Came here recently with my husband for lunch and got the poke bowls. Very good lunch deals and fresh tasting poke with a good amount of toppings! The space was quiet and clean with great service. I would come back and have poke again or try their other menu items!

Came here on a Saturday with my mom and ordered the niku udon for me and the kitsune udon for her. We also shared a croquette. The girl at the front was super sweet and there was no one else in the store, which was a little surprising since we were there around peak dinner time (~7pm). No complaints about the niku udon--plenty of meat and pretty good soft boiled egg. I like my broth a little sweet and this hit the spot. I tried some of the kitsune udon tofu skin and that also had great flavor and texture! The only other udon I've had here was u:don in the u district and I preferred Beyond the Bowl. The croquette was also yummy.

Parallel parking in busy street.. Great atmosphere, order through iPad to select dish, sauce and toppings. Very efficient. They have a selection of different sauces you get to choose of about 7. Poke bowl with 3 meats: salmon, tuna, albacore. Great taste, not fishy tasting, very fresh and clean. Not a lot of meat given compared to other places, however. Overall experience, 9/10 due to the ordering style, freshly made, freshly taste, different variety of toppings and sauces.

I can't believe I just found out about this place! LOCATION & PARKING // This place is HIDDEN. If you were driving past it, you'd have to look super hard and be careful not to blink to avoid missing it. It's hidden between some businesses and the signage isn't great. The restaurant itself is cozy and mid-sized. It is street parking but you're very likely to find parking somewhere along LCW without having to walk super far. FOOD // BEYOND THE BOWL POKE: Salmon, Tuna, and Yellowtail, masago, crab salad, seaweed salad, cucumbers, topped with tempura flakes, sesame seeds, and nori. Served with house shoyu sauce - This was really good! Everything tasted fresh and the combination of ingredients worked well together. There was a variety of textures with the fish, seaweed salad, sesame seeds, etc. I personally added some extra rice seasoning but that's my own preference. If you don't want one of their pre-set bowls, you can customize your own as well! SERVICE // I ordered in-person but got it as take-out. In general, the staff here were friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain about here! OVERALL // 4.5 stars Quite a nice place to have here on the north end of Seattle!

Food was amazing!!! They try hard to provide good service, but it seemed like they're understaffed. Nevertheless, service was good! We arrived just after they're open for business, so it started with a few people. But over the time, it got busier. With that many people, it was still nice and not noisy! A joint in your neighborhood that you would frequently visit. Will definitely be back for more!

We were in the area, and saw the good reviews on yelp so decided to try this place. I ordered the Beyond poke bowl, which has a mix of sashimi over rice, it has tempura pieces which gives it a nice texture and crunch. First few bites was pretty good, but as I ate more it kind of hurt my jaw, maybe my teeth is getting weak, who knows, haha. My husband tried their lunch special poke, it was decent. Bowl isn't the biggest on both, a decent amount. Probably won't fill you if you're a big eater. We also ordered the veggie croquettes and chicken wings, which I enjoyed more than the poke bowl. The wings were quite flavorful and packed with tons of garlic. The main con was it took a long time for the food to come out. We were the first ones there and first to order but it took a good 15 minutes or so before we even got our appetizers. But overall, service and food is good.

This place was so delicious! I particularly recommend the Donburi sukiyaki. My friend who recommended the place almost always gets the Waikiki bowl. Everyone in the group loved their food.

It's the shrimp raw or cooked?

Hi there, the shrimp is cooked and preseasoned as well.

Are they open at 11:30 am or 12 pm on Sundays? Yelp and Google say 11:30 but their website says 12 noon.

Hi Pauline, thank you for your question. We need to update our website because it contains old information. For summer hours, we open 11:30-9 for Sunday but the operation hours may change as fall and winter comes. Thank you again!

None really , they don't have any special consideration

    Is the korokke vegetarian?

Yes, Korokke is deep fried potato with carrot and green peas inside :)

Is there any vegan items on the menu? I'm thinking of trying this place out with friends, and wanted to check if we can eat here.

This spot was recommended to me by a friend. The interior of the restaurant was warm and very decorated. There were a lot of Hawaiian cultural references, which added to the ambiance. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. And despite it being super busy the day that I went, they were all patient with each customer. I had a few samples of their fish, and let me tell you, the fish is FRESH. I am usually picky with tuna because they tend to have a fishy taste, but Ono's tuna was NOT fishy at all. Also, all the different flavors of poké were seasoned PERFECTLY. I got the spicy salmon and the scallop poke. They were both buttery and tender. The flavors did not overtake the natural flavor of the fish, and the sauce was seeped deep into the salmon; the same goes for the scallop. Sometimes at poké restaurants the sauce will sit on top of the fish, but NOT HERE. This place is genuinely SO SO good. I highly recommend coming to this place and trying their poké! + This place is so good that I am willing to make the trip out to this place if I am ever back in this state.

And apparently rightfully so. The parking lot is pretty small and you may have to wait for parking. There are about 8-10 tables on the Inside and additional seating on the outside. You place your order at the register and can see the fish being prepared for poke. Even as long as the line was, once you place your order your food comes out pretty fast. Poke bowl comes with two poke options and one side. An additional serving of poke is $4. Each additional side is $1. So if you like your poke bowls loaded, it can get pretty expensive. Your base options are salad or rice. The poke itself is fresh and delicious. The tako is some of the best I have had. If I was in the area and had a hankering for poke, I'd definitely come back. You can tell they utilize quality ingredients. And it's obvious that their poke is always fresh.

Chirashi bowl (5/5) For the price, you just can't beat it anywhere else. It's totally worth it with 5 different kinds of sushi, shrimp and eel and roe. The fish tastes fresh and the wasabi is strong. Amazing price, generous portion, excellent quality. Unagyu don (4/5) This bowl has a mix of tender beef and eel and it's quite heavy on the sauce. I wouldn't say it's very salty but it is saucy and you need to mix it with the rice properly to balance it out. The portion is generous and it is very filling. Not bad but I'd go for the chirashi every time.

If you're a fan of Red Bowl in Financial District, this place has a similar vibe with its approach to rice bowls. Having been here twice on different weeks, I think this will become one of my go-to places in the area when I'm craving fresh seafood on a weekend south of downtown. LOGISTICS Parking is convenient for Georgetown area, given they have a dedicated lot for customers of businesses in the area. Entering in, you order through the kiosk and if you're dining in, you can seat yourself and they'll bring the order to you. The space is small for larger groups but if you're 4 people or less, generally there are tables available on off peak hours (at least what we observed Sat/Sun). Ordering happens at the kiosk, which you can choose for takeout or to dine in. Keep in mind there are some items available for dine-in only (ex. udon or seared salmon bowls), but if you plan on doing takeout anyways you can order online or call ahead for pickup. Note - they do close at 2:30 pm but re-open at 4:30 pm. So long as you get your order in by 2:30 pm they'll still service you... which was nice since the last two times we came in around 2:00 PM. FOOD First off, they have nice nice presentation both in how the food is arranged and the bowls they use when dining in. From the ceramic/decorative bowls to the trays they use... it's the little things that add to the dining experience and make you think a business cares about its food. (Note: there was one time we had initially ordered togo but decided to eat in person; so they kept the food in plastic bowls for one of my photos.) In every bowl we had during our two visits, the rice was excellent! We've had some terrible rice at other donburi places before where it can be too overcooked or too mushy. Fortunately their seasoned rice was a good texture and tasty to eat on its own. The seafood was also excellent for the price / quality - fresh tasting with a melt-in-your mouth texture. Volcano Bowl: Spicy salmon + spicy crab salad w/ masago - despite the description it wasn't too spicy (siracha mayo) but it went really well with the rice, like a deconstructed sushi roll. I liked mixing in some wasabi to give it a stronger kick. Aburi Sake Bowl (seared salmon bowl): This is only available to order for dine-in; if you love salmon... I would recommend this one. Seared salmon is delicious seafood umami. I liked how the salmon had the right amount of fattiness too. Chirashi Bowl: If you like variety, then this is an excellent bowl to try a little bit of everything. I was amused that they also included unagi (I don't think I see that in most chirashi bowls). Even the shrimp, which is usually my least favorite part of chirashi bowls, tasted good with a slight sweetness. OVERALL Awesome place and a good location for the area given there's parking available. Price was just right for the quality (I'm amused how much cheaper good seafood is here in Seattle compared to the Bay Area) and the staff were really friendly. There are also two excellent bouldering gyms nearby (Castle Climbing Club and Momentum)... so if you're looking to recharge after a climbing session, I would highly recommend coming here!

There are no bells and whistles here, just excellent service, fair prices, and fantastic food. There are only a handful of tables, which is really meant for solo diners and two people at best. There is a handful of takeout patrons at any given time, but that's only because of the wait. It's far more enticing to sit in and experience the magic that exists in every bowl. Water is self-serve and thankfully presented in a filtered water tank that spits out cold, delicious water. A majority of the bowls are between $13-16 each, which in today's foodflation economy seems expected. The good news is that the portion is substantial in every bowl. My go-to is their chirashi, which is roughly $19 but features a nice array of fish cuts that include salmon, chopped fatty tuna, masago, fresh water eel, shrimp with albacore and another dose of tuna. The unagi don is their most expensive bowl at nearly $21, but the broiled unagi with the eel sauce that is dynamite. The textures, the sweetness, and the size is all on point. And due to its status as a teriyaki city, I think the chicken teri don is an excellent alternative to all the seafood. The teriyaki hits all the right flavor notes, with just enough sweetness with the tenderness of the chicken meat. Add in another $1 and it's a spicy version. I so wish there was something like this in my neck of the woods. If I lived in Seattle, this would be a weekly destination. I'm already looking forward to my next visit(s).
