Though fries look pale, they were hot & crispy

Food was delish at affordable prices. Staff were friendly. Loved the nostalgic feel in the dining room. If in the area, will return to try other items on the menu.

Absolutely adorable spot. Great food and great prices. Very intimate, clean, welcoming staff. Loved it here.

Hamburger Stew special with cornbread pancakes.

If you are looking for home cooking, this is the place to go! Small place but great personality.

Had a very strong late breakfast/early lunch (would not call it brunch per se, but it was in that time frame) at Country Kitchen on a Sunday. The place was steady but not packed when we arrived around 11. We were able to sit down as soon as we arrived. There were only 2 servers, so they were working hard. But, food got out in the appropriate amount of time and we did not have to wait long on drink refills or the check. This place is no frills, doesn't even have central heat and air. But, it is comfortable and serves good food, and that is really all you need from a restaurant, isn't it? I initially planned on getting breakfast but when I saw the lunch specials menu I called an audible. I went with the chicken fried steak, which comes with 3 sides for around $9 I think. i may be wrong on the price, but I know it was great value for the amount and quality of food you get. For my sides I went with mashed potatoes and gravy, okra, and potato salad. I also tried the pancakes and scrambled eggs off of my son's plate. The steak had slightly too much breading for my tastes, I would prefer a better steak to breading ratio. That said, the steak was fork tender and not greasy, which means it was cooked correctly. The gravy was a good consistency but needed some salt and pepper. The potatoes were not overly gummy but were good classic mashed potatoes. The okra was the winner for me, it was also prepared correctly and seasoned well. Not overcooked or greasy, this was a very solid version of fried okra. The potato salad was under-seasoned and while I would not say it was bad it was definitely the weakest part of my meal. The pancakes look traditional but they are a little denser than normal pancakes, which is a good thing. There is also something in the batter I cannot place, but it gave the pancakes more taste in that they actually tasted like something. Most pancakes are simply a vehicle to get syrup into your mouth, but these were good on their own. I am a waffle guy usually, but these were really good. I will absolutely get them again. This place does classic country food well, which is unfortunately become rarer and rarer. Very glad I stopped in and will do so again as soon as I am down that way.

Dinner was very mediocre, and service was slow. Never could get a refill on drinks. Buffet was not the "recommendation" it should have been.

They have the best chicken fried steak in Oklahoma... hands down.... will melt in you mouth. Minimal chewing required! It's amazing.

The pies looked amazing so we took a piece of chocolate cream & coconut cream pie to go.

I found bones in my chicken nuggets and the fries are cold and they always get the wrong order…read more Service was also very bad the lady rushed me and even yelled at me. The ambiance inside was dirty, it has so many flies, and the bathroom is just disgusting.

Got a mobile order of the normal burgers and fries. Chief complaint is the Double Bacon Bbq burger…read more My husband is very careful about checking his food before digging in. Upon checking his food he lifts the top bun to reveal a pile, a literal pile of raw onions. Pulling straight from the McDonald's website the bacon bbq burger comes with the following, "The bbq burger is made with a ¼ lb* of 100% fresh beef** that's hot, deliciously juicy and cooked when you order, topped with Applewood smoked bacon, bourbon BBQ sauce and crispy fried onion strings, served on an artisan roll. Only available for a limited time. At participating McDonald's for a limited time." Nowhere in there said raw sliver onion. To be very blunt, this is why you will never get the $15.00 hourly wage. If you don't have an ingredient, that's fine. Don't assume the next best thing without consulting your customer first. Second complaint is that I had to pull forward. I ordered ahead on the app in hopes I could just cruise through the drive and pick up my order at the end. I would have totally looked passed pulling forward if I was about to receive a piping hot bag of fries. No just had to wait for the mile high pile of onion.
