. I got a plate full of fish and I promise you it was nothing but fried cornmeal with a tiny slice of fish you could not even taste. I guess they have come up with something called fried sushi because that was about all the fish I found. The rest was the basic fare. Once I realized the fish was nonexistent, I did go for the boiled shrimp, which had a good crab boil flavor. We went on a Thursday 10/5/17 and it wasn't very busy. I started to dish up some salad and it had gnats coming out of it. I mentioned it out loud and the young lady snagged up the bowl. A few minutes later she returned with a fresh bowl! The boiled shrimp were easy peel and the coleslaw was tangy! The fried catfish was salty and had "grey" skin. Make sure you go early and don't eat all day as you will be eating a lot!! My favorites here are the corn fritters and the chicken tenders. If you don't like fried food then don't come here as everything is fried except for the salad bar. The salad bar has a variety of toppings and is very fresh. They have peach cobbler and ice cream for dessert! I can't eat here very often but I do love to come here when I'm in the area. read more

These other reviews are way off. Are we reviewing the same place?? This is one of the best catfish buffets in this area. The food has been consistently good and I go there at least once a week. From the lines of people waiting to get in, I'd say there are a lot of people who agree with me. The boiled shrimp is the best along with the catfish and the homemade ice cream and cobbler. Everyone likes their fish a certain way, so at least try it. We drive 50 minutes just to eat there!! read more
