This is a sweet little shop in Lake City tucked unassumingly away in the corner of a small strip mall at the corner of Lake City Way and 145th. I am making the assumption that it is a family run business as I always see the same four people whenever I purchase from them (only ordered take out to this point). The service is lovely. We have only ever ordered the Chicken Teriyaki (multiple times - it's THAT good). The food is delicious and plentiful and the price won't break the bank. Neighborhood teriyaki places are vital around here. If you can't get a good spicy teriyaki chicken, is it even worth it? They not only make it spicy, they actually ramp it up if you like. Most places it's a binary choice so I was pleasantly surprised. Combo'd with chicken katsu, this hit the spot! The katsu sauce side was a bit small. Very friendly and polite and the food was right off the grill hot! 4-5 tables but everyone else I saw there was getting to-go. Wheelchair accessible main entrance and the parking area shares spaces with a few other shops. The service is superb - friendly, customer service and satisfaction oriented. The woman taking my order seems to know many in the local neighborhood and recognizes her "regular customers." She's very kind and social. Prices are fair. Food is really delicious and cooked to order (hot foods are hot). Perfectly seasoned and balanced (not salty, not dry). Great options. Wow! I haven't had teriyaki this good since the early 2000's. There was this hole in the wall teriyaki spot by pike place that was owned by this South East Asian family. The two sisters and mom would grill all day and you could see the smoke from half a block away. The meat at Nadia was freshly grilled and not just sitting in a container ready to be chopped up. The sauce was balanced and not too sweet, and you could see there was harmony in the making of the food. I like my chicken slightly charred and this restaurant delivers. There was a 20 minute wait which I am fine with. The beef was so juicy and delicious and I can't imagine what the short ribs will taste like. Hidden gem in Lake City. read more

Good food, I had the beef short ribs with rice and salad. Salad dressing's not that great. Japanese mayonnaise. Ribs were good and they give you an abundance of white rice. The Hubs had gyoza and chicken plate. He ate it all up. They do mostly take outs. read more

Been on the hunt for a new teriyaki joint. One of my cousins kept asking if I've tried Nasai yet. Honestly, I never made it a point because of the location. A little far from home and not very convenient to get to. (Also kind of a sketchy, undesirable location). But on the way home from Chelan I was really feening for some teriyaki, and I didn't want to cook!It actually was convenient on the way home since I was headed south on LCW. Called the order in, and swooped by to pick up. I was in and out within minutes. I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki (no salad). When I got home and opened the container, I was shocked (and impressed!) with the portion size. Nasai was far more generous with the portion than any other teriyaki joint in the area, especially for the price! I was able to stretch this into 2 meals, easily! The spicy teriyaki was delicious! I got take out chicken teriyaki with the sauce on the side Chicken was nicely charred and moist, sauce was sweet, salty and savory. Rice was perfectly cooked. Came with salad, nothing special. I absolutely LOVE this place! It seems hard to find a decent place, where the food doesn't fluctuate day to day or week by week.. Nasai, however, is as amazingly delicious now (if not more so) as I remember it being 5 years ago. When my daughter was little, the lovely woman sneak her a moon pie from behind the counter instead of a fortune cookie so she didn't hurt her gums, and continued to give her one every time after that. I thought that was so sweet. I live in southern Oregon now, but go back and forth to Seattle every couple of months... the food in general where I live is not great and can not find even a remotely decent teriyaki place. This place is always the first place I go (and miss) and they still give my daughter the moon pie and pile that katsu extra high, and it just makes me smile every time. Personally though, this restaurant isn't somewhere I'd go out of my way for. LOCATION & PARKING // It's on the exact corner of 145th and Lake City Way across from McDonald's and Walgreen's. It shares the corner with 7 Eleven. There are a decent amount of parking spaces in here so you shouldn't run into any issues. FOOD // I got the SPICY CHICKEN & BEEF TERIYAKI - it came with a small salad and white rice. I love spicy food so I was skeptical about how spicy the chicken would actually be but it had a good balance of spiciness and juiciness. The chicken wasn't too dry which can be hard to find too. The beef is fine - I didn't hate it but it was a bit too thin for me. The rice itself was good and cooked well - not too wet and soft but not too dry. SERVICE // I can't say much on this because it was delivered to me by a friend but I do know the food was done pretty quickly! OVERALL // 3.5 stars I would come back here if I wanted some teriyaki or an easy dinner but I don't think this is a place that I'll be planning to come back to anytime soon. read more

WOO! HANDS DOWN FOR YUMMY KATSU! Seriously, this place is wonderful for all katsu fans. Located in a small plaza, this place is pretty easy to find. However, do keep in mind that the parking lot is pretty small, so I would suggest coming here at non-peak hours. Since discovering this place, I have ordered katsu and a few other other dishes. So far, the katsu dish wins. With generous portions of katsu, great salad + sauce, this is one solid and filling the meal. The katsu itself isn't too dry or too hard from the fryer, and the inside of the katsu is soft, tender and moist. Plus, the katsu sauce that comes along with this is super tasty and not like the standard BBQ like taste that other places serve. Bonus, if you order the katsu meal to go, it's quite the portion. You get a box (yes, a box), full of katsu + another box full of rice and salad. So tasty! As for the other dishes, the tofu yakisoba is pretty flavorful! Not too bland, and not too salty, this is a great dish for those who prefer not to eat meat and such. Standard teriyaki choices like chicken/pork/beef are pretty safe and good for those who prefer the norm. As for prices, this place is pretty average in comparison to nearby teriyaki joints. I got the Chicken Teriyaki / Gyoza combo, which I would give an A-. It was good, with a solid chicken to white rice ratio. It came with 5 pieces of gyoza which filled me up pretty well. I also ordered some Chicken Yakisoba to have for dinner that night. This I would give an A+. It was excellent, and there was a lot of food in this dish. This could easily be a dish for two.
