    New small plates are that opened in Baldwinsville. We went one of the first nights. Several different small plate options and pizzas to choose from. Since these are small plates the at obviously small so you may have to get a few, this can add up quickly so don't expect a cheep night out. While we were there we got the beef Wellington pastry, fried got cheese and the bacon wrapped potatoes. Everything was really tasty and cooked to order. My only advice is they need a drink menu but I am sure they are working on this. I also think they need a way to bring down the prices or maybe add 4 pieces to the some of the samples so it can be evenly shared between two people. All in all a good place.

    I have as excited to try this new place in Baldwinsville. My friends and I decided to try a bunch of small plates so we could taste different things. I felt bad for the server because he was alone and he had to take care of the bar and serve. I thought it was busy for one person but he did a good job with a smile on his face. This was lunch so I'm hoping for dinner he got some help. The wait was not that bad considering one server. We tried four small plates. Everything was very tasty. My favorite was the Beef Wellington. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I thought it was a little unorganized and the prices are a bit high for the amount of food. I will be back to try the cauliflower pizza.

    I had a lovely late lunch at this new addition to Baldwinsville. (The former Greens and Grains) Very bright, casual and comfortable feel to the interior. The bartender/server was friendly and welcoming, and checked back several times to make sure everything was good. The menu is small, but that's not a negative for me, as everything on the menu sounded very good. Small plates, shareable items, pizza. I tried the Shepherds Pie Meatballs. The meatballs were nicely seasoned with peas, carrots and corn mixed in. They were nicely browned on the outside, but juicy and tender on the inside. They were served on a bed of mashed potatoes that was also seasoned very well. Veggie Pizza was delicious, with broccoli, red peppers, red onion, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. Thin crispy flatbread kind of crust. There was a nice small bar and I'm hoping next time I go, they might have some interesting cocktails to accompany the food. I didn't even ask about alcoholic drinks this time as it was just a water kind of day for me.

    The service was terrific, and the food was absolutely outstanding will definitely be going back and it will be one of my local favorites!

It was a fantastic pour and the light fruitiness of the wine was perfect for the big flavors of the food we were about to explore. Bacon Wrapped Jalepenos. Sometimes I can't handle spice but I'm so glad we ordered these. They were balanced perfectly with all the ingredients and the poblano sour cream dip so that you could taste the flavors and a little heat but it cooled quickly. These "poppers" were crispy and way better than battered and fried! Grilled Asparagus Aranchini. If you don't like Asparagus, try them anyway. It is not an overpowering flavor in this dish. I usually eat aranchini with a tomato sauce but the Lemon Beurre Blanc it was served with was absolute perfection. Shrimp & Grits. Perfectly cooked shrimp topped the most delicious cheesy Grits. Bacon and Scallions put this dish right over the top. Portobello & Truffle Flatbread. Portobello mushrooms, goat cheese, Truffle oil, and arugula. Flavor Bomb! We had our eye on dessert too but apparently we ordered too much food. We were both so stuffed! Marianne checked in with us several times and kept refilling our waters before they were needed. She was one of the best servers I've had in a long time. It had been many years since I've been to Laci's. I can assure you I will go back much sooner this time.

My fiance is pretty 50/50 on how good his steak experiences are in restaurants and he was very satisfied with the entree he had. My salmon cakes were SO good, everything tasted very fresh. The server also did a great job recommending a white wine to pair with my meal. We finished off with our dessert, I had the flourless chocolate torte and my fiance had (I can't recall exactly) a banana cream cheese churro I think? The desserts were amazing every time we've gone. The biggest disappointment with Tapas was just the location itself being down in a dark basement - not my favorite environment. Would try again when the weather is nice and their patio is open. We only saw 2 servers working the dining areas, and the kitchen staff were delivering meals. My recent…read morebrunch experience included ordering a Where the West Begins omelette, which includes "Braised short rib, butternut squash, red onion jam, spinach, smoked gouda". I wasn't sure how to feel about butternut squash with everything else (I'm not necessarily a huge squash fan - but I'm trying to learn to enjoy it), but the omelette was decent... it's the other side on my plate that looked less than appetizing. The biscuit was still covered in flour (and who wants to bite down on a clump of flour?), the cheddar hashbrown casserole lacked in flavor, and the brown sugar cinnamon oatmeal just... wasn't doin' it for me. Other recent experiences have been similar... there's usually one item on the plate that's flavorful or imventive (sometimes a main dish, sometimes a side), and the other parts of the plate are lacking. In reality, I think MIX is suffering a bit from rising food costs and inconsistency in their service and offerings. They've also changed the style of their menu from the original tapas-style to now being more typical entree options. Again... they've lost some of their innovative, experimental approach. In terms of ambiance, it really depends. I've been here for a work event and, because of the number of people, it was SO LOUD... they had also done a buffet offering for the event. As you can imagine, the food from the buffet was lacking, but that's often what happens when you're more mass producing your food (and it's left in a chafing dish, trying to be kept warm). On the other hand, I've been here for a dinner on a random night and was able to enjoy one of their Thai noodle bowls (and split some other apps with friends). The reality is that experiences at MIX are... well... a mix. Whether service, menu offerings, etc., I've found MIX's recent inconsistencies to be a disappointment. Will probably only visit in the future if it's suggested by others.
