We love it. We visit multiple times whenever we are in Tucson. So many good choices and big portions.

Okay, first off, we need these in San Diego! One of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I had the Reuben and it was the perfect combination of meat, sauerkraut and sauce. The rye bread was robust and held up to the fixings. Delicious! Staff were super friendly and helpful, you get chips (also divine kettle chips!) for FREE. As it should be so that adds to the awesomeness. I only drink water and they gave us good sized cups, which I appreciate. So often the water cups are really mingy tiny. I get that the don't want you drinking soda, but I don't ask for a water cup to mooch soda with. Lots of room between tables. You can drink draft beer and wine, which is nice. I am glad I heard about this restaurant from a Blogger on Pinterest. read more

We stopped in for breakfast which was great. Later we went back for three different pies. All of them were exceptional and exactly the right size. Please please put in a location up in the Mesa,Gilbert or Chandler area. There is not enough pie up here. And none of the ones compare . Who has $25 for a single pie when we could get three of yours for that same price!! read more

I was looking for a breakfast place to hangout while my oil was being changed. You can't customize their egg sandwiches so I ordered one without bacon. It came delivered with bacon so I had to have it remade (sorry little piggy). The ambiance was good. As I am traveling, I was hoping to plug in to recharge. The only outlets I could find were at a couple of workstations that were occupied. read more

This is a great place for a soup and sandwich combo. Their sandwiches are always very fresh tasting and of course, their bread is excellent. I should have remembered they have some amazing-looking sweets as I would have also bought a cookie, but I suppose my waistline is thankful I did not. It is very popular during lunch, and the ordering kiosk when you walk in the door makes it very convenient to place your order & then wait instead of standing in a long line. I have been a few times while in Tucson & wish we had some of these in Phoenix. read more

A great place to go for some coffee and sweets. Their coffee drinks are fairly large and the tarts were not only pretty but super delicious. read more

The pesto sandwich was delicious. Very happy with the food and atmosphere, and the portions for sandwiches are great for big eaters.

My family and I are obsessed with Beyond Bread. We come here for breakfast lunch or dinner and are never disappointed. The coffee is amazing! The service is also amazing and very respectful. Some employees even speak Spanish! read more

I ordered catering for my baby shower from this location with one weeks notice, and everything was perfect! You would've never guessed people could be so excited about sandwiches but the presentation of the giant focaccia wheels and SUPER GIANT pretzel sandwiches felt very classy and all the ingredients were fresh and tasty, even the basil on the caprese was unbruised. The process was easy and seamless, I'd recommend this beyond Bread location any time. read more

What an amazing group of employees. First time at this location, my sandwich came out surprisingly fast even though the place was packed. The Gentleman Matthew at the register was very knowledgeable about all the food and bread. I will be returning. read more

I come order to go+ dine in at Beyond Bread at least 5-6 times a month. Every time has been great with mods. Today I just wanted lettuce and tomato add to my sandwich and I got neither. Do I really have to open all my packages inside the bag to make sure it's right? I thought my mom was crazy but now I think she has a point! I guess I will have to order inside even if it's to go from now on read more

Giving even one star to this place is way more than what they deserve. For some one who has lived in southern California and has tried quality Cafe/breakfast , Beyond Breakfast is a REAL JOKE. They charge you for what they don't deserve and Mc & Jack i the Box can offer you for less. With $ 5--6 you can get a quality sandwich from Sprouts, or even Panera Bread if not wholefood and other Cafe places. read more

I used to love getting a bread bowl with split pea soup in it it was so good wish there was more locations especially closer to me

I've been going to this location for a long time & I'm never disappointed. An amazing variety of breads rolls & pastries. I also enjoy their version of a huge soft pretzel ($1.99) & don't forget 2 ask for some honey mustard for dipping. They offer tasty sandwiches & home made soups. I'm especially fond of their lemon or rasberry bars & their magic bar is to die for! read more

Came here yesterday and ordered the tuna melt. Ended up getting food poisoning and throwing up like crazy. Never coming back here again

This has always been my favorite Beyond Bread location but it seems like the staff has fully changed and now it's a bunch of bratty teenagers? I'm still going to go here (lol) but I called in a phone order, she didn't read it back to confirm she got it right, I picked up the order, realized it was missing an item. Called back, she was helpful to just charge it to the same card already used but not apologetic. Both staff members that I picked up orders from barely looked up or spoke to me so just kind of awkward? Just general customer service training is needed but I still love Beyond Bread so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ read more

Love the food but service is a zero. What happened to Thank you? Placed my order and the employee barely made eye contact. Then said your all set. Looked around and every open table in the place was dirty. Went to the counter to get a towel to wipe off the table and was asked which one. ALL of THEM. Manager was the same. Wipe the table and walked off. How tough is it to put in just a little bit of care into your job? Shameful Wow fast response from their leadership. The answer was more than words it was a response to the actual issue. Worth a trip back and honesty I think it will be different. Worth a try. read more

Great place for healthy fresh food. I added cheese on my avocado toast which came with a mixed greens salad. Their bread is tasty. Will definitely come back if I ever return to this city. read more

I love the food at Beyond Bread, and the variety they have. I always have pretty good service and the cashiers are nice. I took away the stars because I order food to go often or I call it in before and it always takes FOREVER. I came in Thursday a little before 5 to order two (cold) sandwiches and a cup of soup. The cashier told me they might be out of the chicken tortilla soup that I ordered so he had to check with the kitchen. He came back and said they just made some fresh (yay!). I paid and took a seat to wait for my food. It took 15 minutes and the place was not even remotely busy. It should've taken 5 minutes - tops. When my order was finally ready an employee apologized for the wait and I went home. To make matters worse the soup (which I've had many times before) was absolutely gross. It was completely watered down and had zero flavor. I was ticked. I decided to call the manager & let him know about my frustrations and that the soup was tasteless. The manager was very nice on the phone and took my name and order down. He told me he was going to put the money back on my card and apologized for the inconvenience. Only problem is it has been two days and the money was never transferred back to my card. Don't say things if you won't follow through. read more

Amazing and fresh sandwiches! What a cool little place and the bread was perfectly made. Saw them at a local event handing out samples they were excellent. Went to the one on Speedway for lunch place was packed got a small growler (2 pintos of beer )they didn't say I couldn't open it on premisses. Great little sandwich and bakery place that is worth trying. They have a friendly staff and a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from. I recommend the roast beef and green Chile sandwich, just ask for a side of horse radish as this reallly kicks the sandwich into a new level of deliciousness. Try a desert while you are there to, carrot cakes and cookies are a must. read more

We have loved Beyond Bread since they first opened on Campbell, even adjusting our business hours in order to get there before they used to close at 6 pm. The sandwiches are usually delicious, and the service is fine. We went a few days ago and when my husband paid, it seems that there was no longer an option not to tip. As a former server for many years, we are usually good tippers when it comes to sit-down service at restaurants. Our issue is when you are asked to tip when no one really waits on you, just takes your order and someone else delivers it. We like to have the option to leave a cash tip at the table if someone goes out of their way to take care of us - checking on food, bringing to go containers, etc. We frequently do add a tip when checking out if the cashier is super friendly and helpful, but we prefer to have the option of not leaving a tip. Maybe there was a "no tip" option, but it was not clear to my husband. Sometimes we feel intimidated with the seeming pressure to tip before we even know if the "service" was good, or the food. Many times I have tipped at my coffee shop, only to receive less than great coffee. These days workers are paid over minimum wage (at my sister's restaurant in California they had to offer $30 per hour to attract people for table bussing jobs), and I made much less than minimum wage when waiting tables, since tips usually more than made up the difference. Just venting. read more

Bread! I love it and it loves me! We were on a road trip and stopped by the bakery to grab some lunch. The bread selection was amazing and the atmosphere was spacious and inviting. Ordered the chicken and bacon sandwich and wasn't super impressed. It was good but I probably wouldn't order it again. My boyfriend ordered the Reuben on pretzel which was the special of the day. He was raving about it so I had a bite! It was delicious! Melt in your mouth sandwich! We also got a pumpkin cranberry bundt cake for a friend, rustic EPI baguette, which was harder on the outside but the inside was soft with grains. I also got the pumpkin spice latte and it was yummy! I love the hint of cinnamon on top of the pumpkin spicy flavor. Overall, if I'm back in Tucson, I would revisit! read more

The saving grace of the shwerma pita (I have had it many times with no complaints) is that ishad a decent salad and veggies on the bread. The actual shwerma was horrible! It tasted like it was rolled in salt. I took one bite and immediately scraped all of the shwerma off the flatbread. Just to make sure I wasn't losing my taste, I gave a bit to my friend. She agreed that it tasted like pure salt. No one could eat that. Beyond Bread should be ashamed. read more

I've been eyeing this place since we moved to Tucson in October and finally got the chance to stop by. We arrived quarter to 11 and the place was pretty busy. It was our first time here but they have made it easy with menus by the entrance. Therefore, it was easy to look through and know what you want to order. Once you are ready, you can walk up to the counter, place your order, and then find a table to sit. They will bring out your food once it's ready. The process is easy and pretty quick. We ordered soup of the day which is potatoes and bacons, Pauly's Pesto, and Gino's grinder sandwiches. The paulys pesto have fresh lean chicken breast which I thought it might be dry, but it was moist and soft. Both sandwiches was tasty and delicious, however; the bread on the Paulys pesto is to die for, it's soft with a little crunch on the skin, so delicious. I can eat the bread alone with butter lol Lastly, please please do not order individual food and share because the sandwich is huge and they cut it into two. We didn't know and had too much left over. I'm a little sad knowing that they taste better fresh than soggy. Overall, the service was fast and they have wraps and bags for you to pack your left over at the utensils station. I'd definitely go back and recommend it to others. read more

This is a Tucson local so I'm already loving it. They recently remodeled...but it still pretty much looks the same inside, a few subtle difference. The food is still great and make sure to save room for dessert. I love the "Gobble Me Up" salad. It's kind of like thanksgiving in a salad. I also love the Bart's Bag sandwich. I always try to change the bread on any sandwich I order to the Focaccia bread. Sometimes the bread for some of the sandwiches is rock hard so if that's not your thing, just swap out the bread choice. The tiramisu and the fruit tart are great, but so are most of their desserts! Don't forget to grab a free sample of bread as you enter. read more

I visited here for the first time at 11 am for an early lunch. You place your order up front, then pay, then they bring you your food. The employee at the register was very friendly and helpful. I had the caprese sandwich on focaccia bread with an apple as a side. I also purchased an oatmeal raisin cookie. The sandwich was really fresh and tasty and I could only eat half as it was big. I also enjoyed my cookie. The price was economical too. I would definitely come back when I am back in town. read more

Love the place but this isn't my favorite location; the Speedway one is! Feel like the service and quality lacks a bit here when compared with the other locations. The most amazingly delicious fresh baked breads.- Most of them being the perfect combination of soft goodness with a crusty outside, mmm. Best sandwiches include Bart's Bag, Fran's Fromage, and Maya's Market. Be sure to check out the pastry selection as well...yum! read more

Beyond Bread. I love you, I really do. Your maya's market sandwich is one the best things I've eaten since I got to tucson. My friend had your chocolate babka and we ate half of it before the meal. But, the other day I picked up a loaf of bread and instead of rustic, you gave me rye. I bit into it and was sadly disappointed. And unfortunately it didn't fit the purpose i had originally intended for it. I will still be back, but i will be inspecting my loaves for correctness next time around. read more

Of the many sandwich places in Tucson, this is one of my top three (it's beat out by Cheba Hut and Bisonwitches). However, I still enjoy the food here, and love how fresh the vegetables taste, the huge portion sizes, and the fact that a side of chips is free (chips are a essential w sandwiches)! They also offer a variety of choices that can satisfy the biggest meat-lover or the strictest vegan. I'll gladly be returning, especially to try one of their various baked goods! read more
