I moved to north Texas a few months ago, I ran into an old guy at another restaurant, he sad the best catfish in the area was at BG's in Kingston Oklahoma. It's a 30 mile drive. The drive was worth it. The are only open four days a week for 4 hours, plan accordingly. We got there about 10 minutes before they opened and a crowd was gathered waiting. We did not realize it was AYCE (all you can eat) the are buffet style with obligatory buffet things like salad. The main event is fish and shrimp. Shrimp are both boiled, fish fried , the also have chicken strips. Every thing was fresh and tasted great, the slaw was delicious as well. Beware , Went there 6/12/25, after looking at the website. Prices listed on their homepage Reg. Adult 15.00 Senior Adult 14.00. This included food, dessert, drink, even tax all in one. PROBLEM, when you get there the price is Reg. Adult 19.00 and Senior Adult 18.00. When asked about the cost difference all you get was "yeah, we need to fix that" . Food was fair, shrimp could only have been smashed thinner by John Henry's hammer. A Four dollar increase and they think they gotta work on fixing that. After a day of golf at Chickasaw Pointe, we happened upon BG's Catch thinking catfish sounded good. After a 20 min wait on a Friday night, we realized it was totally worth it!! All you can eat salad bar and Buffet with both fried and peal and eat shrimp, perfect catfish, delish old style (long) hush puppies along with hush puppy rounds, corn thingies and hand cut French fries!! Ohmylands... all so good for only $15/person!! Oh and I didn't mention that the peach cobbler and what seemed to be homemade vanilla ice cream sent us over the top and effectively in to food comas! Lastly, we were pleased with the COVID-19 precautions that the restaurant was taking... take clean tongs to gather your food from the buffet and return them to be cleaned when done. Distanced tables. This place is a fat boys wet dream. It's has all you can eat very good catfish and I mean. Catfish not that white fish most of these places call catfish. It also has very good steamed and fried shrimp. A decent salad bar that has all the country fellas type stuff on it from onion wedges green tomato relish and pickled okra. The coleslaw was a little sweet for my taste but over all it was good. The beans were some of the best beans I have ever had. And the dessert I'm just going to say home made vanilla ice cream and peach cobbler. I think that speaks for itself. It self serve in every thing. The place was packed but doesn't take long. I would recommend this place for all who loves the pure taste of cat fish and not the over breaded fish stick. I would give this place 5 stars but the only thing my belly wasn't big enough to get the dessert but the wife said it was great. Don't waste your time at others place this is where the wet dreams begin. After looking at some of the other reviews looks like the bad ones are from a bunch of city folks that doesn't know the country. Because this is a country cafe with good country cooking.
